1. For the price that they offer, the room size is bigger than most hotels in Tokyo. I can easily put two of my luggages without obstruction. 2. It’s located right beside the Ryogoku Station, gate A1 and this station has escalators. 3. The hotel is a bit old in terms of the look BUT they are very well maintained. 4. My room 2428 view was the Tokyo Sky Tree. 5. The staffs were very helpful. 6. You can keep your luggage at the hotel if you are early for check in or check out. 7. There’s 7eleven just opposite the back entrance of the hotel.

1. Location wise, Ryogoku is a bit far from the most common places that you will visit while in Tokyo, therefore you will spend a bit more on train expenses, but that’s fine, the station is just beside the hotel so you will do less walking.

The room was awesome, I had the Skytree viewing room. So the view was superb and super spacious. Probably some of the best hotel in terms of the amount of space with the amount of money i paid for.

The location was not very near from Ryogoku JR Station, you need to walk some distance before you could reach the Hotel. And the pathway to the hotel was quite rough, so it might be a bit taxing to drag your luggage to the hotel. And there is not laundry location inside the hotel, however the staff has shown a laundry service shop that's near the hotel.

Everything was so amazing! The staff, room, cleaning crew, and hotel were all exceptional. The hotel being connected to Ryōgoku Station & a 7-Eleven was extremely convenient, too. The park next door is also gorgeous. We also really loved the view of Skytree & that they offered a free Disney shuttle. We just loved everything!! While it was a little tight for my husband and I and 3 suitcases, it was still very cozy and we were able to get around the room just fine. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, our visit was absolutely perfect! We will be back to visit Tokyo, and will definitely choose this hotel for all future trips. Some traveller tips: ~You can do laundry around the corner at CoreWash Sumida. The machines are all-in-one, affordable, & take coins (we only spent ¥1500 on a huge suitcase full of clothes). ~I can only speak for US travelers, but just use the ATM at the 7-Eleven on site to get cash. ~Be sure to explore the neighborhood! Keiyo Road has lots of great shops (stop by the sumo gift shop across the street from Daiso!), same with the road that runs along the JR Line near the hotel going towards Sumida River.

The location was great for our visit as we were attending a few days of the May Sumo Tournament. The staff were lovely, most spoke great English, but those that didn't were fantastic with trying to get the message across in Japanese or with the use of Google translate. Hotel was very clean and room got cleaned regularly. Had the Earthquake Temple next to the hotel which also has a playground and beautiful paths to walk if you need something for the kids or to be grounded in nature within the city.

The laundry prices are quite high, but there are several coin operated laundries in the area maybe only a block or two away.

Though it is not located in those main well known areas like Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, it is near a JR station whereby you can connect to the main Yamanote line that takes you to all the main tourist locations. As we bought JR passes so we don’t have to pay extra to take metro lines. Out of the 5 days in Tokyo, 2 days were spent at Disneyland / DisneySea. This hotel provides free shuttle bus to / fro these parks so we don’t have to navigate through the train / subway during peak hours. There is a 7-eleven right next to the hotel making it convenient for us to grab food, snack and drinks anytime we need.

We stayed in a 3 pax room. The beds are bigger than the usual single bed which left very little room for us to lay our our luggage.

Staff went far and beyond to help you. All staff was very friendly. Cleaning staff also very friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Quite enough space to move around.

Nothing. But if I must name something it is laundry service. The staff told me there is a laundry self service 2 minutes from the hotel. I would recommend that one. 50 minutes is all it took. My clothes were washed and dried in 50 minutes. And it is open 24/7. So not really a con, but it requires you to walk out with your laundry bag. I was happy I was done with my laundry that quick.

The Dia-ichi Hotel Ryogoku was a very affordable hotel for our 13-night stay in Tokyo. It's within walking distance to several attractions including the Sensoju Temple, Sky Tree, the Edo Museum, and shopping areas. The staff are friendly and very helpful with answering questions about the area. The room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel while visiting Tokyo, Japan.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. We don't have any complaints or dislikes about our stay.

Staff was kind and helpful. Room was comfortable, with 3 very spacious beds, a beautiful view of the city and spotless clean. There were plenty of japanese sockets, that let us charge many devices at the same time and the area was quiet both during day and night. There was a convenience store and a post office in the same building, while metro station was just next to it. However, it's worth to mention that it wasn't possible to use JR pass there. If you want to use the JR pass, you must walk few hundred meters, till the back of the building where a JR Station is placed. From there, it's possible to reach Akihabara in only 2 stops! Skytree tower is 30 min far on foot from the hotel and Edo museum is just next to it. A free shuttle to and from Disneyland is also available everyday.

We would have appreciated some complimentary bottle of water in the room and some coffee. Also, it was disappointing not to find any automatic laundry service available. We stayed a week and with 2 kids we would have really needed it.

Strategically located next to Tokyo Metro subway, easy access to Asakusa, Ueno, Roppongi, Ginza you name it! Also the front desk is 24hrs and you can post your baggages to the airport or your next hotel anytime of the day!

The room was so hot & stuffy, we were told that the temperature is standard and we can adjust the temp by controlling our aircond fan but the aircond itself was so hot. We couldn’t sleep or get ready without sweating and it was in winter…also the male staff(s) were unfriendly and unaccommodating.

I took the twin room and it was really spacious. The view is amazing. I'm not sure if all the rooms get the same view of the night of the sky tree beautiful at night even to wake up to it better comfortable and the stuff is nice. I booked the hotel in advance so I got a really good price in it and it was so worth it. The location is also amazing just under the hotel there is a food court and subway station nearby.
