Great location in the middle of lively Hongdae. The room was nice and clean, with complimentary water and coffee capsules provided. Excellent toilet and shower facilities. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The room is small and cramped, especially if you have more than two pieces of luggage. We visited in the winter and the closet is hardly big enough for all the coats/layers, not to mention it's on the far side of the room rather than near the door where it would be more convenient. Also, the light at the bathroom sink was too dim at a bad angle, making it almost impossible to do eyebrows/makeup.

We got to check in early, which was a pleasant surprise for us. The staff spoke English well, which made things easier (after coming from Sokcho). The sink, toilet and shower areas were all separated, which we appreciated. Overall, room was very comfortable and location was great.

There was some loud sound coming from the shower drain the first night, which startled us from our sleep. We called for help, but there was no more sound by the time the maintenance guy came, and he explained it was due to water pressure. The sound came back again the second night, but we let it be until it went away. In hindsight, we should have requested to change rooms. The remote for the toilet bidet functions also didn't seem to be working very well...

The hotel is located very near a major subway station (a stop along the All-stop Airport Express) and in a hip area where there r a lot of activities and many shops and eateries. The staff r friendly and helpful and the rooms r well-kept and comfortable. There is also a complimentary capsule-coffee machine with decent coffee. Although there isn’t a swimming pool but there is a well-stock gym. Check-out time is at 12pm which is later than the 11am check-out time for most hotels. Even that the manager still able to extend our check-out time to 1pm.

The room size is a bit constrained but understandable cos in Seoul these popular areas r hugely expensive. One minor point is to have a few clothing hooks in the bath/ toilet area for convenience.

The location was convenient if you are looking to be in this area. The hotel was easy to find and navigate. Even though it was on a busy street, the hotel was quiet in the rooms. One night there were dancers performing nearby, but closing the window kept the music out. The gentleman who checked us in was super nice and helpful as well. It was also convenient to have the toilet, shower, and sink area all separated. I think this hotel was a pretty good value for the price.

Rooms are pretty tight, but my friend and I each got our own rooms, so it was perfect for us.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Mercure Ambassador Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was impeccably clean and stylishly decorated. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to the bustling streets, and all the famous and delicious food.

I did find the breakfast offerings to be somewhat lacking. A bit more variety and freshness would have been appreciated. The value of the breakfast is not worth for the price. And the bedroom size is too small to fit in 2 luggage.

A clean and tidy room in the heart of the action—situated between a lively party street on one side and a bustling shopping street on the other. This spot is perfect for those aged 18 to 25. Fortunately, our room on the 8th floor faced the quieter shopping street, offering a more peaceful stay. Thanks for updating, super helpful and kind receptionist.

We decided to dine at the hotel's restaurant, only to find a waiting list of 20 guests—most of whom were hotel residents. Disappointingly, the staff didn’t prioritize hotel guests. To make matters worse, they refused to take an order for room service.

Friendly & helpful staff and good location. Very convenient within short walking distance to subway, lots of good food nearby, shopping street and shops, convenience store and pharmacy. Coin laundry is a plus with nice waiting area

Room is on the small side. Right after walking in toilet and shower area on the right of walkway, cupboard, sink and clean towels under the sink on the left (ie no separate bathroom). Very clever use of space but maybe clean towels can be placed somewhere else instead of so near where we put our shoes as we walk in? Had a bit of issue with the AC on first 2 nights but was promptly resolved after calling desk.

Staff members were very friendly and helpful . They spoke English very well. We had to change room during our stay. The move from one room to another room was very easy. The upgrade was free of charge. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. This hotel has a coined washer and dryer, garment steamer and irons and ironing boards.Reservation for taxi can be done at the hotel. We had a large group therefore we needed a jumbo taxi, the staff arranged for our ride. The breakfast was good . There were a variety of items from Korean soup, corn soup, japchae, fried rice, mapo tofu, scramble eggs, cereals,fruits, salad, crossaint etc. The location was very accessible to public transportation. It is less than a 5 minutes walk to a subway, bus or main road to hail a taxi. Also, the hotel is surrounded by convenient stores, restaurants,cafes, street food, street vendors, and shopping centers.The check-in and checkout process were very quick. We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel.

The dining room was small. We had to make a reservation if we want to have breakfast or dinner at the hotel.

Convenient location (just 2-3 minutes away from exit 9 of Hongdae Univ. subway station) is the advantage of this hotel. Staffs speak good English and are friendly. Beds are comfortable.

However, cleanliness is not up to the standard for a 4 star hotel which charges USD 220 per night for a twin room. The bedside table has sticky stain on it which is pretty disgusting. Moreover, the air conditioner is difficult to operate. We chose cool mode and set the room temperature at 21 degree Celsius. It was cool initially but after a while, it felt warm. The awkward air conditioner with its fluctuating room temperature disturbed our sleep. I am aware that an inverter air conditioner will stop running temporarily when the room temperature reaches set temperature but it definitely did not feel like 21 degree Celcius when the air conditioner entered its pause mode.

The stay started out on the right foot when at check-in at 9 in the morning, fresh off a redeye flight, Sarah Lee was able to give us a free upgrade so we could get into an available room right away. This free upgrade to an immediately available room allowed us to take a nap and salvage our first night in Seoul, following. along and unpleasant night flight. The laundry facilities are good allowing guests to affordably and easily do their laundry during the stay. The neighborhood is lively with everything you need in a short walking distance. The hotel is a short walk from exit 9, enjoying direct access to the Airport train. The room itself is comfortable and modern and quiet, despite being in a loud neighborhood. This is every thing you expect in an upscale urban hotel!
