We had a good stay in Hongdae Dolma Guesthouse. We were travelling to the west of Seoul and it was easy to get there from the nearby station. The host welcomed us quite late and showed us the property. The room was spacious, bed huge and the a/c was great, with plenty of bedding and towels provided. The kitchen facilities were also great, with coffee, tea, cold water and hot water available whenever, and a good breakfast provided in the mornings. The location, bedroom size and kitchen dining facilities were all great bonus points for our stay.

The shared aspect of this property makes it difficult. It was very difficult to use the bathrooms when needed, as there's not many given the number of beds in the property. Guests were using them to shower for really long periods of time, often one after another. People also blocked toilets and didn't report, and the overall cleanliness of the bathrooms was a little low. You could also hear other guests well into the night, including showering at 2am. We were awake late anyway, so it wasn't too much of an issue for us, but something to think about if you go to bed early. The host was also in the property but didn't say anything to the guests, despite having a clearly stated 'quiet hours'.

Everything about the place was really great! We arrived late (1am) coz of immigration delay but the owner waited for us even though the check-in time was supposedly only 'till 11pm. The breakfast was really great too! We loved it! The facilities are always clean. We can get or change towels whenever we want. There's also a lift so it was convenient going in and out even with our heavy luggages. It's also near the subway stations. Convenience stores are also near.

You have to wait if someone is using the comfort room since it's a common area. Although, it's not that big of deal since there are 3 choices.

The location was great, very close to the train station exit. Plenty of convenience stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and even a grocery store close by. It was easy to find, entrance is on the 4th floor, with signs on the street directing you to the elevator. The guesthouse itself was perfect. Light and bright with a very pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast provided included toast, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, and eggs. The very well stocked shared kitchen had fridge space, microwave, stove, teapot, etc. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Seoul!

The rooms were spacious and clean with individual AC units. Having the option to make your own breakfast was a great reprieve from buying breakfast everyday on vacation and a great way to start the morning. Bathrooms were clean. Host was very gracious and available.

All the bathrooms are shower/toilet combination rooms which led to a bit of build-up for bathroom time in the morning if there are lots of other guests. Having one toilet-only bathroom could be helpful for the mornings where everyone is showering and occupying the bathrooms for a long time.

I like it very much. Super clean and cozy. And the location to subway station is only 3-5min. I felt that the owner has all music from different countries…hahahha! The owner taught me how to get water and coffee to drink and cook in the morning. So many shower rooms and towels that I can choose to use. Feels like at home indeed. Actually I tried another guest house with high rate. But it didn’t work well. After I transferred to Dolma, wow! Btw, I forgot my medicine in the fridge, owner helped me to send to my Korea friend immediately. Sorry for the inconvenience! Thanks a lot for all the well communication and help!

Prime location— close to train lines and multiple bus lines as well as pretty central to many entertainment and shopping areas. About 30-40 ride out to most major Seoul attractions. Decent room size for a group of 4 and although facilities are shared, they’re well maintained. Host also keeps really nice music playing throughout the day making for a nice hangout vibe even when in the rooms.

Not much honestly. Maybe if the beds were a little softer but even then it was alright.

The location was very good and convenient. There were cafes, convenience stores, and yummy eateries nearby. Decent and light breakfast was served. Nothing fancy however, enough to get your day started. Mr An was also very accommodating in leaving our luggage for early check-in and late checkout plus sending us to the airport.

The door locks appear to be quite loose so you'll able to hear the next room unlocking and locking the doors, which was pretty loud. Laundry timings can be more flexible as the timing was restricted to when tourists would leave the guesthouse.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed. The accommodation is very tidy and clean. The host is also nice and helpful. The stay is what exactly the photos shown, breakfast is also included (provided between 730-1030). Location of the accommodation is great, right near the Honddae station, it takes about 7mins walk to the station. I would definitely recommend you all to stay here!

100% would repeat. Lift to the guesthouse. Clean. Helpful staff. Feels veryyy homey. Best stay I've had in Hongdae out of 5 I've tried so far. Located further from the fun stuffs but nearer to housing area so it's quiet. Value for money 100%

A bit further from the station but it's a good flat walking if you want to walk from the station. Not hilly.

Very clean and comfortable stay, included breakfast which was nice. There is communal seating areas and a kitchen with tea and coffee, usually some nice music playing in the lounge. There shared bathroom facilities which were always clean and plenty of towels/soap etc. the host was helpful, and we could do washing too for 3000 won. Location is great with lots of shops and restaurants around, and metro not far. There’s also a lift up to the floor if you have luggage. Would stay again!
