Staff were wonderful! The facility was clean and comfortable. When phoning front desk for more coffee they were very quick and provided! The pool was out of service but we were able to use the amenities 2 hotels over which I thought they had a nicer pool area so it worked out 😊 also hotel is located right at the beginning of Banff ave so I found it quite and peaceful!

We woke up to no water in our room Saturday morning. They gave us another room to shower in and water was back on when we returned in evening time. Other than that it was fantastic!

My husband and I liked the complementary bicycle. It helped us explore Banff more easily. We also love the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The staff at the front desk very friendly every time. We love the fireplace in the loft room. The local transit bus stop is right outside, making it super easy to get to Maine downtown if you don’t want to walk. Really liked the coffee shop and restaurants that are very close to this property.

The design of the loft room is not very conducive to more than two people. It is also very hard to carry your bag up to the loft using the narrow spiral staircase. My husband and I managed, but it is something to consider if booking this room. It is definitely very dated as stated in the other reviews and so the price does seem steep for what you get. However, it is comfortable and located, walking distance outside the city center.

Price and size of room. Location. Simplicity. The tea coffee station in the main building was good and provided a change of room to sit in. Ice machine. Ski / snowboard storage room was great. Spa was bliss.

upgrade TV - Netflix etc capability Mostly quite but we had two sleepless nights with people partying next door. That's holidays but the noise carried to the point we just simple didn't sleep. No toaster microwave in loft room - we stayed for a month.

We celebrate our first wedding anniversary in November and this place will always be special to us... This is authentic, lot of unique and beautiful artwork with black and white mountain scenery and wildlife. We fell in love! We just went back in December with my mother (who traveled from France) to share this experience... fire place, wood all over the place, spa... It's definitely warm, charming, and tasty in a genuine old-fashioned way, which makes it a gem! The staff is very friendly too. This is our place now, and we can't wait to come back :)

The fan can be a bit loud sometimes

The parking was convenient and reasonably priced, with my partner and I having easy access to the staircase from our vehicle. The building itself was very beautiful, the reception area was well-maintained and decorated for Christmas which felt very inviting. We were upgraded to a loft room with a fireplace, both of which were wonderful additions for our single night stay (and my first time!) in Banff. The shower was very nice, and the soaps given in the room for showering smelled great (peppermint and sage).

The room was a bit chilly, but nothing out of the ordinary for Banff in November.

We had a pleasant stay at Charltons Banff. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable—perfect for relaxing after exploring the area. We appreciated the quiet atmosphere and convenient location.

However, the elevator wasn’t accessible during the night and morning, which made things a bit difficult with luggage and a stroller. This could be improved, especially for families or guests with mobility needs.

The King Loft suite was a good size for a week's stay. Fireplace is a nice touch. Bathroom is bright and clean. The bed is very soft, which I like, but others may find it too soft.

Room was a bit dark. Fireplace was not starting up initially; required a repair, which they did promptly. Pool at Charltons was broken, but we were given access to the pool at Royal Canadian Lodge a block or so down the road.

We stayed in the two bedroom with kitchenette room. One bedroom had a queen bed, the other bedroom had two single beds. The kitchen had good facilities for what we needed. The location of the hotel was great, within easy walking distance of downtown Banff with flat wide footpaths leading into town. The swimming pool was easy to access although smelt very high with chlorine. Ice machine available for free ice. The hotel doesn't serve any food but they have a sister hotel just down the road which offers deals for Charlton's guests. Parking was available onsite.

This was a great location! It was easy to walk to all the popular areas in town! Great value and a nice property! We appreciated dog friendly room as well!

The pool was closed for repairs but they had neighbouring properties that we could use their pool services! The rooms were too hot for sleeping and it was hard to cool the room down to a comfortable temperature for our sleeping needs.
