Had the best stay at Cuatro Naciones The room is a bit outdated but everything else is 10/10 Room was clean and spacious. Air conditioning was working perfectly and much needed for the hot temperatures of Barcelona The breakfast was good with plenty of variety The best part of our stay was the staff. The furnitures are a bit old but still pretty useful and well maintained. The bathroom door was not working properly but not a deal breaker for me Also the lighting in the room can use some upgrades Also some vegetables for breakfast would be much preferred

The property was very central. We were on La Rambla so it was very easy to walk to many tourist attractions and go to the beach. The room was tidied every day and the breakfast was good. There was a small fridge in the room so we could store our water. I thought it was excellent value for money. We had a balcony so could look down at the street.

This is not the hotel’s fault but there is a lot of building work on La Rambla and during the day, you could hear the street noise. It didn’t affect our sleep but the mattresses were a little uncomfortable. There were a few communication emails with the hotel prior to me going to the hotel. I felt the tone of the email was abrupt when I asked for advice on directions. I was told to “google map” it. However this could be because English is second language and not the intention of the writer.

Room was large with 2 comfortable beds. Shower nice and hot. Small double glazed door with small balcony looked out over last Ramblas street but was not too noisy. We were on the 2nd floor. Very very helpful to have an easy to use safe in the room. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, and eggs and bacon options. Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels given regularly. Excellent for a 2 star hotel.

No English speaking TV Chanel could be found. This was disappointing especially when the weather was so wet we had to return to the hotel to shelter.

The hotel is brilliantly located on La Rambla & close to all the nearby sites that you would wish to visit. All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful and a pleasure to do business with. Breakfast was well stocked and regularly replenished and overall this represented good value for money.

The single rooms really are very small but the fact that there is a free room safe and efficient air conditioning helps to compensate for this. The bathroom is tiny however and if you are tall it really is difficult to use without banging into things. Nevertheless it represents affordable accommodation in a great location in a fantastic city.

Really clean hotel with a very helpful and attentive staff. Nice breakfast, excellent location (easy to find). Interesting that some famous people including Einstein stayed there. We were two people and got a room that doesn’t see the street hence there was not much sunlight in the room but it wasn’t a problem. We asked for two separate beds and they gave us a room with an extra bed and double bed. The separate bed was not the comfiest bed I slept on but I wasn’t expecting much. Overall we had a great stay there and I would choose the same hotel if I come to Barcelona again.

The location was excellent as it’s on La Rambla. It was just a hundred yards from the beautiful Placa Reial with lots of restaurants to choose from to eat or have a drink. The room was really good with a lovely modern bathroom. And there were lots of choices of food for breakfast. Cold meats, cheeses, Eggs, Cereal, toast, bread ,croissants, fresh fruit and yogurts and lots of drink choices. And you could help yourself to as little or as much as you want.

Tea and coffee making facilities were the only thing that would have been nice in the room.

The location is right in the center of the city, on Las Ramblas, 1 block to subway. The rooms are super clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. Location was quiet.

Furnishings in the room are very simple and the bed wasn't very comfortable. Looked a bit like a university dorm room. Towels are a bit thin, but they worked just fine. Amenities (shampoo, soap) were basic. I would stay here again because the location and staff are wonderful. They could use a better mattress in the room I booked.

Amazing staff, our room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was quite nice too. The location is absolutely perfect, you can easily access just about any part of Barcelona! It is not the fanciest hotel, but you truly get your money's worth.

Our original showerhead worked very poorly and had very bad water pressure, but as soon as we asked the staff to fix it, they put on a new showerhead, so I must applaude their eagerness to help.

The location is perfect on La Rambla. Even though street construction is going on along La Rambla, it’s still so easy to get everywhere you want to go from the Hotel. The metro is very close & everything is walkable. There’s a great plaza around the corner with bars & restaurants & a convenience supermarket around the other corner. We enjoyed the salon/living room area in the evenings with the balconies overlooking all the action. There’s a 24-hour reception desk, and the staff were very friendly & professional. The included breakfast was good & had a very large variety of items available. There’s an elevator & the room had very good AC. Our room was very comfortable with a double bed & a twin. The bathroom was the only “interesting” thing we had to deal with (room 214), since you have to walk up some stairs to get to it & then the bathroom inside the room is then down a set of marble stairs. It’s a wonderful bathroom with shower, sink, toilet & bidet, but be very careful with those 3am potty visits! Our family was in 215 & that was a level room without the climb. Finding a taxi to the airport was easy, since they are always up & down La Rambla & you just wave at them to pull over at one of the crossovers. Taxi to the airport was approx €30. We highly recommend staying at this hotel & will definitely stay there when we return to BCN.

The stairs up & down to the bathroom in room 214 was awkward, but we understand old buildings have quirks :) Request a level room if that would be an issue.

This hotel was situated right in the center of all the tourist activity. We were able to walk to most places we visited during our stay. The breakfast was really good. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, and the "maid service" of this hotel was just as often and just as good as most cruise ships. Whenever we go back to Barcelona, we will be staying here again. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that right behind this hotel is a square/plaza that was full of AFFORDABLE eatery type restaurants. We ate our last meal of each day there EVERY night of our stay, and some lunches too. Also, we were just a 2minute walk from one of the tours we did, which was a Paella Cooking Class which I (the husband) was not initially very enthused about when my wife wanted to go, but it turned out to be a great and interesting experience with good food and the good company of others doing the same tour. I would recommend that (the one where you go to the market and shop for the items you cook at the beginning of the tour).
