The location was brilliant. Really central and close by to lots of lovely restaurants. The bathroom was really efficiently laid out and the shower worked well. Everything was clean and the staff were lovely and helpful. Brilliant value for a short stay in Barcelona

The breakfast wasn't brilliant both in quality and choice. Though we expected this from previous reviews. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anything longer than a couple of nights. The rooms are very small, and not very well sound proofed, so it was really noisy.

Roma Reial Hotel is in the heart of Barcelona in the very beautiful Plaça Reial, the staff is trustable, helpful and kind, hotel and rooms are clean, thank to all staff and specifically who was very helpful from reception Jovanna, Jemal and Karren, they helped with our requests, questions and taxi transfer to airport, reception is 24/7 staffed, very helpful

- This is the location to stay at when in Barcelona. It’s in the gothic quarters and we were lucky to have found a room here. - Everything is walkable - Las Ramblas Street, Gothic Quarters, Cathedral, Columbus Statue, Aquarium, metro station, etc. etc. - Super vibrant with lots of high-rated restaurants at the doorstep. - Includes basic continental breakfast to kick-start your day. - Staff is nice and helpful. - I am a light sleeper and requested a quiet room, which they gave me. The room had no view but I had a peaceful sleep amid all the action. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I slept like a baby. - The building has an elevator which is a big plus if you have heavy luggage like we did. - The room was super neat and clean and had good air conditioning. - They have an outdoor restaurant right outside the hotel which is very good as well.

- The hotel’s basic and the breakfast is boring but we knew this before deciding to book the room. If you are looking for luxury, this hotel is not for you. - The bathing area/tub was too small and the shower curtain kept sticking to the body due to the ventilation in the washroom. It was very hard to bathe like that in that little space.

My friend and I had a great stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of the city, just steps away from La Rambla. It made exploring Barcelona incredibly easy and enjoyable. The room was a pleasant surprise: decently sized, not cramped like many city hotels I've stayed in before. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the bathroom was particularly spacious and modern. The air conditioning worked perfectly and, unlike in some places, there was no extra charge for it — a big plus during the warm summer days.

There were only two downsides to our stay. The pillows were too thin and not very comfortable, which made it a bit harder to get a good night’s sleep. Also, the breakfast offering was quite limited — mostly sweet pastries, jams, cornflakes, milk, fruit yogurt, and coffee. Unfortunately, there were no savory options available, which might be disappointing for guests who prefer a more balanced breakfast. That said, the overall experience was still very positive. The location, cleanliness, and comfort made it a solid choice, and I’d definitely consider staying here again.

The location is amazing and terrific for accessing the metro, the food markets and many attractions such as the Cathedral, the Picasso museum, the beach, the marina, and, of course, La There is a lot to like about the location - close to metros, attractions such as the cathedral, the Picasso museum, the beach and marina, and, of course, La Rambla. There are many great restaurants and bars readily accessible although we did a lot of walking (our choice) though we could have used the metro a lot if we wanted. The staff were terrific and the room was very clean.

The room and facilities were basic (no kettle, no bar fridge, limited power points) though it was a pleasant surprise because we had low expectations.

Our stay at Roma Reial was overall enjoyable. The hotel has an excellent location right in the heart of Barcelona, at Plaça Reial – perfect for exploring the city both on foot and by public transport. The view from the room was truly impressive. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. Breakfast was simple, mostly sweet. All in all, a great choice for those who want to be in the center of the city and enjoy the true vibe of Barcelona.

However, there were a few things that could be improved: • The double bed was a bit small and could be more comfortable • Breakfast could include some savory options, not just sweet items • Noise and music from the square lasted until the early morning hours, which might be disturbing for light sleepers

Hotel easy to find in the middle of the main square. Hard to het to because of roadworks roads blocked Nd traffic very slow. Staff very helpful and accommodating. We only stayed one night on the way to a cruise port .. ideal for this as a base . Very accommodating with keeping luggage secure even before and after check in / out

Not a critisism - personal preferences only.. 1) very noisy very late. Still going at 5am! 2) breakfast basic, maybe this is traditional spanish? 3) roadworks everywhere very frustrating …so taffic, taxi, buses slow.. 4) if you go to the cathedral .. book a ticket first or you have no chance of getting in.. you can walk around but not inside.

The location was excellent, located on the Placa Reial square and an easy walk to most places. The staff were friendly and the beds comfortable. Good for a one night stay. Breakfast was okay but limited. As a one star hotel it was great. It seemed very expensive to us room wise but for Barcelona and the location it was good value I guess.

Our room was tiny, two single beds which was fine but much smaller than expected and no room to move at same time. We were out and about all the time anyway so fine for us but if you like to come back to a room to relax maybe try a larger room. ,Also no tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer etc but again not promised either. It's an old building so the lift access was also incredibly cramped but perfect adequate. Being 5th floor stairs weren't an option for us.

The location is fantastic — the balcony opens right onto the beautiful Plaça Reial, and most major attractions are within walking distance. Even the beach is just a 15-minute walk away, which was perfect. The staff was very kind and accommodating. After a long flight, we really appreciated being able to check in early — thank you again! The room itself is modest in size, but that’s quite typical in Europe, so it wasn’t a problem for us.

Just one thing to keep in mind for summer travelers: there is no fridge in the room, which would have been helpful for keeping drinks cold. We were aware of this at the time of booking, so it's not a complaint — just a note for future guests and a small suggestion for the hotel. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place!
