The location was ideal for us. Easy to get to by train from the airport and also to the Madrid Open tennis that we went there for. Bus number 1 stops outside the hotel and goes into the centre. You can easily walk 25 minutes to get into the centre rather than taking the bus. The staff were absolutely delightful and very helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Room was very small but for us it was perfectly adequate for our needs. Bathroom was clean but the workmanship was poor. Grouting done badly and bath tap was set at a funny angle. Looked like a shoddy job. Didn't spoil our enjoyment of our stay but both my husband and I did remark on it.

The bed, the breakfast and the cleaning were exceptional

The hotel price might be slightly high for what it offers. The building is old, and it looks like they tried to revitalize it, but some parts should be refurbished. Additionally, I was delivering some lectures online and needed to use a meeting room. I decided to do it from my room because they wanted to charge me a price that was even higher than a single room day stay just for a meeting room with basic amenities (which were also charged separately).

The hotel is well located, right opposite Moncloa metro station, which is only 4/5 stops from the city centre. It is in a nice neighbourhood and is a pleasant walk to the centre (about 20 minutes through some nice streets/neighbourhoods). The hotel itself is well staffed and clean. The rooms are tidy and 'efficient'; the guest is wel provided for with an iron/ironing board, kettle (with tea and coffee provided), mini-bar and tv. The bathroom, although a little tight on space, is well stocked with the basics together with a few extras. My overall experience was definitely positive, although the hotel did seem a little impersonal/corporate. Then again, it is a big place with lots of rooms, so maybe I'm being unfair. The price wasn't cheap, even for February, but Madrid is a wonderful city, so it's probably probably just a supply and demand thing.

As I said above, I found it just a little bit corporate. Also, there is a (very) late night scene locally, so bring your earplugs.

Staff were great. Location is great, very close to the Moncloa interchange and an easy walk to the Museo de América. There is a metro stop right outside the hotel, so Sol (line 3), Plaza de España (line 3), Aeropuerto (line 6 & 8) are all easy to reach. Lots of local places to eat nearby too, plus McDonald's and Taco Bell if you really have to ;)

I can forgive the terrace and pool being closed because it's out of season, but some gym equipment was out of service and there was no adjustable bench for the free weights, just a bench to sit on that was also past it's best!

Ideal location very close to a metro, busy hotel but what you’d expect for a city hotel, room was clean my room was however on a street section that was very loud at night floor 5, that said you are in a city so it didn’t bother me but it’s worth being aware of. Staff were great on check in. Sadly didn’t use bar restaurant breakfast gym sauna or pool facilities, having. Rooftop pool r though was what sold this for me I just had no sun on my trip and they said it was closed when I checked in due to weather

Loved the big windows and the terrace. I don't know if every room had it though. The pool was small but even so it was very nice to be able to cool down in the pool from the Madrid heat in the middle of June.

I think they should give you towel tokens for the pool from the moment you check in. but they never mentioned it so we had to go down to reception to ask for them. The location is about 30 minutes away by public transport, from all he main parts of Madrid you'd like to visit.

The hotel is very beautiful, with nice location right to the metro station, and also not more than 10-15 min. walk from the city center. Our room was very clean, extremely well-equipped and comfortable. The terrace with the bar had amazing views of Madrid, and lots of space to chill around. The breakfast was delicious as well, with a little bit of something for everyone.

We were looking forward to swimming in the pool on the terrace on hot July days in Madrid, but the pool was too small, and also too dirty to actually get in. The staff in the hotel were also rather unfriendly. They wouldn’t even greet you when you enter the hotel, and when the breakfast finishes, they take your plate no matter if you’re done or not.

The connection with the city centre through metro, exactly in front of the hotel. The great variety and quality of the breakfast. The cleaning of the rooms. The every day welcome cold water with herbs and the fruits in the reception. The polite and very helpful staff.

The pool could have more extended hours (10:00-20:00 instead of 11:00-19:00) as summer in Madrid is full of day. Also it could have some extra space for the customer of the hotel who want to sit in the terrace. The pool was not working for 2 days (hopefully it this started from our leaving)

Very polite and attentive staff. The rooms are simple, but comfortable and clean. There are many useful amenities, including an iron and ironing board in the room, which is nice. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the metro exit. We were attending a festival that took place in the Ciudad Universitaria, so this location was important for us. The air conditioner worked properly, the room temperature was comfortable, and the bed was comfortable.

The equipment in the room and the fixtures may have seen better days, but everything is functioning properly.

Nice hotel close enough to Madrid downtown. The metro strip is right outside of the hotel. The staff is friendly. It was very clean! I really like it overall.

I stayed a couple of nights over the weekend. My room was on the 9th floor facing a patio, and I could still hear people partying in the street almost all night. It wasn’t too loud — using earbuds solved it — but it would be great if the hotel could invest in better window insulation.
