I spend my life seeking out places that are quiet and peaceful, harder to find these days than we think. Royal Marina Suites is one of those places, it is an oasis of calm and tranquility. It is pristine and lovely, the bed was so comfy, huge private terrace and the shower was to die for. The pool area is beautiful and so relaxing, great food at the pool bar too. And they even served great English breakfast tea. What’s not to love? Super helpful and kind staff, really love it here

If I had to criticise I would say there is an option to use less packaging for the bathroom bits and pieces.

The location is perfect, 5-10 mins from the Marina which has a large selection of bars and restaurants and also a supermarket. The hotel is perfect! Small, quiet and extremely relaxing. The staff are very friendly and the hotel feels as though it’s a family run hotel. We loved it!

The only thing we wouldn’t do again is go to the ‘ Grill night’. We didn’t think it was overly special and probably not worth the €40 Euros each that we paid. The posters in the hotel were also a bit misleading with the pictures that were used!

We spotted this hotel in Dec “23 while staying up the coast at the Secrets Resort. I have to say I’m glad we spotted it in our walks into the marina as it’s an absolute gem of a hotel. If you’re looking for a tranquil break, in a perfect spot with class accommodation then this hotel is for you. Everything from the stunning suites with superb sea views to the amazing breakfasts made this a great break.

The hotel was spotless and well-maintained. The staff were attentive, professional and seemed happy. The facilities were top class, there were plenty of sunbeds available (no need to place a towel on a bed before breakfast). The pool was clean and because there were no children it was very peaceful. The breakfast was fantastic, there was lots of choice and the waiting staff were excellent. The rooms were much larger than expected and well-equipped. The hotel was a pleasant short walk from the marina and restaurants.

Having to pay for each coffee pod used in the room, should be covered by the cost of the room.

Amazing views. Very spacious room and bathroom. Looks far better than photos give it justice for. Pool was open 24/7 so was even able to have a dip past midnight if need be. The breakfast is amazing with the option of a buffet or set menu. Though you can ask for extras even if they don’t have it on the menu ( for example baked beans can be ordered separately even though it’s not on the menu)

Lack of room service but honestly it’s a non-issue unless you’re heavily used to it. It’s not too far to walk and get food from the restaurant downstairs. It does close pretty early though ( 3pm ) so if you’re looking for dinner you’d need to go elsewhere. But there are a lot of restaurants/eateries around a 10 minute walk away in puerto calero. Even faster if you can drive there.

These are all minor points: - Hotel gives you miniature shower gel, shampoo etc which were not replenished during our stay - Hotel claims to only change sheets/ towels once a week for 'green' reasons but if that were true they'd not be using miniature bath products! Most hotels in this category have moved to re-fillable bottles in my experience. - Hotel charges 2.5Eur for the Illy coffee pods provided in rooms which feels a bit mean as usually these would be included - The Bar closes at around 7pm which is a bit odd and mini-bars in the room are limited (two beers and two cava).

Just about everything. The hotel is relatively small but is like an oasis, insofar as it is quiet but has just about everything you need to help you relax to the full. It has an infinity pool with a separate jacuzzi heated to about 26C. A lovely pool bar alongside the restaurant, where a delicious breakfast was served, with plenty of choice of hot and cold food. Excellent sun beds with padded mattresses and good quality sun umbrellas. The Suites are spacious with a very large and one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on. The bathroom is also very large, with twin basins, separate large rain shower, and hand-held showers, along with a large standalone bath. It also had a very large 'porthole' style window to let natural light in and to let you look out whilst showering, although some people may find this a little strange. There is also a free safe to use and a free bottle of water on the first night. The location of the hotel is close to the harbour of Puerto Calero, with an access gate out to the walkway with an easy 5 min walk down to the many port bars and restaurants.

Nothing at all, although if being extra picky, I think that a fresh bottle of water daily should be included within the cost of the room and not charged as an extra.

Location couldn't be better - pleasant short walk to marina. Breakfast was a perfect mix of choices and tastes, and glass of fizz was a lovely touch. Room was exceptional.

Daily water for 2 would have been nice (as only supplied with one small bottle for the duration). The bar closed at 5pm. I understand for noise levels, late evening may be considered a nuisance (although I personally would still have liked to have had a quiet late night drink there), however would have been nice to at least enjoy a pre-dinner drink at the bar up to 7/8pm.

A perfect idyllic hotel. The 2nd time that we have stayed here and the high standards have been maintained in cleanliness and customer service

I booked an additional room for my mum who is 81 and requested ground floor for her due to arthritic pain which was acknowledged . When we arrived the hotel as was unable to accommodate this. We should have been told prior to arriving which meant we were unable to be near her when we were at the pool

Everything was above expectation from this boutique hotel. Staff were all so attentive, location was 5 mins walk to a dozen of so restaurants and bars. This hotel oozed luxury. Views were amazing from all rooms and we'll worth what we paid. Definitely one yo return to for a chillaxing, quiet break. Thank you Royal Marina.

Didn't like having to come home, coukd have easily stayed longer. It was amazing.
