The food was amazing, the pool bar is a must! The room was as showed in the photos and the property in general is amazing, the beach was peaceful.

The restaurants in the property have an strict dress code, for us being in vacations in a 33° C weather is absurd, and we weren’t aware of this because they don’t tell you in your reservation.

Everything was good the food isn't that great but its ok for resort food! The best meal is the breakfast buffet I wish I hadn't waited until the last day to try it. If you want to eat dinner at the Japanese Teppanyaki you have to reserve it the day before

The beach is wack way to much seaweed and if you eat at the bar on the beach the mexican raccoons will jump all on the table to get your food

The cleanliness of the property was amazing and the food for an all inclusive property was fantastic!! The staff were accommodating and always pleasant upon approach. The swim-out pool rooms were amazingly comfortable and kept clean and maintained every morning. Housekeeping staff were thoughtful when cleaning our room not to move our items too much. Property was well maintained, just a lovely vacation.

1. The beach was full of seaweed which wasn’t the properties fault. They did their best cleaning daily but it was an overwhelming amount of seaweed. If you’re a beach fanatic then you wouldn’t enjoy this beach area. The huts and beach chairs were comfortable though especially during sunset. I think the entertainment staff could use an overhaul and update their pool activities with more activities. The other issue was check-in, as they wouldn’t allow you to check-in before 3pm even if you wanted to pay. This was disappointing as we took an early flight arriving at 10:30am. They weren’t fully committed the previous evening so I couldn’t understand this process.

Everyone was very friendly from Staff to other vacationers. The rooms and facilities were very clean. The food was excellent and many options was nice. We had prompt room service. We really liked the Yucatán pool with the “party” vibe.

The only thing that was very upsetting was the seaweed on the beach. I know that in a natural event that happens, I feel that the seaweed could have been kept uunder control better to at least be able to enjoy the beach some. The smell was horrid which made it hard tho sit outside and enjoy the morning. The beach is the main reason we came to Mexico.

I loved all of the food, there were a handful of gluten-free options, and lots of vegetarian options. I highly recommend getting a reservation at the hibachi restaurant. It’s also definitely worth it to go to the rodeo grill. Most of the times at the buffet, you can get steak, chicken, fish, or pork made to order. It’s also definitely worth it to do the romantic dinner for two. It’ll set you back about US$280. The service is great, and you get a romantic rooftop dinner overlooking the ocean. Bring bug spray for tropical environments! The mosquitoes, biting gnats are real. The beach is much calmer in the evenings. In the mornings, it is rather rough. You will need to bring water shoes if you plan on going in the water. You can visit the other princess resorts along the coast. The entertainment is fantastic at any of the places. At the adults, only resort, entertainment happens later. I do recommend you bring a game or two to for times in between dinner and entertainment. There is a party pool across from the lobby. They also serve poolside tacos over there. The party pool is where a lot of the Spanish lessons, the cooking classes and dance lessons Take place. Be prepared to walk to the sports complex where they do things like archery. Nearly everything in the hotel is wheelchair accessible, including the rooms. I highly recommend getting a massage, or getting your nails done at the spa. Plan on soaking up sunshine in the calmer, relaxed area of the pool, the big pool that wraps around the hotel starting at the lobby. There is a swim up bar in the corner. There are lots of little shaded, cabanas and chairs available all along the pools that wrap the hotel. Along the pools that wrap, this is most definitely the calmer side. You can drink, eat, and relax. You get to vacation at your own pace. The snack bar at the ocean, is pretty nice. The food there does take a while, but it’s a good place if you start there in the afternoon. T

I didn’t like the lack of storage space in the rooms. You will be living out of your luggage. There’s a handful of spaces to hang items, but not to put items in a dresser drawer. You get roughly 4 pants hangers, and four dress hangers total. They do expect you to dress up for dinner, at any of the buffets and restaurants. They’re also is not a place where you could wash your own clothes should something happen. The laundry service is also rather expensive.

Perfect resort. Clean, relaxing QUIET!!! If you hate the typical party vibe at most all inclusive resorts, try this one! Great seperation of space but will easy, quick access to the pool/ foam parties happening right next door. Great, spacious pools, plenty of cabanas. Beautiful beachfront straight out of a tropical beach fantasy. Great swimming spot just a 5 minute walk away. Comfortable beds. Amazing staff. Great espresso in the mornings!

The food game could be upped, a little. The ala carte restaurants were simply a rehashing of the buffet food. Food was OK, but for the price per night, they could do things a little more gourmet. The hydro therapy tub is a little hazardous as there are submerged installations that's aren't visible when the jets are on. All the spa facilities (sauna, steam room and hydro tub) could be warmer.

I like that the property had different activities every night, staff was friendly, they had animals on the resort which was cool. Check in was really easy and check out was also. Cleaning service for the rooms was great.

I didn’t like the beach, it had lot of seaweed on the shoreline and there was alot of rocks when entering the water of the beach. Not really a party resort if you’re looking for that. The restaurants on the resort were good not great. Drinks could have been a little bit stronger or better tasting.

We recently enjoyed a stay at Princess Yucatan in Playa del Carmen and had a wonderful time overall. The room size was impressive, providing us with plenty of space to relax. The beautifully maintained territory and easy access to the beach were highlights of our trip. We also thoroughly enjoyed the performances, shows, and live bands throughout our stay, which added a vibrant atmosphere to the resort. A special shoutout to Israel from the staff, who made our experience even more memorable with his humor and friendly demeanor. He even made us laugh by remembering my surname, which was a delightful personal touch. The overall service from the staff was outstanding—everyone was incredibly friendly and polite. We did have a few minor critiques. While the food was decent, we felt it could have been better, as some meals didn’t quite meet our expectations. We also weren’t aware of the dress code for the restaurants and regretted not bringing trousers instead of just denim shorts. This is something future guests should keep in mind. On a lighter note, we loved the local wildlife, particularly the friendly lizards and the adorable Mexican raccoons! It added a unique charm to our stay. The rooms were a bit outdated, but they were comfortable and well-kept. We particularly appreciated being placed in a quiet block of the resort, which allowed us to relax peacefully. Overall, we had a nice time at Princess Yucatan and would recommend it for anyone looking for a friendly and enjoyable vacation in Playa del Carmen!

Zomg the pools everywhere are amazing, so clean and beautiful. The restaurants are fabulous, and the entertainment is pretty good. We didn't want to leave. But we would have gained a lot of weight if we stayed too long!

We organised a packed lunch for the day we went on a tour but the concierge forgot to book it, so we went with nothing. I complained to front desk but they refused to take any responsibility and just told me to go back to concierge. It's all part of the resort. This left a sour note unfortunately. No offer of anything as recompense

We return twice a year because we love the small and intimate grounds. Easy access to everything. The food is always wonderful, beautiful area but by far, it is the staff and their welcoming kindness that make us so excited to return time and again.

As with all hotels that see heavy use, it is challenging to keep up the wear and tear but they do really try to combat the aging of the facilities quite well.
