Style of the hotel was really cool. Close to the Zenith de Paris 👍.

I found it a little strange that the hotel blocks a €100 deposit on your bank card (at check-in)"in case you smoke in the room" and it took almost 7full days for it to be released after check-out. (I've been travelling for over 25yrs and have never once had to put down a deposit on a hotel, especially not through booking.com) One last thing the city tax is stupidly expensive €8.95pp.

Great buffet breakfast with good selection of big croissants, hot food, yoghurts, very nice teas, good coffee machines, cheeses, hams, cakes, pancakes, bread, jams, and cut fruits. The 6 person room was a good size. The beds were soft and comfy. There was a dividing door between both rooms. Hotel was well designed and modern with very good lighting and furnishings. Good lifts to rooms. Nice games room on lower floor with arcade machine, pinball, punching bag, ping pong and pool table. Easy access to hippopotamus restaurant through adjoining door. Good value half board. Hippopotamus restaurant worked well for us and was good value - the allowance of €25 per person for dinner was just enough in the end - this included drinks. The area felt safe for us. Indigo car park just behind the hotel worked well and currently does a deal for 7 nights at a similar price to 3 nights. Great access to metro and tram lines into city centre. Good free map. Most of the staff were really friendly and welcoming.

Good that there is a gym but bare in mind only 2 running machines and 2 sit back cycle machines. Only given one room key between 5 people. Staff at check in are quite short / dismissive and we needed to ask questions to things we expect to be explained e.g., times of breakfast / dinner, how it works, map of the city (which is available) etc. City tax has gone up by x4 so had an extra €121 to pay - nothing the hotel could do about this one. The kettle in our room didn't work properly. There was a lot of noise coming through the floor from the room above on our last night which kept us up a bit. The room smelt a bit of damp when we arrived. The USB power sockets in the room didn't work. A bit of TLC needed here and there (e.g., toilet roll holders in the bathroom were loose).

Breakfast was fair, sausage on the breakfast would have been nice, the decor of the hotel was 100%

Wish the hotel waa closer to Paris, that would be perfect, but saying that we found the trains good and we would come back to the hotel

The location is very good as it is just 50 metres away from all public transport stations (bus, tram and metro). The rooms are sound proof and fitted with ACs, that helped in controlling noise from other rooms and the heat during high temperatures at the time of our stay. There is a flat screen TV with mostly French channels but also has CNN, BBC etc. plus few German channels. There is a water boiler in the room with some tea cups, tea and coffee. Very nice and well cleaned bathrooms with super cool towels. Lovely bath soap and a hanging toilet completes the highlight of the bathroom. The best part of the facility and the service is the restaurant and the people who serve breakfast. There is always enough food for everyone during breakfast. The staff always refill food bowls. The cleaning staff are excellent, very friendly and cleans the rooms very well. There is 24/7 front desk and the receptionist are very friendly. The rooms that have a connecting door in-between are great for families with underage children.

The room size is small and there is no small fridge in the rooms. Also no convenient working desk and chair. The rooms also lack wardrobes to enable guests to neatly keep their clothes.

I traveled with my husband and we stayed here for a week. ROOM: our room was comfortable, not that small as expected in Paris. We had enough space for our luggage, clothes and other stuff. BED: the bed was a bit soft for our taste. We had double pillows and they were comfortable for us. BREAKFAST: The breakfast room was big enough, never too crowded. The choice of cold cuts could have been a bit wider, but there were also scrambled eggs, cheeses, cornflakes, fruit salad, yogurt, croissants and pains... I loved the possibility of making a toast. The juices were nice, but I missed fresh vegetables. SURROUNDINGS: the hotel is located very conveniently at the metro station and at the bus stop for Paris Beauvais Airport so it was easy for us to reach the city center, all the main attractions and the airport. There is also a tram station and a possibility to rent bicycles near the hotel. There is a nice restaurant in the same building (Hippopotamus Steakhouse) where we had nice dinner. Although it wasn't recommended to wander the neighborhood late at night (there are beggars at the streets), we didn't have any unpleasant experiences. COMMUNICATION: The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The wifi was good, only on a few occasions we briefly lost the signal.

The room was clean, but the hallways could be a bit tidier and cleaner. I would love that we had fresh vegetables every morning for breakfast (tomatoes or similar, we found them only on our first day) and a wider selection of bread and pastries.

The hotel is wonderfully priced for what is offered. It's right on the 7 train, so you can reach all the sights you want to see in Paris in 20-30 minutes. The room is small, but fair for the price paid, and we weren't staying in the room much anyways! I saw reviews about concerns the area is unsafe. I never once felt that way. There is a park next door with some homeless people, but this is a major metropolitan city, there are homeless people. I never once felt unsafe or in danger walking the 2 minutes to the Metro, and I wasn't hanging around outside at night in the park besides that. Staff was super friendly and breakfast was great.

Nothing, it was exactly as described. An affordable, cute hotel outside of the city center.

We reserved a quad room for our family of 4 which was amazing in terms of space. We had to rooms that were joined together with one bathroom. The location is a bit outside the city center, however it was easy to navigate with the metro. The cost was amazing for the size of our accommodations and we did not mind the metro/train ride. The room does have A/C although it was not super cool given some of the heat outside. The breakfast was great each morning. We were able to store our things on the day we were leaving in the provided lockers. We liked the close proximity to the food hall directly behind the hotel. There are also a number of attractions/activities in the close area if looking for close activities.

Great hotel in La Vilette! Funky design and decor. A very thought through concept, where you notice new details all the time. Like that the stripes in the wall paper in the corridor are made up out of lyrics from "Forever Young", which also returns in the wall paper in the room but in a different version. Anyhow, comfortable rooms with a bathtub that I enjoyed. comfortable bed and a water kettle. The hotel is close to lots of different types of transport. Good co-working area that I got to use. Nice breakfast and a restaurant in the hotel too. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and nice too. In the neighborhood you'll find restaurants and supermarkets, and of course the canal.

Great Hotel-Concept. Wonderful Building-Facilities. And a Top staff - Service !! a Million and some more times a Huge Thank You for taking care of my Bicycle with full respect. Thx, thx, thx. Many good restaurants-shops nearby, the Parc de la Villette and the activities from the Canal just around the corner with dito atmosphere. A Great startpoint to Go explore Paris at fullest. The Hotel is also superfriendly for less mobile people and or wheelchair. All space is there what is needed,, and 3 elevators. Breakfast is complete and perfect - Coffee very good. And, remember : Forever Young !

No critics, just advice to the owner(s) : The Hippopotamus Steakhouse aside the Hotel can offer more towards perfection of Food, then now received. This Steakhouse has everything needed : Great location / Staff / Atmosphere,, so get that notch Up towards the Food. It deserve it², because I did enjoy this place 200%. So, till a Next time !

The property was very good value for money. Rooms very comfortable and available in a range of sizes. I got a double room at a discounted rate. The location is not central Paris but the Metro line 7 is right outside the hotel and you are at the Louvre in 25 minutes with no line changes. The area is perfectly safe with a few local cafes and bars, but I was usually travelling into the town centre. The breakfast was excellent quality so always get a room with breakfast included - it will save you money.
