We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Michanti. The hotel is a beautiful little oasis where you can sit by the pool, read, relax and chill out for however long you liked. We booked the apartment and it had space to work or study, a smart TV and a fridge. I want to especially say that the staff here are exceptional, so so friendly and welcoming. We had such wonderful interactions with all of them.

While we liked the space that the apartment provided, it was limited in what we would expect from cooking facilities. It only has a small pot (however the lovely staff provided us with a bigger one when we asked for it), and no chopping boards, limited cutlery etc. It's not set up for someone to cook a proper meal, if they want. Secondly (and this is a problem in all of El Zonte, in my opinion) is that the accommodation is expensive for what you get. That's not to say it isn't nice, I think there are better value beach stays in Central America.

Everything! The food was delicious, the staff was so kind and helpful. A friend had to cancel last minute due to a death in the family and they refunded me even though I booked a nonrefundable rate. They made me feel very special, always remembering my name, providing umbrellas when it rained, arranging transportation, etc. There were water refill stations so we didn’t have to purchase a lot of plastic. It felt extremely safe and we could walk everywhere within a few minutes.

Just as a heads up, not all rooms have hot water. Not a problem as the weather is pretty warm, but if you need hot showers make sure to book the king suite.

Hotel Michanti is a small hotel close to the sea in Santa Teresa. Perfect for tourists who like to away from the nightlife in quiet surroundings but also close to the sea all of the activities. There is a great easy going feel about the place and you can sit around the pool or on the roof top area and relax for as long as you like during the heat of the day. The bar/eating area is next to the pool and there are several restaurants nearby.

No points to make. Everything was excellent.

Beautiful spot, pool and bar were super, with other little areas for hanging out and relaxing. It's not a massive hotel but it's well laid-out and works really well. The food was all delicious the ceviche was top notch and cocktails were smashing. Staff were helpful, location was perfect - literally a 3 minute walk to the beach!! We came with our 4-month old and it was just super, very accommodating, pool space was excellent and they upheld the quiet hours mentioned when we checked in. Thanks hotel Michanti for an amazing first holiday with our son!!

The only thing we didn't like was the Gand Slam breakfast....bland and underwhelming unfortunately!

Beautiful gardens with great pool, nice restaurant with fantastic food (the veggie curry was top notch) nice bar area, super friendly staff. We stayed at one of the 3-person apartments that are great. Spacey, comfy beds, very clean, nice private terrace with view into the green trees and yard, kitchen with fridge, airco and nice shower (lukewarm, but fine for this warm climate). Very quiet at night, only a 10 minute walk from the main surf beach and beach restaurants.

Price transparancy is an issue in El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua. Many places charge 5-15% extra if you pay by creditcard. Some places add a standard 10% tip to your bill. They did this at Michanti too, without informing you about it at the time of booking.

This is a truly beautiful property just 5 min walk from the beach. The pool, garden areas, and restaurant are well designed and we spent 2 full days relaxing on the property. The beds were amazing, A/C worked well (important!), and everything was super clean. Water pressure in the shower was good. Wifi was very fast. Free parking on site. Included breakfast was delicious.

No hot water!! This was surprising given the price, which I thought was quite high. As other reviews note, only king rooms have hot water. This didnt impact us too much but at least some warm water would have been nice. The restaurant is also expensive relative to others in the area. Iced coffee and the yogurt bowl are not included in the breakfast, but this is not noted on the menu or told to you by restaurant staff. More transparency on that would have been nice. Lastly, there are roosters all around the town and they make loud noise starting extremely early!

I booked superior king room as previous reviews noted these rooms had hot water. They do not have hot water. Not the end of the world, but important to note. Also, if you want your room cleaned then you have to request it as it's not a part of their regular practices. And finally, there are just a few lounge chairs next to the pool. Get up early to claim your lounge chair or there won't be any available later in the day. People do not leave them until about 5 pm.

The property was very clean, the hotel itself is small but they have used the area well enough to have plenty of siting space, space for eating, a small pool and hammocks to relax. The area where the hotel is located is also nicely kept.

I was disappointed on how small my room was, it had to be one of the smallest rooms I have ever stayed in a hotel. The room that I was giving literally faced a wall and there was no view whatsoever! What I booked on line and what I ended up with were extremely different. Misguiding customers is never a good thing.

Amazing breakfast, very fresh and hot when served. I personally did el desayuno típico everyday with either a fresh juice, iced coffee or hot coffee. everything tasted great!n plantains were cooked to perfection, sweet and soft! staff was always asking how our stay was going. I had left a mini first aid box when we checked out and they went as far as to reach out to me that they had found it, i ended up telling them to keep it for emergencies.

out of their control, but my friend was afraid of the bugs that managed to get into our room. but maybe some sort of traps to help? nothing a little lysol spray couldn't fix!

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The variety of activities offered, including yoga. The layout of the space was thoughtfully designed, providing a perfect balance between areas for socialising and quiet spots to focus on work. It’s an ideal place for relaxing and getting things done. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a welcoming and inspiring environment in bitcoin country!
