We chose this hotel based on the reviews and the price point. It was outside the main area of Vancouver harbour but we liked the location. The room was a good size, very clean and comfortable. We were on the fifth floor facing the back of the building and far away from the lifts. The bathroom was a good size and well stocked with toiletries. Our room was very spacious and had good facilities; tea/coffee, a fridge, tv, hairdryer, bathroom toiletries etc. All were good. The hotel was very clean overall and the breakfast was great. A good variety of tea/coffe, toast, pastries, voghurt and cooked food. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. We parked in the car park and didn't use our car again til we left as the metro was across the road, opposite the hotel. Central Park is a five minute walk away and it was lovely to walk around there and go for a run. There's plenty of food outlets to eat at and a starbucks next door. We dined at Earls restaurant which was a few minutes walk away, that was a great find.

The size of the breakfast seating area was quite small for the size of the hotel, although you could 'grab and go' sometimes if was difficult to find a table to sit at.

The staff are well-trained and courteous. The location was perfect since it's right next to the Metrotown Mall and across the train station. Downstairs,there's Neptune Restaurant, Boston Plaza pizza parlour, Dollarama, Best Buy and Rexall drugstore, all within the same building. The breakfast was great. Gym is small but I start my workout early, so, no problem at all. No complaints here.

Consider installing toilet bidets. They're part of good hygiene and they save excessive use of toilet paper. Environmentally, they make sense.

They have such a nice team, starting with the crew in the morning on breakfast, a wonderful, inclusive team making every morning a goodhearted start. And also the room service was really appreciative, very kind and supportive. Room was always nicely made. Really positively surprised by Holiday Inn Express here. And the reception team was always helpful and in a great positive mood, it was a pleasure being recognized personally after two days already. I also liked the pool for refreshing after a bit of sports.

Only thing I found they could improve by removing the disposable cups, plates and cutlery, some simple robust porcelain and glass would enhance the experience enormously and be more sustainable. I know that needs changes in infrastructure but it would feel much better. Perhaps a rather European view?

This hotel did what many more expensive hotels don't. The hotel was spotless, smelled really nice wherever I went, and the staff were truly welcoming and showed real interest. The bed was cozy. The silks were silky and comfortable, there was lots of room to put bags, and everything was very well organized. They even had white noise machine and earplugs, which I usually use at home. They've pretty much thought of everything to make it a really good, effortless experience. Will definitely be staying here again.

Towels were a bit hard and scratchy. If they could be soft and cozy like the bedsheets, it would feel like a spa. :)

From the airport it is easy to get to the hotel using the skytrain. Take the train from the airport to waterfront and then get on the Expo line and it will take you right to the hotel at Metrotown. The hotel is right across the street from the skytrain stop. The hotel uses secure access only so safety is priority. A view of the mountains near by. Lots of shopping right around the hotel. This was my first time staying at Metrotown. I would do it again. I cannot comment on the internet or the breakfast available as I didn't use them. There is an exercise room too! Highly recommend.

Fantastic location, SkyTrain and bus right across the street, and Metropolis mall connected to the hotel. Tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. Room was spacious, clean, and well-stocked. Staff were super friendly and helpful, communication was fast and easy. Breakfast has so many options, and I loved that they had different fresh fruits each day

Minor issue was SkyTrain noise, but it stops after 11:30 pm.

I was surprised with the breakfast they have, they have healthy alternatives for breakfast which I don’t usually find that with Holiday Inn but this one they have available baked beans, few veggies, better option of Greek yogurt. I also love the location within the Metrotown, it’s walking distance to all places you need to go in a trip like, grocery run, mall is across the bridge, coffee run to Starbucks, metro train is across to it, restaurants are every where. You don’t need to drive to go to those places, there are little parks around it, the Burnaby library is around the corner.

The room is clean but I hope it was more spacious. But it was good enough to just sleep over if that’s what you’re after at.

Breakfast was very varied and good. Breakfast and front desk workers were nice and helpful. I appreciated that many of the breakfast workers were special needs and you provided jobs for them. Nice it was near a mall and restaurants.

Difficult to have Uber do pick up and drop off since the driveway is blocked off and it is on a busy street. It was a little further out of downtown than I hoped which added to driving time when doing tourist things. Pool was smaller than pictures made it seem.

Location, attached to the mall and also walking distance to restaurants and other amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was ample space in the room to work remotely.

My first room was really close to the sky train tracks and quite noisy, I did switch rooms to the other side of the building and it was much better. Bathroom shower drain wasn’t draining properly Hotel breakfast was not very good, the oatmeal was definitely the worst I’ve had.

Friendly and helpful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. In particular Jenny who went out of her way to help sort out our printing technical issue. very quiet room (exactly what we asked for) and very comfortable beds. loved the choice of pillows on offer in the room. loved the microwave in the room too. conveniently located next to a big Mall as well as the train snd bus station out the front. very close to cafes and restaurants too. Housekeeping staff swiftly brought us extra blankets when we needed it.

we were charged $50 to check in 2 hrs earlier while the room was ready to go. also totally didn’t like eating out of disposable paper plates and drink in paper cups both jn our room as well as breakfast. also if the paper plates were to help the environment then it missed the mark as people were not sorting things properly when they finished.
