I had been here 20 months ago and for the price I thought it was excellent value so came again. I choose the cheapest unit and it is in need of upgrading but when that happens it will be more expensive. I have Coeliac Disease so must eat gluten free and I found a different tasty meal I could eat each night.There is a lot of choice in the evening meals. Breakfast buffet was also good for me with gluten free bread supplied and toasted for me in the kitchen. Beach is tidal as I expect all the Coral Coast is and snorkelling is good at high tide near the large rock with lots of fish. Guided walk out to the reef to see the new coral growth at low tide is excellent and free. I would definitely go again but take my own beach towels, my own snorkelling mask and a clothes line next time.

My room could do with an upgrade, painting and new taps. More beach towels needed. Clothesline needed around veranda.

Loved the location. The beachfront villa was very nice. Really liked the outdoor shower! Beds very comfortable. Great spot for snorkeling. Staff so lovely, breakfast included was very convenient. Good base for exploring the coast. Plenty of other food options outside the resort if wanted. Great surf break right infront

Would have liked a place to hang wet towels and togs to dry, instead of on the chairs in front of the room

Breakfasts were varied options to meet all tastes. The staff are magnificent.

We had a nice stay at the hideaway. It’s a bit tired but overall fun place. The Indian food is awesome. Front desk staff could be more friendly overthwise staff are awesome

The pool was amazing, featuring a water slide suitable for all ages, and the food was good. Breakfast was very good, as it was all included in the price. The staff are what make this resort what it is; they are so friendly and ensure your stay is perfect to the best of their ability.

Our air conditioner was leaking, and the staff tried to fix it, but we never heard back after the first attempt. There was also a limited range of drinks, which weren't what I would normally drink.

This was our second visit to Hideaway. This small resort has soul, unlike the big resorts. The beachfront villas are open and roomy, with views to die for. We love the pool, and the trip to the local village. The satff are genuine and very friendly, all quite authentic.

The food and entertainment are only ordinary, but somehow we don't mind because it's a nice place to be. They were better on our first stay. It's a long way from the airport, and I think it's $F125 per person in the minibus, but you can catch the local express coach to Suva from the airport for about $F12, it's air-conditioned, just ask them to drop you at Hideaway.

Free breakfasts were top notch. Full selection from continental to cooked breakfasts. Staff very friendly and helpful and went out out their way to give us a special meal and call out on our anniversary.. Nice layout with pool, bar and dining room flow. Quiz nights in the bar area were great fun. Views from beach front bures was spectacular! Sitting on the verandah gazing out to sea totally relaxed me. Next time we will drink more coconut water with the local Bounty rum.

Would have likes smaller meal options as meals were to big for us. Also we bought and ate many mangoes alone the road but breakfast only ever had the same three fruit (watermelon, paw paw and pineapple).

Good snorkeling spot

We book to rooms and literally they put us each of us in the oposite side of the other. Really annoying Food wasn’t great, the sushi place was the worst meal ever and more expensive

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Hideaway Resort. Our two rooms were next to each other, thanks to your amazing reception and reservations team for that. The reception team and the guys at the gate were always super helpful and friendly. The lovely laundry staff and housekeeping team were always accommodating our requests. The groundsmen were so kind, making sure that our kiwi children get to experience them climbing a coconut tree and sharing the coconuts with us on the beach. The restaurant and kitchen team were exceptional, both their friendly service and food quality. They always made time to have a quick chat with us and genuinely hospitable people. The bar staff looked after us really well, as we spent most of the time around the bar and pool area. We had a fabulous experience at the spa, as well as the kids. The activities team, Tash, Oni and especially Dan, thank you all heaps for engaging with guests and ensuring that our children have the best time. Such a great and safe place for families, especially kids. The place was just what we needed, not too crowded, nice and quiet, has that casual feeling to it, has everything you need on site and the whole team are amazing. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to our friends, mainly because of how your staff members treated us. They deserve to be looked after well, and we hope that they are. We loved everything!

Breakfast offered a good selection of food including made to order omlette or eggs. Pool wasn't busy which we loved and it also has a great view of the ocean.

We liked everything about Hideaway Resort. Potential guests need to understand it is a value for money property with staff with big welcoming hearts. This isn't 5 star but we loved the more authentic Fijian experience.
