The room didn't match the reservation description or picture, I was described as a junior suit, but it was just a regular room. When addressed with the front desk , I was told that booking.com false advertised ot and that will be addressed. The room was clean but ran down, and the furniture needed some upgrade. Very small TV, no blanket on the bed, sheets only ( had to ask for one) Safe in the room wasn't working, reported 3 times before someone came in to fix it. Many restaurants to choose from, but the food was just ok.

Overall, we enjoyed the 4-night stay, the staff was great and the buffet was the best! The themed parties are a fun option and we did have fun at the jungle party. The resort was clean and the grounds were well kept.

This was our first time at Riu Palace, we typically stay at another all-inclusive but decided to take advantage of Rius deal. Rooms could use some updating. Our fan was not working but they repaired it pretty quickly. They have a nice coffee shop but the hours are not in the early morning... you have to go to the sports bar to get coffee?! The restaurants have a very limited selection of food and the restaurant hours are short. They do not take reservations either so you will want to give it like an hour for a table. No bottled water at the pool, you have to go to the sports bar and they limit what you can get.

I loved the food and drinks, location, the staff at the buffet was exceptionally friendly made me feel welcomed. The staff at check in was smooth and helpful and knowledgeable to my many questions.

I was surprised that there wasn't ac in the hallway from my room to the elevator.

I think there is always room for improvment, but nothing specific comes to my mind now. We really enjoyed our time at Riu Peninsula! It is definetively a hotel I would like to come back.

Staff was always very nice and taking very well care of guests. The buffet was excellent with lots of different options. Rooms are nice and you never feel too crowded even if the hotel is big. Pools are really nice. We had a small problem with our shower and it was repaired in 15 minutes.

Speciality restaurants are at best average (Italian was bad). We had a suite and our spa was not working. Construction works at the nearby Riu Caribe from 7 to 7 are hard to deal with. it creates a constant noise.

Riu Palace Peninsula is an amazing place with an amazing staff. The beach is great, the amenities is very nice, the entire staff from bellboy to restaurant attendants are amazing. I love the fact that the hotel was immaculant despite hundreds people were staying at the hotel. The property is well kept. I need to give shout out to Andy and Melissa from front desk, very courteous, friendly and delivered an exceptional customer service. Noel, Ansa, Junior, Gael, from Isla Mujeres restaurant were amazing individuals. The chef at Isla Mujeres was awesome, great tasting of salmon, steak and lobster. I will definitely coming back to this hotel. I will try different Riu property in other country...next Riu Montego Bay...

The gym is not 24 hours gym,it closed at 8pm every single day.

It was an awesome week with my wife and three kids. The place is clean. There were always people with brooms and mops and dusting. We all thought the food was really good. Tons of choices for every taste and they always had some unusual things to try. The bars and drinks were all good. Pools were clean and there was always enough room and beach space.

I would like to have seen at least one warmer pool or hot tub. We were there in January and when clouds and rain come in, it does get a bit chilly. We still swam in the ocean and pools. A warm pool would have been icing on the cake.
