The staff at check in was fabulous!! They go "above and beyond". It is in a great location for what I typically like to do in Chicago-Art Institute, theatre and it's an easy walking distance from Union Station plus it is just around the corner from the blueline. Breakfast is much better than most "breakfast included" hotels, especially in this price range.

No one was at the street level post later at night. And, although this has nothing to do with the hotel, I was stunned by all the closed businesses in the area. It used to be so vibrant. While the breakfast is very good with many choices, unfortunately cut up mixed fruit is not one of them.

The staff was very friendly. They gave us complementary bottles of water when we checked in and checked out. The breakfast was very good. Different kinds of breads and pastries. Scramble eggs, potatoes, sausage or bacon, fruits, oatmeal with toppings, waffles with toppings cereals, milk, juices, and coffee and tea 24hrs. Great location. Walking distance to everything! The rooms were very clean. They have great products. Housekeeping always did a great job. There was a small fridge in the room. They have security downstairs. It was just a great hotel.

The beds were ok, but I think they need new mattresses.

The hotel's location is amazing.

I'm still waiting to get an invoice for this stay. I paid in advance on Booking and it seems I'm caught between Booking and the hotel. I asked before checking in through Booking app if I can get an invoice - the hotel reps answered I will get it at check out. At check out, they explained they can only provide a final receipt (shows zero after releasing the deposits) and no info about the amount actually paid for the reservation. They said only Booking can provide the invoice... Called customer service - nope, Booking says only the hotel can provide the invoice. It's not the first time this happens - I'm caught in between, just need the invoice for my payment and it should not be that hard or take so long to get something so basic... It's very frustrating.

The proximity of the hotel to all destinations or sites. The room is spacious, clean and very classy. The cook/in-charge of the breakfast who is smiling, courteous and charming. The cleanliness of the hotel lobby and hallways.

No complimentary water provided in the room. Mini bar is for a fee. The lady receptionist upon check-in who was very rude and was playing a victim. I just wanted to confirm the email ad which I dictated to her to ensure it's correctness so the message she will sent later would get through. She shouted at me and said you're insulting me and slammed the papers she was holding.

The rooms were the nicest I’ve ever seen at a Hampton Inn. Clean, comfortable and spacious.

Great options for hot breakfast! They always have hot coffee in the lobby, staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room service attendant made a sweet little bed for my daughter’s stuffed animal when she cleaned the room. The location is really great. Quieter than the next black over but still very very close to walk to anything essentially (or at least all the tourist attractions). Public transport readily available near the hotel for travel if needed.

Things that could have been better would be overcrowded elevators and wait times for elevators. The sofa bed was not comfortable at all. We wanted the sofa and not necessarily the bed though so it worked out. The king bed was firm but pretty comfortable. The rooms are dated in some areas, there was carpet ripped pretty obviously in the joints.

The hotel is great! Everything was on point about it. It's located close to all the attractions you would want to visit. It has a metro station just next to it. We got the L Train from the airport which stops exactly next to the hotel. They have a luggage room so you can leave your luggage before or after check-in/check-out and explore the city. The food is very very good! It's your usual continental breakfast, but everything they offer is of great quality! Quiet rooms, friendly staff! This became our go-to hotel when we are in Chicago!

Location: Perfect 10/10 easy to access from Airport blue line train. Easy to reach city attractions by means of buses, metro, or plain walk. Check-in & out: For Hilton honors guest there is a complimentary water bottle etc. Personnel: Overall kind and helpful 8/10 Room: Large enough and comfortable. A/C works well. Cleaning was ok 9/10. Security: 10/10 Overall: our experience was 8,5/10 and we may consider staying in this hotel again on our future trips to Chicago.

Check-in & out: The lady at reception was at first glance a little bit annoying, other than that smooth and quick 7/10. Breakfast: We liked it, a little bit better than American standards, however there is a room for certain improvement 7/10.

staff was extremely friendly and the room was clean, located right in the heart of downtown with lots of things to do within walking distance

only downside was there were only 2 working elevators and they only fit about 6 people at a time so it made waiting on an elevator very frustrating

The breakfast was excellent, varied offerings including fresh fruit, tasty eggs, potatoes and breakfast meat, as well as waffles and oatmeal, with toppings. These are available in a peasant dining room with staff ready to replenish supplies. In addition, there is a coffee/ tea/ cocoa bar available 24/7. One aspect of the stay that stands out is how helpful and pleasant the front staff is. The room itself is large. I was able to book a room with a tub.
