We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 very small children), staying in a double room (two double beds). Small kitchen is great for doing up something quick for the kids and definately quite spacious compared to some of the other places we have stayed before in Japan. Location was close to the subways so very convenient and lots of convenient stores near by yo grab essentials. Supermarket was also 5 mins walk and very easy to get to. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and patient with us and our kids.

When booking, I felt a little deceived as I thought i had booked a family room due to the photos that were shown on the website but this room we had was adequate for our needs. If the children were any older (ie. Teenagers), it would definately be too small for 5. Room was advertised for 4 adults so for us, we could fit all three kids in one bed.

I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a quieter spot in Tokyo. Room was decent size compared to what I expected. The location near Ryogoku Station is incredibly convenient, making it easy to get around the city. There are plenty of convenience stores nearby as well. I also appreciated the free coffee and tea in the lobby, and the rooftop terrace was a great place to relax with great view of the sky tree! Staff was also excellent

  Liked · We loved the friendly helpful staff and the well equipped facilities. Free chilled water and coffee 24h was great. There was a washing machine for us to use free in our room and a very efficient drier downstairs. We found a wonderful tempura restairant (Ishibashi) only a 5 minute walk away. The food was great and it was run by an older man and his daughter, we sat at the bench to eat so could watch them prepare our meals. It was a really authentic experiemce. We also visited the Hokusai museum... a wonderful exoerience. The deliCATessen opposite the shrine near the museum was a friendly coffee stop. We would highly recommend the hotel and the area.

We got in late (after 7pm) but they left a welcome note for us with the code for the lock box with key. Very convenient! The room was also very comfortable with the double bed for me and my wife. My 18 year old daughter said her futon bed was also comfortable. The location was great. Really close to the Ryogoku Station and few buildings over from a Lawson Family Mart where you can pick up water and other treats! The free coffee and water in the lobby came in very handy, but don’t expect to fill your water bottles from it. We took advantage of the in room washer/dryer. The single machine didn’t work great as a dryer but the opportunity to have a washer in the room was helpful to keep our luggage small like we planned on. The rooms was also very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Lastly they were able to hold our luggage after we checked out so it gave us one last chance to explore the city before we left for our flight.

Perhaps I didn’t know how to use the washer/dryer correctly as a dryer but it would have been nice to use that in the room instead of going downstairs and paying for the dryer. It was very inexpensive to use the dryer (100yen coin) so it wasn’t a big deal. Besides that the rooms are very small but we expected that so learned to work with it.

Oh this place exceeded my expectations! Room appear small (slightly bigger than your standard Japan hotel room) but it provided so many amenities! In the room, there is a microwave, sink, fridge and in the bathroom, there's washing machine that dries too! But the one in the room only has 80% drying ability so you will need to go to a dryer at the lobby and spend ~100 yen for 20 mins of drying. Location is superb for us - less than 5 mins walk from the Ryogoku station (think it's the Toei line) and there's a Family Mart + 7E nearby! The lady who attended to us were also very nice and helpful! Great stay overall!

None, I really enjoyed the room!

The location near the metro was very convenient. We expected the room to be quite small for three people, but it was really not too bad. This was one of very few places where it was possible for a child older than 12 years old to share our room rather than being forced to have a separate room, which we were very happy about. The room really had every possible amenity available, from washer/dryer to iron and little kitchen. We would happily stay here again if we come to Tokyo another time - it is great value for money.

The aircon heater was a bit noisy - it made gentle gurgling sounds. We got used to it after a while.

Great location, easy station access. Lovely quiet suburb to wander, several convenience stores nearby. We were able to leave our bags early before check so that was handy. Room was quite spacious considering. We did have larger family suite, 2 toilets kitchen, washing machine. We loved the communal roof access and could admire city night lights peacefully from there. The lobby has complimentary coffee and tea, unfortunately when we went to use it on our last day the coffee machine water was empty, also the water dispenser was empty. Our room was clean and was great to have a decent sized dinner table too. We loved the foyer zen garden where you could also sit and relax.

The only negative I can think of is that our room bins were not emptied from the previous guests. We had our own rubbish that we had been waiting to dispose of so that was a little disappointing but no real issue.

Far and away the best value accommodation we had during our entire Japan trip. Reading other reviews before we booked, we weren't expecting large rooms, but if you need the space there are mini apartment-type suites available (the people we were travelling with got one). The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were exceptional, and the rooftop common area is a fantastic point of difference - we spent quite a bit of time up there, particularly in the evenings. The location is very quiet, though there are plenty of little restaurants within an easy walk. The Ryōgoku train Station is also very close. Weighing up price, location, and amenity, this will absolutely be our go-to accommodation next time we're in Tokyo. Worth noting that the beds are quite firm, if that's an important factor for you.

I liked the neighbourhood feel of the location and the friendly staff when I arrived a few hours before my room was available. She let me charge my phone and have a coffee. Great to have a microwave in the room also with a large supermarket only five minutes walk I ate in the room although good restaurants, bakeries and cafes are very close by. Location to subway is perfect too!

Nothing really. It’s more of a “Japan” thing from my experience but why no bedside reading lamp in most mid range hotels? Just a small complaint so maybe pack a portable reading lamp and you’ll be ok.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was the size we expected. We appreciated the kitchenette with a fridge and freezer. We were able to get food from a local supermarket. We also used the washer/dryer in the room, but needed to finish drying in the coin laundry. We were grateful we didn't have to tote our laundry offsite. The neighborhood was quiet, but not too far from the subway. The view from the rooftop at night was lovely. Definitely recommended! We would stay again.

The bed was a bit hard for our preference.
