Absolutely beautiful hotel. Spotlessly clean, beautiful pools and grounds, standard rooms exceeded expectations. Great variety and selection at breakfast. Tasty and inexpensive snacks at the poolside bar. Great location on the sea front with direct access to the paseo for a short walk to Mapalomas lighthouse and all the beach front shops and restaurants. Plenty of sun beds, never crowded, wonderfully relaxing and chilled out atmosphere. Would happily return.

We stayed in July and the evening shows finished too early (10:00 or 10:30) after which the central square emptied out. It would have been nice to have a slightly livelier feel in the evening till a bit later. It was difficult to get the attention of the staff taking drinks orders at the tables in the main square in the evenings during the shows. It would have been better to have 1 or two more staff to take orders. The 50 euro per person charge for the evening buffet (which reduced to 30 euros if you bought in advance for minimum 3 evenings) did not include water or any drinks.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are very comfortable, with a lot of room. Specially the walk-in closet is very convenient, as it has a lot of space. My room has a side sea view which was perfect. It was also very quiet in the room, which was very nice. The swimming pools are great, with lots of sunbeds. The staff is very friendly and very service focused. All in all a place to come back to

Not really something to improve, but good to know it is a bit of a walk to the restaurants and shops outside the hotel. And in the hotel it takes some time before you will find your way, maybe an idea to add some signs and directions

Fantastic property with distinct vibes vs other resorts in the area. Lots of pools and activities on the property itself while the location is right on the boardwalk to access local area restaurants and shops. The room was spacious and modern. En suite bathrooms were some of the largest I’ve seen in Europe in a standard room. Every staff member was friendly and deserve credit for making the stay as comfortable as possible. Parking was free and underground helping the car stay cool. There was also entertainment every night next to the bar.

Gym didn’t have air conditioning. There isn’t a pool directly facing the ocean like others in the area I.e. the deck chairs do not face the sea. No fridge in the room - only the stocked mini bar.

The resort is beautiful, with wonderful plants and trees everywhere. The location is great, 5 minutes walk from the Meloneras beach and 15 minutes away from the dunes and town. The place is the cleanest ever. The staff is very well trained. The quality of the entertainment is extremely high, both day time classes and evening shows. The buffet is pretty high quality and very diverse. Underground parking is really useful. We even were offered a courtesy room to take a shower as our flight was delayed. The Spa is incredible albeit a bit expensive. Loads of activities for kids on offer. We were looking for a quiet vacation and this hotel clearly is not a party place.

This was an expensive stay so one can be demanding. There were some details that could improve overall comfort. For instance, the fridge is right by the bed and a bit loud. Luckily, you can turn it off if it bothers you. The electric box in the hallway hums a bit, although it isn't too disturbing. The design of the buildings, with long open hallways, means that the sound echoes and carries. I was woken up a few times by departing customers, cleaners or other noises. This could be avoided if there was a second door between the bathroom / wardrobe area and the bedroom / lounge area. Even a thick curtain could help. There are 6 pools but no free sauna / steam room.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. They have free parking available, although if you have a bigger car, do not go to the garage but use the parking lot next to the hotel. Our room (regular double room) was huge with a walking closet and big bathroom. I am vegan and my friend is gluten free and we had plenty of buffet options. The staff was happy to accommodate our requests and even brought my friend gluten free pancakes and bread every morning.

No vegan desserts, although the staff can prepare something for you if you ask. No power outlets by the beds.

good facilities, parking , swimming pools , spa , restaurants, night entertainment the neighbourhood is really nice, you can have a nice walk on the promenade and plenty of restaurnats/bars are nearby

- no complementary drinking water in rooms except for the first day, which made no sense at all - no beach access, the hotel lies on a hill so the beach is way low - waiters always rush to get the payment for drinks , even when you are still dinning, when I asked they said these were the rules, get paid as fast as you can !

The architecture and the gardens are stunning. The staff was very friendly, and we liked the atmosphere. The room was very spacious and the beds were excellent. Breakfast and dinner buffet were really good too

Parents who don't control their kids or don't understand we don't have to deal with their uneducated kids, but that's clearly not hotel's fault.

Beautiful hotel in a good location with direct access to the promenade. A short walk to the centre of the resort with a wide array of shops, bars and restaurants or in the other direction to the smaller Meloneras beach and restaurants. The hotel grounds are well laid out with plenty of sunbeds and several pools. The pool bar serves excellent light snacks and lunches. A bonus was the activities during the day and the evening entertainment. The rooms are large, well appointed with huge beds and quality bed linens, Breakfast is excellent and we would recommend the smaller Casa Vieja location, as the main buffet can be quite busy. The Ovo a la carte restaurant was good value but the menu options were quite limited. However, you can make bookings to dine at the other Lopesan hotels in the resort. We dined at Akara in the Baobab resort which is small and feels exclusive, possibly a notch up from Ovo. Underground on site parking was convenient

There were no coffee or tea making facilities in the room, but a kettle was provided on request.

The room was large and comfortable. The pool area is very nice, there are plenty of sunbeds and the pools weren't crowded even in the middle of summer. The hotel itself is very pretty and fun organised to look like a small village.

Waiting in long lines to get seated for breakfast, when there are more than plenty empty tables in the restaurant. I understand that it's the "service" of 5 star hotels to be "guided" to where you will eat, but come on, I am quite capable of sitting down at an empty table, especially if the alternative is waiting outside to be seated. Also, breakfast menu was repetitive. Additionally, the sound insulation between the rooms and from the hallway is pretty bad. You could hear other guests talking in the other rooms and when someone was walking in the hallway.

Everything was excellent. A lovely resort, well spread out, exceptionally clean, friendly helpful staff, good food, reasonably priced drinks. 5 pools all at different temperatures. Loved the Italian restaurant on-site OVO. Location fantastic, on the promenade within short walking distance to excellent restaurants, shops and beach. Bedrooms are large with big bathroom and a walk in-wardrobe. Bed was massive and extremely comfortable.

I cant think of anything negative to say about the hotel. Other reviews say the resort is very big but I felt this was a plus as it never felt overcrowded and you could always get sunbeds which were well spread out.
