The location of this hotel was perfect for me; it was near Hongdae shopping street and close to public transportation, but it was tucked back on a quiet side street. The room was spacious, beautiful, and clean (though they should clean the carpets), the bed was comfy, and I loved having a bathtub. It was just me, so I didn't mind the glass bathroom walls, but it would've been an issue if I'd had another person with me. It's privacy glass, so that's not a problem, but the light wakes me up if someone uses the bathroom at night.

Breakfast wasn't my favorite, so I only went the first couple of days and then got breakfast from one of the many cafes in the neighborhood the rest of the time. The hotel breakfast consisted of two choices: an American breakfast with eggs and sausage or a Korean option with beef soup. As I'm a vegetarian, neither option was ideal. There was also a small buffet with very limited choices (bread, a bit of fruit, cereal). Besides breakfast, I really enjoyed this hotel and would stay there again!

Great location near to Hongik subway and buses. Close to convenience stores and restaurants. Surprisingly quiet given the area. Lovely balcony area in the penthouse rooms.

Bed was very firm which made it hard to sleep as I prefer a softer mattress. The lighting in the room, especially the bathroom was very dark. Sofa cushions had lost a lot of their plump.

Exterior and interior design of hotel was just amazing! Something we didn't expect from the overall area (Hongdae). Staff at reception were very helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was delicious! One day, there was no breakfast because they were filming a kdrama but we were offered an alternative breakfast package delivered to our room which was delicious and a lot! Rooms were very clean and big enough for the two of us. Bathroom had a bath which was nice to relax after a full day out. Location was excellent as it's close to bus stops, underground station as well as the Hongdae shopping street and university buildings.

This was the perfect place to rest for our first night in South Korea. It was very easy to get to from the airport by using the Airport Limousine. The neighborhood was lively and had plenty of things to do even though we arrived late in the evening. The hotel was comfortable and easy to sleep in.

Compared to our other hotels, the front desk was a bit challenging but we were able to check in and check out with no problems. Pillows and mattresses throughout our trip again were typically all hard and slightly uncomfortable, including this hotel.

For its price, it offers EXCELLENT value for money because the room is spacious, the bathroom is spacious, the toilet has a modern bidet, there is rainshower, the hotel is located in a GREAT location a block away from the pedestrianized street where there is shopping, food, and most importantly… STREET PERFORMERS! I highly recommend this hotel.

One slight improvement opportunity is for there to be a glass door in the bath area so that the water won’t get everywhere when taking a shower. But i was able to avoid that from happening by being very careful with the placement of the handheld shower before turning on the knob. Other than this (which is manageable), it was an absolutely excellent stay!

The attention to detail. My room had a wireless phone charger, a hairband, clean indoor slippers, sheets were changed every day and location was perfect

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The room was cozy and warm during the winter, thanks to the floor warmer, which made it incredibly comfortable. The toilet was spotless and odor-free, equipped with a bidet system that added a touch of luxury to the experience. Highly recommend for a comfortable and pleasant stay! The location is good which we had no problem to bring our large luggage to the subway with elevator access to the platform.

I have stayed at 9Brick before but had a different room type, this time my room was massive! Had so much space and was very comfortable and clean, not to mention a great location with so much going on right outside your doorstep. Super convenient for exploring Hongdae and only a few mins walk to the subway station. Would def stay again and recommend!

Great location within minutes walk from the station, airport bus stop, and shopping street. We could come back and rest mid-day whenever we were tired.

The “do not disturb” button doesn’t work. We usually only request for housekeeping on alternate days so this was a little inconvenient as we had to tell the housekeeper in the morning not to come in the room. The light panel was only at the inner bedside which is hard to reach as we had to walk around the whole bed to turn on/off certain lights. Dual switch would be better.

Location. Views from the window. Close to train station. Lots of places to eat. Crowds of young people probably due to proximity to the university.

The room with 2 single (not even twin size) beds was very small. Lighting in bathroom very odd and insufficient. Bathtub had insufficient shower walls so water splashed on the floor during shower. There was no closet or storage place for suitcases or clothes.
