Exceptional golf courses, breathtaking sunsets at the pool on the 11th floor

Except for 2/3 members of the staff the rest of the employees had no idea how to treat guests. The buffet restaurant is desperately in need of more waitresses, the ones who are serving guests, even though could be in a lot of stress, must learn not to disrespect the clients by answering them in a very impolite way, it’s a 5 stars hotel and the staff must be trained and not just put there. Same comment for the guys who manage to buggies…in the SPA the employees must learn not to yell at each other in front of the clients, unacceptable! Sometimes a smile has more power than thousand words and seriously, before let anyone start working here, have this person trained for at least 2 weeks.

Gorgeous breakfast and especially (!) dinner. Great facilities and lots of cozy places and corners where one can just hide and chill. Lots of layers of pools and pool areas. Great views. Get an EV car if you're staying here (the 3-floor underground parking lot has a ton of chargers). Didn't play golf, but next time definitely will (I think there were even courses for the beginners).

The resort is pretty big so can get lost sometimes. If you're staying at the very top, then be ready to take 3-4 different elevators to get to the base floor. Walking at higher floors can be pretty chilly if it's windy (can be good at summer time, but can be chilly at night in November when we visited).

We been to the property three time now and it never disappoints. It is really good to see that since last time we went they have done and continued great maintenance of the hotel. Food is impeccable, staff absolutely amazing and cleanliness of the hotel top spot. The views from this hotel are just amazing, pools are well maintained and at good temperatures.

Unfortunately due to covid, the number of staff working at the hotel have decreased meaning that you might need to wait a bit longer to be served. Also, one of the bars is closed that really seems to be a waste but again related to staff shortages I’m going to guess. Even with this small problems, it is still the best hotel ever.

Despite the hotel being large there was always plenty of places to find a quiet spot wherever you wanted. The layout and design was exceptional with brilliant pools dotted around the place and cleverly done so there were never many people whichever one you chose to go to. The spa pool and area was incredible - the warm salt water was beyond fantastic and the jets and water spouts truly invigorating. The Sens Restaurant also had beautiful places to sit - all different and never a problem to find a gorgeous table. Our room on 11th floor was lovely although we would have liked more sun on the terrace but we were moved and gained that bonus. The Salobre is in a beautiful scenic location with stunning views and quite a unique hotel with an unusually chilled and relaxed vibe for a 5 star hotel - every guest we spoke with were also blown away. The final plus was everyone who worked there - so incredibly helpful, happy and nothing was too much trouble. From the welcome to the farewell - faultless.

The only thing we found was a shame is that despite being on HB we would have to pay an additional $50 to go to one of the other restaurants which we would have loved to have experienced and given that we had already paid for our dinner (and eat very little) this seemed a very heavy supplement to pay on top.

As always the staff were superb, so friendly and the hotel is immaculately clean. The A La Carte offered great variations and the food just divine.

Being very picky and comparing to other A* hotels they could provide a bluetooth speaker\docking station in rooms as would be a nice touch.

The facilities are great - so much land and space and so beautiful. The views are amazing - every day we woke up to sunshine and a beautiful landscape! The pools are wonderful and my children really enjoyed the family pool. The service was wonderful - on top of things.

The food ! Not as great as it should be. Why not have tons of fresh fish? We are on an island! The pool restaurant had a fish I wanted to order for lunch and when I asked if it was fresh, I was told it had been frozen. Why frozen? Makes no sense.

We selected Salobre due to closeness to 27 hole golf course. Proshop is on the ground floor of the hotel and golf cart you get in front of the hotel. We liked swimming in the heated pool and fantastic breakfasts and dinners. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly.

staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly. The golf courses were great, a little challenging but really fun. The sunset pool was stunning, very calm and quiet. bedroom was a great size and beds really comfortable. The breakfast & dinner options were fantastic, lots of choice! perfect for a very quiet and relaxing week away. we loved it so much we have booked to come back next year :)

there was construction underway directly opposite the hotel which started around 8am. This was a bit disruptive as we didn’t make the most of the balcony. Also it was right by the spa, so we didn’t end up getting to make use of that during our stay. We opted to try the sidecar restaurant for the tasting menu one evening, was not worth the price. The food in the main restaurant (buffet style) was better than the tasting menu.

Absolutely excellent stay, which exceeded our expectations. The facilities were brilliant and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We will definitely be returning and would thoroughly recommend it to others.

We absolutely loved our stay in Salobre. The staff was really helpfull & friendly, the food was delicious with every day something different and you always had a spot at the pool. Salobre is definitely in our top 3 of hotel i've been already and would come back when visiting Gran Canaria again.
