I attended an academic conference, and the venue was excellent—very professional. The location of the accommodation was great as well, with plenty of good food and coffee options nearby. The hotel lobby was elegant and exuded a sense of history, which I absolutely loved! Although the room facilities were dated, they were well-maintained and did not feel old or shabby.

The stated checkout time was before 11 a.m., but on the day of checkout, something unusual happened. Starting around 8 a.m., housekeeping knocked on my door almost every hour, and even attempted to unlock the door with a keycard. I had to jump out of bed without proper clothing and rush to block the door, which was extremely impolite and unprofessional. It felt as if they were in a hurry to push guests out, which was very uncomfortable.

The location was perfect! We had tickets to see Buddy Guy at Legends so we didn't have to drive, it was directly across the street. Which made for a stress free night of fun! Buddy Guy rocked the show, such a great time! The hotel is beautiful and the room had everything we needed. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

The only thing that wasn't ideal was the view from our room. We couldn't see anything but part of the building from our windows. Next time I would probably book a room with some sort of a view. Also the added cost of parking was unexpected but it was good to know that our vehicle was in a safe place and covered from any winter weather.

the location is key. it’s in a great neighborhood that you can walk to the bean, lake or River from. there are also good food and drink options on property! kitty O’Shea’s is a fun vibe and the other bar is nice. there’s grab and go food which is actually very delicious! they have security requiring you to show a room key before going up to your room at night which I appreciated!!!

they charge you to use the gym. after paying $300 a night for a room, they want you to pay $15 a day for the gym. seems silly. they also require a tip when you purchase grab and go food. nobody is providing service but when they ring you up you can’t check out without selecting a tip amount, with 10% being the lowest.

I was in Room 707. This room location was too noisy: I heard the trains running all day and all day. I heard the train whistles, which was disturbing for a restful night's sleep. I heard all of the other outside noises too, such as a fireworks show but was very scary because it sounded like bombs going off. I had to call to the front desk to ask what was that noise. I can take minimal noise, but all the noise I heard was not good. There was also a concert in park, and late at night, there was drag-racing with loud cars. There were about 2-3 conferences at the hotel, and there were far too many people milling about in the lobby areas. Too many people blocking the lobby and at the elevator.

Loved the location. convenient to public transit and walkable distance to museums and shopping.

Staff was friendly but not actually helpful. At check in I was asked if I wanted daily maid service and I said yes. However, I had to ask for maid service almost everyday in order to get fresh towels and new supplies. Also, the bed was lumpy and it was hard on my back for a 9 night stay.

We've got upgraded for a small fee to a Junior suite with a view of the lake, park and Buckingham fountain. We loved it! The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a great size and clean. We were nicely surprised to have hot water running from the faucet right away, not 5-10 minutes later. The living room area was nice and spacious. Also, because we came to Chicago in the morning, we had to wait till check in time at 3pm. It was nice that Hilton offers this service of storing the luggage until you need it. There is a storage room for it downstairs. It was very convenient and very thoughtful for Hilton.

It was way too cold for us and we had to turn off the AC, because there was no AC controller anywhere, which is odd. People have different temperature preferences. There needs to be a way for them to regulate it. Also, the bedroom was too dark, because this huge TV was covering the window. One smaller TV on the wall would be perfect.

The location was perfect! The staff was exceptional! We always had exactly what we needed throughout our stay. Our kids loved the gym and pool in the evenings.

My only complaint is the temperature of the room. We turned the air all the way down and the lowest the temp went was about 70 degrees even with it being about 40-50 degrees outside. I cant imagine how hot the rooms get in the summer. Thankfully we had a fan we brought from home and we cracked the window at night.

My grand-daughter and I had a 2-bed 2-bath room at the inside end of one of the michigan avenue-facing "U"s. It was spacious and had a lovely, though a bit restricted, view of the park/lake. The separate bathrooms were great. Room 1408

No concierge, so no help with taxi, etc. or restaurant advice.

We got upgraded to a premium corner room on 19th floor- large room- two queen beds, good views and spacious. All our party could hang out in the room. The guy at reception was great when we checked in. Even though it was a crazy weekend due to huge concert, he got one of our party on 18th floor, right under us. Other party had a really nice room on same floor but other side of hotel. Large pool- only downside was you have to make reservation, but understandable due to size of property. Food is a little pricey, but very good. All staff we interacted with were very good,

Parking was hard, due to huge concert which we did not know was happening. One of our party could not get parking in hotel, but one of the parking staff did tell them a place to try a block away. It did end up having room so that worked out.

It's a beautiful hotel. A lot of history. Eventually we had a beautiful corner room on the 9th floor.

The 1st night we stayed in a room for people with mobility problems.The shower was designed for wheelchairs. When showering the water would flood a part of the bathroom. For the next 3 nights we got a beautiful corner room with a clear view of the lake and part of the city.
