It’s cleaner and more beautiful than I expected

The guy at the reception seemed busy while trying to help me check in in extent that I missed the elevator because he didn’t take time to explain to me everything calmly. He gave all the information fast and once then continues doing whatever he was up to. I went up to the end of the hallway searching for the elevator with my luggage then returned but he didn’t even look up to see what was going on. I didn’t like it. I was tired after driving for 6 hours to get there. He is man, he needs to be reminded about customer service. So far everything else was great.

I liked that there was a breakfast and that the rooms were clean and comfortable. It made our day that there was a couple of styles of yoghurt and fresh berries as well a basic selection of hot items.

I expected a bit more from a Wyndham associated hotel. The one thing that we found puzzling was the fact that there were no glasses at this hotel. No cups, drinking glasses or wine glasses. If you had a bottle of wine in your room, you had to drink it out of a paper cup or a coffee cup that you had to seek out. Then at breakfast, there were no metal spoons for the 3 mornings we were there, just cheep plastic ones. I was a bit surprised.

Breakfast was complementary and there was a wide variety of foods to choose from - cereals, yogurt, fruits, babels, breads of different varieties, waffles, hot cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages; juices, teas and coffee. There was also a selection of gluten free bread and cereals and alternative milks to cows milk. The eating area is bright and tables are far enough apart to not feel you are on top of each other. The kitchen and cleaning staff I encountered were all friendly and helpful. I needed a microwave in my room and the front desk staff arranged for one while I was out. I like that they are using bar soap rather than liquid soaps (that produce plastic waste) - I was there for 3 days and hardly used much of the small Dove bar so put it back in its box and brought it home to finish. The elevator operated quickly!

The room I had 401 was quite dark - darkly appointed and no central light to brighten the whole room up. However there was ample spot lighting to brighten the place. I just prefer natural daylight. THe Keurig coffee maker only had one setting which produced a weak cup of coffee, whereas I prefer to make an espresso and that was not an option.

Great breakfast including eggs, bacon/ham, hash browns, fresh fruit, toast and an assortment of cereals/yogurts, juices etc. The room and bathroom were very clean, good water pressure and overall a very clean comfortable stay. Elevators were quick and staff were efficient and courteous. Wonderful bed.

Door to room 303 catches -- had to pull before pushing it open. Bathroom door squeaks (needs oiling).

Overall I had a really good experience here. The location was excellent, close to the main highway and nearby many restaurants and a supermarket. The staff was nice and always willing to help. The rooms were appropiately warm and fresh. The soundproofing was excellent, a couple of time there were events held in the ground floor but absolutely no sound or nuisance in the rooms!

The breakfast was really lacking in variety, offering the same everyday and not particularly tasty either. The cleanliness could have been better, I found a bug or two in the room during my stay. It just feels a bit old.

Everything about the property was very nice. Beautiful entry. Lovely rooms and very good location for us.

There was only one little thought we had which absolutely did not affect our stay, upon going behind the bedside table between the two beds to plug in a device we had to, it may not have been cleaned back there in a long while, was very thick with dust debris and dirt. Otherwise, all nearly perfect and we loved our stay.

Lots of place to park. We could plug our vehicle in when it was cold. The regular hotel we stay at when coming to Regina in the summer doesn’t have plug ins

This is our first time staying at this hotel. Apparently the Restaurant and bar have been closed since covid. We had to go out to eat lunch or supper. Would have been nice if restaurant would have been open so we didn’t have to go out in minus 30

The breakfast was good and the location as well.

I was surprised to find that my room was not cleaned during the day. Not that it particularly needed it but that is what I am used to and expected. I was fine with it not being cleaned, but, it would have been nice to have been told when I checked in. I guess I had to put out the sign to have it cleaned. Did not realize that. Again it would have been nice to have been informed.

The location was excellent, with easy access to restaurants. The breakfast was diverse and delicious. We stayed in a pet-friendly room, and overall, it was clean. Those worried about bed bugs can stay here with peace of mind. Faruk was very helpful and answered every question we asked.

The only things I found negative were the noisy ventilation and the old beds..

The breakfast was amazing. It had everything, and it was nicely set up. There was plenty of parking.

Every time I had to get into my room, I had to really struggle with the key. I left it in for a few seconds like they said at the desk, but I just found that neither of the keys worked well. Also the lighting in the room was very dim; I would have liked better lighting.
