The hostal has an amazing location, it takes just about 3 minutes to get to the beach, plus we had a room with an ocean view. The rooms are very pretty and clean. We got out bedsheets changed and trash taken out and floors swept many times during our stay. The bathrooms are also very nice, never had to wait and there was always an extra towel and some toiletries available. On the bottom and top floor there is a kitchen with a kettle, microwave, toaster. There are also some spices, sugar and salt, tea and coffee are also available. There is also a fridge you can use. Overall the kitchen came in very handy.

Sometimes there was a strange smell in the bathroom from the sewer or something. We quite also missed a cooker, to cook some pasta or something.

I really liked it first couple of nights a very small room with a single bed in it with a view looking at a white wall never been to prison but had to be a prison cell three days later moved me to a better room nice double bed comfortable but still the white wall outside with no view l was at Hostel majic for 29days should have had better views if I do go there again l need a shower and toilet

Close to centre of town could walk anywhere, never needed a taxi. Top floor room was near balcony, room had own handbasin shared kitchen and toilet and shower was fine and clean only three rooms shared. Staff changed towels and sheets regularly and would change additionally if asked. Camera security was good and when unmanned the front door was secured.

Had some trouble with electric door keys but easily resolved/

Really nice place to stay when traveling alone. It is very centrally located near all bus stops, beaches and a beautiful coastal hiking trail that takes you to puerto Calero, a posher sailing hideaway with nice restaurants and cafes. You can even walk further to playa Quemada, a remote fishing village. I stayed there to work remotely and the internet was very strong - even on the rooftop terrace 😍🥰 with beach view where you meet nice people to chat with while having breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is also 2 kitchens with a microwave to heat up your food. The staff is amazingly friendly as well. Highly recommended

Location excellent if you dive and/or don't mind walking to the more busy/touristy parts of the town. The stuff was extremely friendly and helpful and made my stay especially pleasant. Two small kitchens and a common area with tables on a balcony were very convenient, especially because I did not expect those. The room was decent.

My room was not cleaned very well (as in: I found a tissue behind the bedside table, a stain, that sort of stuff) upon moving in. However, I was allowed to move in much earlier than I was supposed to which I appreciated a lot, so I did not overthink that.

The room was perfect for a short trip. Bed was comfy. Staff were pleasant. Other guests staying there were friendly. Nice shared balcony with views. Decent location relative to main beach strip. Room cleaning provided daily.

Some issue with WIFI, didn't bother me enough to try seek a resolution. Area around hostel may become noisy in the later hours due to restaurants nearby, not directly caused by hostel itself.

Good Location, in the old town, close to restaurants and bars. We only stayed one night on arrival in Lanzarote, we had a double room with ensuite, the room was clean and comfortable. There is a small kitchen, with kettle, toaster, coffee maker, which is communal, it was clean and ideal for making drinks and light breakfast. There is a large balcony off the kitchen with tables and chairs, with a lovely sea view. We would have no hesitation in using again as stop over on the way to or from the airport.

My third stay at Hostal Magec. Everything you require in a budget Hotel/Hostal and a lot more. On this particular occasion i had a very nice room with a superb sea view. A television included if you want to keep abreast with news back home. A little kitchen if you want to prepare lunch, snack or make a cup of tea/coffee. Large shared bathroom. Everything within the Hotel is kept immaculately clean. The staff are very friendly. If you are travelling on a budget then i doubt that you will be able to find anywhere better or more affordable in PDC. So everything entailed it's a 10 out of 10 for me. Thanks again to Hostal Magec for a great stay.

The bed was a little bit hard for my liking. However, that is just my personal preference and i realise some people prefer a hard bed and others prefer a soft bed like myself.

The room was clean and cozy, and the shared bathroom was okay. There was a smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, etc which was a very nice surprise. The Wi-Fi was probably the fastest I've ever experienced in a hotel. A lovely lady at the reception helped us get the wi-fi password since we couldn't find it. The hotel staff speaks only Spanish but they are really helpful, we communicated via google translator. The location is perfect, a few minutes walk to a beach and a supermarket. Lovely stay!

There was a cockroach in our room, we heard they are pretty common in the Canary Islands so it's okay, but we had a personal issue with that little guy, it went under our bed and we couldn't find it for the rest of the night, so we were sleeping with the lights on to make it stay hidden lol
