I follow Fernie Alpine Resort on Instagram,, and I really appreciate all of the posts that give more information about the resort. I have a huge amount of respect for the staff at Fernie, in particular, the ski patrol. I know and feel that the public are in really safe hands with how amazing the patrol team does at avalanche control and shutting down lifts and access to sections of the mountain that are potentially unstable. Great work!

I only took the Deer chair once and it was super slow. It seems like a main chair so it would be nice to see a bit of an upgrade, but that's just my personal preference. I don't like chairlifts that feel old and very well used, as I'm a bit of nervous rider given not being a fan of heights....I know right? I'm a skier, this shouldn't be an issue for me.

We loved that, despite having a dog with us, our room was exceptional. No downgrade noticed (no plastic chairs for example). We loved the cushie dog bed, bowls and treats for our pup... and the people cookies were good too!

The weather outside was cold... but the hotel was cozy... so on the balance, I don't think this complaint counts.

Clean, well designed, pool and hot tub great. Nice decor and Christmas decorations. Room was great.

Confusion about breakfast on the 2nd day. No posting of times anywhere in hotel. Told by staff on check in was until 10AM all days. Discovered closed at 9AM. Numerous guests in same boat. Don’t think it was handled well. Chef advised closed even when plenty of food still available. Front desk said sorry but did and said nothing further. When returned from ski day - new sign posted. Disappointing.

Location was convenient. Close to everything from restaurants, downtown, recreation and trails. Good hot breakfast with lots of options and access to coffee, tea and filtered water in the lobby is a bonus. Also appreciated having guest laundry. Would stay here again.

The room was large and the bathroom very spacious, clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and tv a decent size; staff were welcoming and responsive.

The breakfast was something of a disappointment; the cooked items were cold and there was an absence of any fresh fruit or nutritious products. The room was very tired in style having changed little in 20 yrs I imagine.

I did like the location. Easy to get everywhere. Plenty of parking. The Boston Pizza bar and restaurant were a big plus to have right in the same building as the hotel. Didn't get to try the breakfast, but you could smell the bacon just about everywhere.

The hotel is not new and does show a little sign of aging. Pool was pretty small but seemed to be working well for children.

Breakfast was good we had all that we needed. But the closing time of 9am was a little early! by the time I had swam it was tight to get to the restuarant in time. I am travelling for pleasure so do not have the need to be up at the crack of dawn to make sure I have time to eat Breakfast.

Breakfast could run a bit later in the week days

The only thing I would suggest is more variety of fresh fruit at breakfast! On the first day I was there there were some lovely strawberries and grapes etc in a fruit salad and then it was gone for the next four breakfasts

Location the atmosphere was clean warm and welcoming The staff . All I can say is wow from the front desk staff and breakfast staff . So professional and respectful. The proximity to Boston Pizza made have dinner so convenient. I will return to Fernie and I will stay at the Best Western.

The toilets are too low.

The location was great. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was good but could have been hotter for my likes. The coffee was excellent. The coffee machine in the lobby was great. Wish all BW had that.

The cleaning of the room was ok but not great. Had no Kleenex for 2 days and a slice of pizza pepperoni was on the carpet for 2 days.
