Upon check-in, we were informed the room that was booked had one small bed in it. The lady checking us in upgraded it to 2x beds which was much appreciated. Breakfast was decent and was a variety of different things, breakfast room staff were very helpful- even on some occasions helping visitors down to their table when they couldn't carry everything at once. All staff that we came in to contact with were friendly. We had the "do not disturb" sign on our door for the entirety of our stay and housekeeping left fresh products in a bag hanging off the door handle which was fantastic.

The beds were very loud when turning at night. We were on the inner square of the hotel and we could still hear street noise.

I really enjoyed the warm reception and attention from the attendants,receptionists,parking personnel,security,everyone. I miss everyone, very genuine and infectious friendliness. Even the kebab guys outside could trace and appreciate me being Nigerian as they were taught by Nigerian teachers back in their country. The customer care service is absolutely very genuine and exceptionally topnotch. Its not a 5-star hotel, its not perfect, but its imperfections makes it home-like. Everyone at The Capitol Downtown Ascend is just very friendly and warm..thats what makes it my home away from Naija..i dey tell you, i swearDown..LOL.

Nothing. Maybe a laundry room should be provided? It was hard to manage my dirty laundry by myself since i dont know anywhere in nash. Alternatively, the hotel can arrange a laundry pickup deal with a nearby drycleaning company. Telling guests to find their way to a laundry place is not nice at all.

CLOSE TO EATING AND EVERYTHING! MY VENUE TPAC...A 2 MIMUTE WALK...PARKING COST REASONABLE

This location, a block from the Capitol, and about a 10 minute walk to Broadway, was ideal for me. Close enough for being a tourist, but out of the craziness of Nashville's wild day and night scene. breakfast was nothing spectacular, but satisfying. Renovations in progress gave a little air of shabbiness and the hallways seem like they could use spiffing up. Onsite bar was a friendly evening hang-out. Staff was very friendly and helpful with anything needed. Everyone seemed genuinely focused on caring for guests. The rook itself was clean, well appointed, and comfortable.

Just a little shabby around the edges. Maybe when renovations are finished everything will shine.

The Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating. The room we stayed in, while it was a bit small, It was spotless and very comfortable. When I asked the desk clerk, if there was a different room possible, he took the time to show me another room that I had the option to move to. I can’t say enough about the staff being friendly and accommodating.

While they serve breakfast, there’s something to be said for more selection and better tasting eggs. The only fresh fruit was apples, and the eggs tasted like reconstituted powdered eggs. But they did have sausage, bacon and sausage gravy. Plus the normal continental breakfast items.

The breakfast was exceptional and the location wa perfect so close to downtown do we could walk easily

We were extremely disappointed with the way the fee structure was implemented. Why we got charged $100 extra for 1 night midweek is still not understood. We have never stayed at a hotel were the rate varied every day. That should have been stipulated on the web site by you or the hotel. It came as quite a shock. We understood the rate was $174. Per night

My car broke down I was stranded there couldn't get a hotel after I stayed in the Rosa for two days they help me out and push my car out of the road they were outstanding your rooms are wonderful clean I can't remember all of them names but I can say this everyone that work there was absolutely wonderful and helpful to me if anybody goes to Nashville I would recommend them stay right there they are the nicest and so helpful people I can't say enough good about them if and when I go back I will definitely stay there but the sonder apt will not ever ever stay there again stood in the rain 30 to 45 minutes trying to get in the place had issues every time I try to get back in no one to help you there terrible stay wouldn't recommend it for anybody wasted my money if I had known about the capital next door I would have stayed there thank you people at the Capitol hotel for helping me when I was stranded

This hotel looks horrible on the outside, the lobby area was dark and uninviting, but once we checked in and entered our room we were pleasantly surprised!! Rooms were nicely updated. Everything is in walking distance. The breakfast that was included was pretty good. The best part of our stay was the price, this hotel is next door to the Sheraton and is half the price!! The staff are pleasant and helpful!!

Clean up the exterior of this place. Entering your room from the exterior gives it a motel vibe.

Perfect location, really walkable from downtown. The breakfast was really nice. Also the staff were helpful and kind. The valet parking was easy. I recommend staying in this hotel.

The rooms were smaller than I thought. We were in a group of four and they forgot to put enough towels for us. But not a big deal, we had room service everyday.

All the staff were very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and great to be around! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! I myself would definitely stay again! The room was very nice, comfortable and enjoyed it. Was also close to all the attractions. Thanks for making our stay wonderful Capital Hotel!! Rich and Carol
