My room was small No privacy in the bathroom Shower and toilet in one room the sinks were in the bedroom. I don't want to see or hear anyone washing or brushing her teeth. A bathroom should be in one. The shower was a death trap. No hand rail's and the shower was slippery when wet. Bar staff could be more attentive Waiting 20 minutes for a drink is ridiculous and longer for a bill Also the entertainment if you call it that appalling. Very boring and dated. No iron and ironing board Mini bar only had 2 bottles of water

The hotel décor grounds and swimming pools are stunning , the rooms were also superb. The location is also perfect

We travelled with our 2 kids for new year hence we had 2 rooms, the hotel had a New Year Eve's party which we were all looking forward to attending until we heard the price €337 per person. We felt this was extortion & very bad form considering the price of staying at the hotel for New Year. It was a topic of discussion at breakfast for a few days between residents as not many people attended the party from what we saw. I think the hotel should consider looking after their residing guests at the hotel better considering the price to stay at the hotel. Bar & pool staff not overly friendly.

The ocean suite was amongst the best hotel rooms we have stayed anywhere in the world. The room service for breakfast was excellent and always served on time with hot coffee. The view into a stunning blue rated beach every morning was blissful. The staff especially the chamber maids and porter are very kind and helpful. The sea swimming was just gorgeous as are the gardens and general decor of the hotel. You have access to a fabulous sports centre and gym across the road. There is an amazing masseuse, Agatha on site/ they have converted one of the bedrooms into a massage room. I am struck by the fact that a five star hotel does not have a gym or wellness centre on site.

With the exception of the breakfasts, the food offering was at best mediocre and in the case of the buffet dinner very poor. Do not go half board. The food is sometimes recycled and thus not always fresh, the choice is limited and the dinning room is like a school refectory. The Asian fusion restaurant was good, the Canarian restaurant was okay. The area the hotel is in is Puerto del Carmen so the surrounding area and ambience are not five star ..

We recently stayed at Hotel Fariones and we honestly can't say enough good things about our experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless. The location is unbeatable – right on the beachfront with stunning ocean views and easy access to both the beach and local shops and restaurants. But what really made our stay exceptional were the facilities. The infinity pool overlooking the sea is absolutely breathtaking, and we spent hours just relaxing and soaking up the sun. The rooms were modern, spotless, and very comfortable, with elegant decor and a luxurious feel. Waking up to the sound of the waves and such a beautiful view was a dream. The hotel also had a fantastic gym, spa, and multiple spots to unwind, all beautifully maintained and peaceful. We were especially impressed by the staff – every single member of the team was welcoming, professional, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality really made a difference. Whether you're looking for relaxation, romance, or just a stylish escape, Hotel Fariones ticks every box. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

The hotel was good before the refurb, but now it is absolutely beautiful. The lovely terrace, lush gardens, bright rooms and beautiful public areas simply could not be nicer. The two beaches on either side of the hotel are gorgeous (we swam in January!) and there are many restaurants close by, the best ones being around the port - a short walk away. We did not try the hotel restaurants as they seemed expensive but the bar food was excellent and reasonably priced. The entertainment in the evening was low-key and chilled. Oh, and the breakfast was fab....

A map of the hotel would have been handy on arrival rather than a link to an app, which we found difficult to access as we are oldies.

From the moment I arrived, the staff treated me with great respect and dignity, making my stay a luxurious experience. Manuel on Concierge was exceptional along with many others, too numerous to mention. I enjoyed the comfort of a spectacular suite with garden and Seaview. The pool areas, along with magnificent gardens, jacuzzi's and beach are beyond gorgeous. Breakfast was the best I have ever enjoyed, with so much choice. I especially loved the vast array of fruits and healthy super- boosting vegetable juices. Other guest informed me laughingly that they enjoyed less healthy options of a full English breakfast. I met wonderful people during my stay in Fariones and cannot wait for to return sometime soon.

This is an absolutely stunning hotel a little piece of paradise. Every detail from luxury scent through the corridors, decor, staff and complimentary items have been perfectly selected. The whole ambiance just relaxes you as soon as you walk in the door. The location is fantastic for all the Bars and Restaurants, Shops, Beaches. We only ate in the Hotel for breakfast but every breakfast we had was just great, chefs cook fresh omelettes, fried egg and poached eggs, every taste is catered from continental, English breakfast, smoothies, fresh pancakes and waffles etc. The coffee, Tea and orange juice is served at your table and that is flowing constantly with other juices etc for you to help yourself all freshly squeezed, the coffee was also hot too. My only complaint that isn’t really a complaint is our room was turned down too early, we were always getting ready for the evening when they wanted to come in and turn the beds down and provide a complimentary chocolate. We would have also liked the fridge filled with water morning and night and extra tea bags provided as you were only given two each day. We used the beach rather the pool area mainly because the immaculate and beautiful pool and various sunbathing areas were shaded due to the palm trees throughout with the lovely sound of the residential parrots that fly around the trees, which adds another touch of the tropical feel. The pool areas could be in the shade because it’s January and the sun isn’t as high as it would be in the summer but we were quite happy to lay on the beach in the day using our beach towels provided with a complimentary beach bag. The beach is literally through a glass gate at the bottom of the grounds so no hardship to wonder onto the beach and hire a sunbed, it’s also close enough if we needed to go back to the hotel to use the facilities we could.

There is nothing to not like it’s stunning.

Beautiful clean and modern hotel. Incredible buffet breakfast- beautiful pool and a pristine beach right in front which was so clean and sandy we couldn’t stay away. Room was lovely with great view. Late flight so after checkout we were able to still lounge at pool and there was shower facilities with soaps/ shampoo ans towels which we loved! plenty of seating around the pool.

it’s very busy - so although beautiful it wasn’t adults only - can be hard to relax with kids running around. there is quite loud music from the lobby and dining area so don’t expect to have a quiet evening on the balcony or get to bed early - granted the music stopped around 10 but it was so loud even with the door closed to the balcony and being on a high floor it was disruptive.

The hotel is beautiful, welcome staff were great and the room lovely. Beds are super comfortable, great amenities and the food was amazing at breakfast and very good in all three restaurants. Special mention to their sommelier who gave us excellent advice.

The only down side was the waiting staff at the bar/ restaurant. I waited for 30minutes for a glass of white wine and the same happened when we went for food. The second night in the other restaurant, Erizo it took an hour to get our starter - a plate of local cheese. Such a shame. Because generally the staff were always smiling and helpful. Probably need an couple extra waiters.

Location overlooking the sea through a terraced garden of palm trees and flowering shrubs, delightful, attentive smiling staff. Pilates and the Wellness Centre both deserve a mention too! Very thoughtfully a bouquet of red roses was put in our room on our anniversary, 14th February!

One evening we had the buffet dinner; the starters and deserts were utterly delicious, however the main course was lacking, especially the range of vegetables which were at best dull, at Euro57 a head they could have done better
