I chose this place because there were so many nice reviews and now I'll add one! I really loved my stay in Bunk Guesthouse. I will always remember it! I stayed in this guesthouse for 7nights and travelled alone but I met so many awesome people here so I wasn't alone at all. All staff are extremely kind and especially Brian. I had an accident and needed to go to hospital asap.. and Brian took me there. Brian also tries to remember guests by their names. He knows area well. He is awesome and kind person and brings extremely good vibes to this hostel. I liked how the toilets and showers werent in the same room. So no need to queue for toilets/shower because someone is taking forever. The towels might be small for western "taste". The breakfast area brings people together. You can prepare your own breakfast there. It is also fun hangout spot before going out with people you meet :) There is also rooftop area and it is pretty cool to see at evening time. This guesthouse really goes above and also organizes trips if there are enough interested guests. Please notice that they only take cash payment for the trips. This guesthouse is in Hongdae area so don't be surprised that in this area clubs and places are more for "young" people. There is also possibility to do your laundry, I didn't need to use that one but just saying. It is super near to metro station and nice stores. The location is super. This hostel is perfect for solotravellers who want to be social and meet new friends! I truly recommend. I miss this place already.

The owner is very attentive to the arrival and reception of the guests. Excellent location, near the train station that goes directly to the airport. In addition, the area is a very lively area, full of restaurants and shops. Very good area to stay in Seoul. Breakfast is basic but sufficient. The rooms are small, they do not have luggage lockers, but there are still cameras everywhere. I felt very safe.

My stay at Bunk hostel was the best overall hostel experience I’ve had so far. First I really liked the place with rooftop, kitchen and chillout area, where you can spend days and nights with other guests. The location is perfect, close to the subway (4 minutes walk) and in the heart of Hongdae. The dorm is basic, nice & clean and it even has windows (not very common in Seoul). Two toilets and two showers are shared in the hallway. Brian and Astrid are the heart of this hostel, always there to help and care. This hostel is perfect for socializing. I’ve met so many nice people and friends there, that it was hard to leave in the end. Thank you for this experience, I’ll definitely come back!

A shelf or hook in the bathrooms would’ve helped, but that’s only a minor thing and icing on the cake. :)

The location is perfect. Not in the middle of the busy hongdae street but not far away. The place has 2 buildings that are nice and spacious for hanging around and meeting other travellers. The host is lovely and awesome. Ready to help with anything and solve problems.

My friend dropped her charger between the bed and the wall. While moving the bed a little bit we noticed used papers/toothpicks and uncleanness. Got us feeling quite uncomfortable.

Bunk was the best! Everyone was so friendly and the vibes were excellent. Perfect location, right in the heart of Hongdae without being too crowded, excellent cafes nearby. I also loved that the guests were mostly contained to the outdoor terrace or rooftop when wanting to socialise, and left you alone if you wanted to be in the living room. It was a nice fluidity and I never felt overwhelmed by people which can happen in hostels sometimes!

Nothing, perfect stay.

If you don't mind having limited space in exchange for central and affordable accommodation, this is the place for you. The guest house is just a short walk from the shopping street, with its restaurants and shops, and only five minutes from the subway stations. It's the perfect place to avoid getting bored. Yet our room was completely quiet, which was great! We had a room for two with a bunk bed and an en-suite bathroom. It wasn't large, but it was more than sufficient, and there was still room to store two large suitcases. Towels and shampoo are provided in the bathroom, and drinking water is available in the hallway. The staff is very nice and always there to help, if you need tips, if you are looking for the roof terrace or also if have to make phone calls in Korean e.g. with your flight company. They also chat casually with guests at breakfast in the cozy common area, where you can get toast, spreads, tea, coffee, and juice every morning. You can also use kitchen utensils, such as pans, to fry eggs for breakfast. Some very nice extras: We needed to do laundry, and the guesthouse provides a washing machine, dryer, and detergent at a reasonable price. This was very convenient for us. Since we had bad luck with the weather, we were also happy to borrow the guest house's umbrellas.

Our room was on the first floor, so it was easy for us. However, some rooms are only accessible via staircases. The house is very winding, so it might be inconvenient for people with suitcases depending on which room they get.

Brian was a fantastic host. Super friendly and cool guy. I did the DMZ tour with him on the Tuesday and it was super informative and a great day, 10/10, I imagine much better than typical tour company. The accommodation also offers free breakfast, which was great. Location was fantastic. Facilities were great, clean and never had to wait for a shower etc. I also really loved the rooftop - was able to sunbathe a bit while waiting to check in. I would really recommend this accommodation!

As with many hostels, it was loud at night. You defo need noise cancelling headphones or ear plugs if you struggle to sleep with noise (or you can just stay up with everyone else)!

Location. Location. Location. I am able to put my things after morning shopping session, and continue to do another shopping session in the afternoon. If you are taking airasia, the airport train and buses are available at 5.30am and 4.00am for the latter. Brian did his best to advise and accommodate my request. The room is suitable for couple and the bathroom was squeaky clean. Eating very easyyyyyyy. Location good for those who likes food

The room is a bit outdated. Those seeking aesthetic Instagram photos will be disappointed. But if you just want to rest, this is the place due to the location and easy to get food

The host, Brian, was super kind and helpful. He really made my trip to Seoul great. He pointed out places to shop and eat at, and he always made me feel welcomed. When I visit Seoul again, I'll definitely be staying here again thanks to Brian's hospitality. The location is also excellent. It's near Hongdae, which is a hip part of town, so lots of bars, restaurants and vintage clothing stores, and the closest station, Hongik University Station, goes directly to the airport. It's also on Line 2, which goes directly to the Meongdeong area (not Meongdeong station but still within walking distance) The rooms are well-kept, and even small towels are provided (although I recommend bringing your own). There's a charging port in the lobby, which is perfect, if, like me, you hadn't realized the outlets in Korea are different than the US Breakfast is nice: toast, eggs, spreads, and an espresso machine. On weekends, cup noodles are also offered. All-in-all, a fantastic place for an excellent price.

The only quibble I have is with the showers - there are two but only one can really be used at a time, since the hot water is seemingly shared between both. However, it's something that can't be helped and can be mitigated by taking a shower later at night.

Convenient location in the heart of the vibrant Hongdae neighborhood, easily reachable from the airport by direct airport train arriving to Hongik metro station, which is 5 minutes’ walk from the guesthouse. My room was clean, quite basic. Good price/quality ratio. Very good hospitality, guest are made feel welcome. The guesthouse organizes tours for the guests. I went on DMZ trip, which was very interesting. Our host, Brian, took us to the places which would be very difficult to reach otherwise and showed us an authentic Korea. I highly recommend to take a tour while staying in Bunk

I would add some sweet options for breakfast. E.g. fruit juice, cookies etc.
