Breakfast and dinner good. Pool excellent. Staff efficient, helpful and very pleasant. Location excellent - 20 mins walk to Arrecife, 2 mins from motorway, 5 mins from airport. Decor very high quality and very tasteful.

At times understaffed - e.g. one person responsible for everything. Not good even though the hotel was very quiet - perhaps 7 / 19 rooms occupied. The final bill was itemised but the amounts did not indicate reason for the expense - therefore virtually impossible to check. NB Playa del Cable is a residential area. There is a sea front but no actual beach.

Excellent food and choice at breakfast. Excellent food at dinner. Staff very friendly and worked extremely hard. The hotel and grounds were beautiful, quiet and clean. The room facilities were great. We much appreciated our private hot tub and the delightful heated swimming pool. The laid-back understated atmosphere.

No vegetarian main course on offer. Often the dining room was understaffed, so the service at times was too slow (we ate there fourteen times). A lack of tea/coffee making facilities in our room.We found the bed mattress uncomfortably firm to sleep on. Environmentally speaking, all the frequent towel and bed changing, as compared to many other hotels we have stayed in, made us feel uncomfortable.

Staff were excellent. They worked exceptionally hard and were very helpful, cheerful and courteous. Garden and pool areas were attractive and immaculate. Hotel was very clean.

There should have been more staff at night to support the bar service. A family waited to be served, but in the end walked away without having a drink. The hotel was a little further out of Arrecife and Playa Honda than we expected (30 minutes walk each way in both directions).

The Staff were excellent. They were attentive and friendly. Combination of buffet breakfast with a good selection of cooked food was available to order. We chose the option of half board and the evening meals were ample but not overfacing, and to a very good standard. We did not find any suitable restaurants close to the hotel. The closest was at Playa Honda, about 2.5 km walk along the sea front promenade. Arrecife was about 2 km from the hotel. There are restaurant/bars and pizzarias along the front. We would recomend a visit or two to the restaurant on the 17th floor of Gran Hotel. The views are amazing and the food is not as expensive as might be expected.

There was nothing to complain of regarding the hotel. It is a great place to just relax. If you want a place near buzzing nightlife this may not be the hotel for you.

Although just minutes from beaches and good restaurants, Villa Vik was a beautiful retreat from the hustle bustle of the tourist areas. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are pristine. The grounds are filled with private retreats to read or relax in the sun.

Internet in the rooms could have been better. Coffee available outside of breakfast hours.

I chose this hotel for the little amount of rooms they have, it gave me a sense of privacy, peace and complete relax, exactly what found once there. A special mention to Naomi, she was the sweetest and super kind.

Breakfast quality and should be improved. In general all was very good, and could actually come back but tbh I wouldn’t consider this a 5 stars hotel.. a very good 4 stars is more appropriate.

Villa Vik is perfect for a recharging break. It is a relaxing, quiet environment (not the place for those looking for lively nighttime entertainment). The small team of staff are attentive and look after you well. It is kept spotlessly clean.

The lack of sun umbrellas

We were upgraded on arrival to a top room which was amazing. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Cooked eggs as an option every day. Location between aricife (1 mile) and playa Honda (1.5 miles). Peaceful setting.

The hot water to our room was faulty for four out of seven days, and the water pressure very low. We asked about it daily and they tried to help and even offered us another room to use for showering after 3 days. It was sorted in the end and that was fine but for the price I would have expected a discount for four nights. Not much info was forthcoming about what to do or where to go. When we asked for local restaurant recommendations we were told “they’re all good” which was not the case!

The whole experience was an absolute delight from booking in to departure. Staff were all excellent, all meals were of exceptional quality.

Everything was perfect. A truly peaceful accommodation in a nice location. The food was also great. The hot tub also helped a lot after a long day.
