Modern, stylish, upscale rooms with historic charm located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Top notch location. Close to great restaurants. We paid the up charge for “breakfast included”which we are very happy we did. Received $25 each at the very cool Bambara restaurant on site (can not remember what I paid but I’m pretty sure it was around the same price…lovely breakfast or lunch offered with coffee ) if you feel like splurging stay here and get the breakfast. Absolutely loved the hotel and it’s cool vibe - Con’s…. I didn’t like the up charge with parking. And when I asked for an upgrade they had availability but wanted to charge. I think there should also be free water in the room, but it was 4 to 6 dollars- other hotels have a few extras that do not cost. Puts a little sour taste in your mouth for all the up charges.

Asked to park our vehicle for an hour while we walked across the street for lunch. $8 charge

The staff was mostly friendly, some more than others. The room was lovely and modern, yet not cold feeling. The housekeeping left the shower head facing straight on toward whoever turned on the water outside the shower. I ended up waking up fast with a blast of cold water to the face. I am sure the housekeepers got a kick out of that but we reflected that in our tip. It is a nice hotel and I definitely would recommend this particular hotel to family and friends.

Some of the front desk staff was rude. I find this odd because others were exceptionally professional and nice. Maybe they could use a secret shopper to weed out the bad ones?

The booking process was easy. The check-in process was seamless. The front desk texted me to see how I was doing. I was able to ask many questions and I received an immediate response. I also was granted late check-out that helped me out tremendously. The staff was extremely friendly. The restaurant was very good and the other restaurants the hotel recommended were amazing! I also appreciated that you needed a key card to use the elevator.

There was not a business office bit this was not a big deal as the front desk printed a document for me.

This property is so beautiful the room was very spacious. We were upgraded to a suite which had a living area and bedroom which was very nice as we were visiting family so they could come up to room and catch up with us. The location was great with easy access to restaurants and night life. Valet parking was convenient courteous and prompt.

Not their fault but there is road construction right outside of property they could use better clear signage for entrance to hotel parking

It's the only hotel I've been to in Salt Lake City, so I can't really make comparisons, but it was a very comfortable room for a reasonable price (compared to hotels in many other destinations), and the location was surprisingly good (we caught a musical on a National Tour just across the street!) Very quiet other than the sound of the heating itself.

This hotel is beautiful and I go out of my way to stay at a Hotel Monaco. As usual it was stunning and the room was comfy.

Coffee was cold when we got it at around 7:30 am. I only mention it because it was a $300+ stay for one night, but I get it- things do happen. It was a Wed evening and it was very quiet so I am surprised the price was $300. The construction was a right pain especially because it was immediately outside the side entrance and they had to close the restaurant due to the work being done.

Fabulous location! Walking distance to great restaurants, shopping etc.. The room was clean & spacious. We loved having coffee service in the morning. It was a dog friendly hotel.

Great location, warm welcome

Not the best Kimpton I’ve stayed at—some things look a bit worn. We stayed on the fifth floor and there was a strange clanking noise on and off. We were exhausted so it didn’t really bother us.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem I’ve never experienced customer service in a hotel like this before. Congratulations and Thankyou

Breakfast was outstanding! By far the most satisfying, elegant and delicious hotel breakfast I have had in a long time-this includes travel in Europe. And at a reasonable price. Also the staff are excellent and friendly.
