The pool was amazing, but did have occasional scum on the top that could be scooped out more often. The room/apartment (sea view) was out of this world. The beds could have been a bit comfier. The cleaners did a fantastic job, daily (sometimes twice daily) cleans/towel changes. The location was 10/10, right on the beach and near lots of restaurants, bars and a supermarket. Breakfast was great, a large selection. The animation team were good fun. The slide was also good fun, really steep and fast. There are airers in every room/apartment. There is also a hairdryer, not the most powerful but ok.

Scum on the top of the pool, hard beds, you need cash to pay deposits for pool towels etc (cost us an additional €5 charges at the ATM across the road), some of the staff weren't overly friendly, but not many people speak English in Roquetas (we do speak a lot of Spanish but not 100%), so there may have been a slight language barrier. No mirror in the main bedroom.

I was in Roquetas to see Marc Anthony from UK, with my mum and our friend who live in Spain. We decided to book this hotel due to the proximity to the stadium. Ana on reception greeted us with a big friendly smile and checked us in very efficiently. Ana was able to provide us with all the information we needed about the hotel in English which was an added bonus and very helpful. All the staff we spoke with during our stay were great. The location of this hotel is excellent, right in front of a beautiful beach surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants. Despite this being an older hotel it's very well maintained and spotlessly clean throughout. The air con in the room was brilliant, much needed in the 40+ degree heat. The choice of food in the main buffet is excellent and everyone found something they liked. The food was replenished regularly, cooked well and tasty. Modern bathroom in the room with walk in shower, very hot and powerful. Lots of plug sockets and wardrobe space . Lovely soft cotton sheets and towels. Lots of sunbed's around the pool, no problem getting a nice spot. Lovely modern pool bar, not too expensive.

There wasn't anything i didn't like, the furniture in the rooms is a little older but like I mentioned before, very well maintained and spotlessly clean. I believe some of the larger rooms have been recently refurbished. There could have been a few extra bits in the kitchenette for instance a wine bottle opener and a few wine glasses.

Location. It is perfect for families. The room was spacious, the decor getting old but an exceptionally clean resort. The staff are wonderful

If you like noise, this is your place. We weren’t prepared for the noise level- the atrium area, the live loud music on the pool terrace and the late night show beside the pool. Forewarned we would have asked for a room on the other side of the building. High season.

Great location, direct access to beach at rear & front faces a Spar supermarket. I like that there are kitchen facilities included in the rooms, apart from there is nothing to wash up with apart from bath gel!. Please be advised sofa bed is a single bed not a double as I thought. Friendly staff. Free street parking.

Great that there is an indoor heated pool, but a little warmer & with towels provided there & a hot shower would be even better! Noisy at night because of the central atrium design but music stopped at 11pm so not too bad.

Very nice, cosy hotel with a lovely team (including the all-time-active animation team). We had a fantastic pool and seaview room, so it was a special experience to wake up every morning with it. Half-board service is proper with a significant variety including international and spanish cuisine as well. Shop in front of the hotel and many other services in walking distance. Great fun with teenagers :) Thanks for the team :)

Although it is well-organised, restaurant is sometimes too crowded in the main dining periods.

Location is really good - right on the beach and lots of restaurants and shops 👌 Hotel was pretty full but hitel accommodated very well. We have stayed in every hotel in roquetas now the Serena was the last one!!

Enjoyed our stay but not very much food choice for dinner in comparison to the other hotels in the area. Breakfast selection is acceptable. 3/4 types of eggs there is bacon / cereals etc so you will always find something 😉

The hotel was very nice, we also enjoyed the apartment we got, great few of the pool area and sea view, the hotel staff were very helpful, and cleaners did an excellent job, we upgraded to the buffet breakfast and evening meal, which was great choice and very tasty, my husband and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, and also his 75th birthday, we definitely made a good choice staying in the Bahia Serena Hotel, Thank you

Location was great, the facilities are great too and the Animation was superb, our daughter just wants it to be all day at the Mini club 100% recommended! And the Adults entertainment was great too

When the first the gave us the apartment the floor wasn’t clean so I need it to go back to reception and ask again to be clean , them was fine.

Large pool and child's pool. Very clean but needs some tiling done. Lifeguard in attendance. Location excellent. Our room overlooked pool and beach. Food was plentiful and varied. The apartment was of excellent size with a small kitchen/dining and lounge area: bedroom and shower room. Nicely furnished and double access to large balcony. Great promenade for walking, cycling etc. Flat and good for wheelchairs.

Disappointed the entertainment was not up to much. OK if you are into taped music and old time dancing, although the compere did a reasonable job of singing on a couple of nights. Entertainment started at 10pm and was over by 11:30pm. Apart from restaurants, not a lot going on outside of the hotel at night. Definite lack of bars.

Beautiful sea view from the balcony. Large room size, 2 bedrooms and a living room with kitchen. Very long nice sea promenade with cafes. Wide beach with palm trees.

Outdated room design, especially the kitchen area. Breakfast food was always the same. At dinners the food was of good quality, but not very tasty in my opinion. Dirty dishes, there were traces of grease and sometimes leftover food on the plates. Very loud music in the hotel lobby until 23.30, you can hear it loud even in the room. The sea was stormy and cold there, and we had to go swimming in Aguadulce.
