The resort is beautiful, with wonderful plants and trees everywhere. The location is great, 5 minutes walk from the Meloneras beach and 15 minutes away from the dunes and town. The place is the cleanest ever. The staff is very well trained. The quality of the entertainment is extremely high, both day time classes and evening shows. The buffet is pretty high quality and very diverse. Underground parking is really useful. We even were offered a courtesy room to take a shower as our flight was delayed. The Spa is incredible albeit a bit expensive. Loads of activities for kids on offer. We were looking for a quiet vacation and this hotel clearly is not a party place.

This was an expensive stay so one can be demanding. There were some details that could improve overall comfort. For instance, the fridge is right by the bed and a bit loud. Luckily, you can turn it off if it bothers you. The electric box in the hallway hums a bit, although it isn't too disturbing. The design of the buildings, with long open hallways, means that the sound echoes and carries. I was woken up a few times by departing customers, cleaners or other noises. This could be avoided if there was a second door between the bathroom / wardrobe area and the bedroom / lounge area. Even a thick curtain could help. There are 6 pools but no free sauna / steam room.

The architecture and the gardens are stunning. The staff was very friendly, and we liked the atmosphere. The room was very spacious and the beds were excellent. Breakfast and dinner buffet were really good too

Parents who don't control their kids or don't understand we don't have to deal with their uneducated kids, but that's clearly not hotel's fault.

The room was large and comfortable. The pool area is very nice, there are plenty of sunbeds and the pools weren't crowded even in the middle of summer. The hotel itself is very pretty and fun organised to look like a small village.

Waiting in long lines to get seated for breakfast, when there are more than plenty empty tables in the restaurant. I understand that it's the "service" of 5 star hotels to be "guided" to where you will eat, but come on, I am quite capable of sitting down at an empty table, especially if the alternative is waiting outside to be seated. Also, breakfast menu was repetitive. Additionally, the sound insulation between the rooms and from the hallway is pretty bad. You could hear other guests talking in the other rooms and when someone was walking in the hallway.

Beautiful hotel in a good location with direct access to the promenade. A short walk to the centre of the resort with a wide array of shops, bars and restaurants or in the other direction to the smaller Meloneras beach and restaurants. The hotel grounds are well laid out with plenty of sunbeds and several pools. The pool bar serves excellent light snacks and lunches. A bonus was the activities during the day and the evening entertainment. The rooms are large, well appointed with huge beds and quality bed linens, Breakfast is excellent and we would recommend the smaller Casa Vieja location, as the main buffet can be quite busy. The Ovo a la carte restaurant was good value but the menu options were quite limited. However, you can make bookings to dine at the other Lopesan hotels in the resort. We dined at Akara in the Baobab resort which is small and feels exclusive, possibly a notch up from Ovo. Underground on site parking was convenient

There were no coffee or tea making facilities in the room, but a kettle was provided on request.

Everything was excellent. A lovely resort, well spread out, exceptionally clean, friendly helpful staff, good food, reasonably priced drinks. 5 pools all at different temperatures. Loved the Italian restaurant on-site OVO. Location fantastic, on the promenade within short walking distance to excellent restaurants, shops and beach. Bedrooms are large with big bathroom and a walk in-wardrobe. Bed was massive and extremely comfortable.

I cant think of anything negative to say about the hotel. Other reviews say the resort is very big but I felt this was a plus as it never felt overcrowded and you could always get sunbeds which were well spread out.

The breakfast was very good. Fantastisk staff at the hotel, everybody is helpful And the cleaning was perfect.

We had to to leave the towels at the sunbed very early in the morning, at 07.00 in the morning many sunbeds was taken already. The coffemaschin was out of order some days, that was not good.

overall a very enjoyable and would recommend. Good pool and facilities. Good breakfast. Good location. Staff were all pleasant.

only minor things: Some of the info from staff was incorrect e.g. told we had to wear trousers at the poolside bar for dinner but when we turned up everyone else was in shorts. The food at the poolside bar ,while well priced, wasnt great. Activities and breakfast needed to be pre-booked but that system didnt work smoothly. some were overprescribed and we couldn't fully participate when we turned up even though we had booked. Breakfast was in two locations and we were told both were identical offerings. but on the last day we went to the main location and it had a better offering like honeycomb and sparkling wine which we didnt have in the other location we had been using for most of our stay

The hotel ground and surrounding are amazing and very well kept, loads of sun beds and walking spaces. The staff is very nice and helpful.

The air conditioning in the room is set to be up to 22C minimum. This is not enough for a room during summer or hot season, it was uncomfortable during the night and quite hot. Lopesan you need to change that and allow to set at least up to 18C. The food in a la carte restaurant was good but the dinner buffet was not up to standard for a hotel of this category it needs to improve in quality for dinner. The breakfast was ok. Finally, there was no entertaining for teens, despite of being advertised. My son went to a scheduled football game a none was there and the place was booked for something else, quite disappointing for him.

This was a beautiful hotel and the facilities were lovely. I opted for the half board as there isn't an option for full board here. The gym was excellent with plenty of equipment and also they have another space to do indoor activities for yoga, pilates etc which was great. A few things that could have been helpful to know when booking, half board is breakfast and dinner. Lunch there are restaurants to purchase food if you like. Also at dinner, drinks are a separate fee including water. Drinks are included with breakfast though. Outside the hotel, beach view, you can see beautiful sunsets and also a short drive to the dunes or walking is roughly an hour each way. One pool is not accessible unless you have a different payment plan (none was advised at checking in which would have been nice to have known about options). The staff were mostly attentive and friendly. Super thank you to Oscar for helping with vegetarian/vegan food. If you are vegetarian/vegan you can let them know before dinner and they can prepare a meal from the menu Vs the buffet. Mostly many vegetarian/ vegan options at dinner. Overall the place I found stunning and the bedroom was lovely. View said garden/pool yet was more car park and sea in the distance as seems to be some development going on.

We did half board . The food was impressive; delicious with lots of options. Everyone was catered for. Lots of sun loungers Rooms were great. Really good nightly entertainment, the circus show was impressive. Lovely drinks and bar staff

I would expect drinking water to be available, either via a fountain or complimentary at a 5 star hotel. Especially during meals when half board. It was disappointing that you couldn’t even fill up a bottle of drinking water anywhere on the property. Otherwise that is literally the only thing!
