Location was quite convenient. Hongdae station was a 5 min walk away, where you can take the airport subway line too. The room was spacious, there was a seperate space that could easily store bigger luggage. Communication with the staff was done prior to checking in. When checking in, it was quite easy as their instructions were laid out nicely and easy to follow along.

One of the downsides is that there were only stairs. Our room was on the 3rd floor so we had to carry it up 3 floors, but it was not too bad. There's no seperate fridge in the rooms, but there's a big shared one in the kitchen.

Great location, super close to the train station to get around Seoul (and to/from airport lines especially Gimpo). Hongdae is also a really great area to explore (cafés, tattoos, kbbq, shopping, karaoke, etc). I liked that there were some free breakfast options & a vanity room to get ready. It was a very social place too and met lots of girls from around the world :)

The only downsides were that it felt a bit insecure, as there are no locks or key cards for each room, and the front door is often open during the day. The bathroom facilities could be a bit better, although they do provide excellent shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. I slept fine on the bottom bunk, but my friends on the top bunk found them a bit uncomfortable.

There were a lot of products (shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, toothpaste, ...) to use, which was very good and also an area with mirrors and tables for doing your makeup and a big fridge. The staff responded fast and everything in the house was labeled so you could find your ways around the apartment easily. Also the location is very good in the middle of Hongdae but still quiet at night. Curtains on the bed give privacy and there is a nicely sized common room with a kitchen and many kitchen utensils to use. Only things that weren't good was, that there was barely space for putting your clothes, the metal beds made a lot of noise and the mattress was already bending down in the middle. It didn't really bother me personally but maybe someone who needs a soft and quiet bed might not be comfortable

Great hostel for those on a budget. The rooms are spacious and clean, meaning that multiple people can pack at once. There are also small lockers in the room that a large backpack fits into. The rooftop is lovely in the evening and the social area is great although people do talk late into the night sometimes. Only 1k won for the washer and dryer which is amazing and a great simple but filling breakfast. Check in is flexible so it’s great for potential flight or train delays.I’d definitely stay again while in Seoul.

The shower could be improved but it’s not a big issue.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it! The breakfast was decent and provided a good start to our day, with a variety of options to choose from. The location is truly excellent—just a short walk to the AREX station at Hongik University, Exit 7—making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city. One of the highlights of our stay was the common area in the kitchen, where we could gather as a family in the mornings. It was a great space to enjoy breakfast together and plan our daily adventures. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, adding to the overall comfort of our trip. The staff were exceptional—fluent in English, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed throughout our 8-night, 9-day stay. Their helpfulness made our experience even more enjoyable and stress-free. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and we truly appreciated the convenience, comfort, and hospitality this hotel offered. Without a doubt, we will be returning for another stay in the future!

The location is amazing and it’s very easy to come and go from the hostel. The staff are kind and responsive. The room is nice size and bed comfortable! It is nice that you can change your towels to clean ones easily and use the kitchen and washing machine easily. Overall a great stay.

The only cons were that the building was advertised as a female-only dormitory to me, but there were men living there. The upstairs stayers also would stomp up and down the stairs multiple times even in the middle of the night (1-3am) which would keep me awake. Kids were also allowed in the hostel so they would be very loud early in the morning. The other guests didn’t seem to be respectful about quiet times at all. I would advice taking very good ear plugs as my normal ones didn’t help with the high screaming and low stomping sounds.

Location is really perfect, 5 minutes from the subway and super close to Hongdae, very easy to find. The colleagues at reception were super friendly and helped us with every question we had, we also needed to make a phone call and they even let us borrow their phone. Our luggages were super heavy and they helped us to check out on our last day as well. The rooms are very comfortable, bathrooms are clean and you can find everything you need including travel adaptors, fresh water, and clean towels at all times. Even though it is near a busy area, the street is very quiet so you can get a good rest. You helped us out so much, thank you!! We hope to come back soon.

The guesthouse feels more like a flat share than a hostel which is a positive, it feels more cosy and independent. I like that there are breakfast foods, tea and coffee etc in the kitchen for breakfast and a cash jar to put what you owe inside, it shows trust from the owners for people to not abuse the system which is nice. The bathroom and showers were good and I like the common areas. Also very close to the station for easy travel anywhere

The only downsides were that the beds were super uncomfortable for me, they were small metal bunkbeds that moved a lot with any slight movement. If you can afford it I would upgrade your stay as I looked in other rooms and the beds looked nicer than the ones I was in. Also as there is no one looking over the guesthouse the rules were frequently overlooked when it comes to noise. People would be loud in the communal areas past midnight, although this isn’t an issue with the property it is something to consider

Great for female solo travellers! All girls in the house and its so easy to make friends and do stuff together. There is hot and cold water, laundry, towels, shampoo, body wash etc. and straightening irons, blowdryers, everything u need basically. I made so many friends bc of my stay here and its cheap! the location is also great its so close to the subway and hongdae street/clubbing area but its not too loud outside. the dormitory I stayed in also had its own fridge besides the one in the kitchen. Late check in was also smooth for me.

Location is very close to all the party places in Hongdae, They provide a simple free breakfast before 11am (eggs, bread, jam, butter, juice, coffee) actually thats a lot, its cheap to pay too after 11am its just 2000krw or something, which is totally worth it. Room, it depends on you how you keep it, but they do clean it when asked, and every 12pm there is vacuuming that happens, but there are bags left behind by previous guests which needs to be cleaned, but i understand even the cleaning incharge cannot touch it not knowing who it belongs to. Its always so lively and welcoming, this was my 2nd time going top Able, and will stay there if i ever go back to Seoul

can be more clean, but it really depends on the people staying, half the time it was because people dint wash the stuff after themselves, people living in guesthouses should know the basics needs when living in a shared space
