The location is good, although the closure of Temple Square has taken away a lot of its advantages.

Parking is an extra ten dollars a night. Even in Downtown, I find this unacceptable. We are already guests of the hotel and it costs extra for parking?

Our stay at this hotel was amazing! The location couldn't be better. Temple Square is right across the street, and you can even see the temple from the hotel. While the rooms don’t directly face Temple Square, everything is conveniently close by. The TRAX light rail stop is right in front of the hotel, making it super easy to get around. We later discovered that the Green Line train goes straight to the airport and stops right by the hotel. We took a Lyft on our way in, but used the train on the way back. Very convenient! Harmons grocery store is just a short walk away, and we got most of our meals from there. The food selection is great and the prices are very reasonable. The hotel also offers unlimited free coffee 24/7, which was a nice touch. There's a small selection of snacks and essentials available for purchase in the lobby, and the breakfast is surprisingly good and affordably priced. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this hotel for its location, convenience, and value!

The only minor downside is that the room didn’t have a smart TV. We recommend bringing an HDMI cable if you want to stream your own content, something we didn’t have with us. It wasn’t a problem for us since we spent most of our time exploring the city, but if you’re planning a more relaxing stay in, having that option would be great.

If you want to be close to Temple Square, you can't beat this hotel. It's not a new hotel (the carpets a bit tired), but it is very clean and comfortable. The lighting in the room and bathroom was excellent, which hasn't always been my experience with hotels. The staff were friendly. There isn't a real breakfast, but you can purchase cereal, yogurt, etc., in a small lobby area. The UTA-Trax (tram) is directly across the street from the hotel entrance. It only costs $2.50 to ride to the airport, and it takes about 20 minutes to deposit you right at the terminal. City Creek Center is about 3 block away--a huge shopping and dining area.

Staff at the front desk were fantastic--informative, friendly, efficient, helpful. The woman working the breakfast room on Sunday morning was extraordinarily helpful in suggesting possible activities for Sunday afternoon and evening. Room far from vending machines and elevators was very quiet and offered a nice view of the capital building, especially lit up at night. Fridge with working, tidy freezer, Nice shower head.

Neither business center or swimming pool functional due to hotel renovations. Heater blew directly at one side of the bed though it was very efficient.

No breakfast included, parking is costly. The main issue - our room was surrounded between the elevators (3 of them) so all night we’re listening the elevators moving, loud guests coming in and out, a lot of other noises (probably from ice machines located beside the elevators). It was last minute booking and they probably have only those types of rooms, but if they let us know, we would rather stay in other hotel. Didn’t get much sleep at night and have had to drive for 6 hours the next day. So, make sure your room isn’t an elevator room!!!

Great location and comfortable stay We had a pleasant stay at the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel. The location is excellent—right next to Temple Square and within walking distance to many downtown attractions, restaurants, and public transport. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The price was reasonable for the quality and location. If you're visiting Salt Lake City and want to be in the heart of it all, this hotel is a great choice. We’d definitely stay here again!

I was very happy with our stay, for what I paid I really just want a clean and safe place and that’s what I got. Yes it’s a little outdated but it gives the place character and I like that. I don’t need my hotels to be minimalistic and boring. The front desk was very kind to give us a higher floor and a room away from the elevator so we could have more quiet. Whenever I called to confirm or ask about early check in the lady on the phone was super pleasant and when we arrived too early for a room I think his name was Dave, he stored our bags for us. We were able to check in a little earlier than the standard time and we appreciated it. Also the area was perfect, lots of stuff around to see and places to walk without having to rely on transport. I didn’t feel unsafe at any point while here. Also I really adored the lobby restrooms, they were just so pretty and satisfied my vintage loving soul.

I guess I would agree with what some of the reviews said about the bathroom not having a fan or vent of some sort to allow the steam to dissipate. But other than that I don’t have any complaints.

I had no expectations and then it was. Wow! Perfect location to walk around. Very safe. Very clean. So many things to look at and learn about. Absolutely amazing. I can't get over, what a clean Salt Lake City is and well laid out. Extremely organized

The hotel should have provided breakfast for free. but other than that I loved The location and in the evening the night light view the Capitol building the temple the mall. It was very beautiful.

It had a nice lobby and the staff was polite. The room was clean but a bit outdated however it was comfortable.

You have to pay for parking and put down a deposit. Which when I booked it said nothing on it . So it was a surprise when we checked in. Also the parking a garage was way to low for our vehicle but luckily found parking right as we entered. You also have to pay for breakfast. So for how much the room was disappointed that breakfast was not included.
