- In my opinion, the best quality/price ratio in La Défense (I've tried 5 other hotels nearby). I've been in this hotel approx 15 times, it should say enough - A comfortable bed, a warm shower, a good temperature and rooms are silent enough to sleep well - Wonderful breakfast (food, location and view on the city) - Lovely common area with sports bar, games and more - Fun decorations

- The lift can take some time in the morning to move up to 14th floor for breakfast and get back to ground floor - Depending on where you need to go in La Défense area, this may not be closest hotel. Consider approx 10 minute walking time to the 'Esplanade de la Défense' subway station - Rooms are tiny

As always, a pleasure! This was our third stay at Mama Shelter, and once again, it did not disappoint. The staff were incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, spotless, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable — just what we needed for a restful stay. Everything was clean and well-maintained, which we’ve come to expect from Mama Shelter. We were there with our family for a city trip, and the location is ideal — within just 10 minutes by car, you can reach iconic landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe. The neighborhood itself is very quiet and well maintained, perfect for a peaceful night after a day of exploring. Already looking forward to our next visit!

We stayed one night in Mama Shelter as we went to a concert in La Defense Arena. The location was great as we could walk back after the concert. In our room, I especially loved the bed - the comfiest bed we slept in during our trip. Our room was spacious and clean. We also loved the breakfast buffet: although it was more expensive than in other hotels we stayed, it was big. The hotel concept is playful and nice. We appreciated the free flippers at the reception.

Some of the staff at the reception weren't that friendly, barely saying hello. I paid attention to this as we arrived to Mama from another (much cheaper) hotel that had great service. As the concept is "Mama loves you", I wish they would show this loving attitude a bit more. Also, a bit unhappy with the shower as the water temperature changed a bit, from warm to cooler all of the sudden. Managed to shower anyways so not a big problem.

The hotel is quirky & the staff were extremely welcoming. The breakfast buffet was gorgeous, would recommend enjoying it out on the rooftop as the views into Paris are stunning. Bathroom was spacious & the beds were the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on - like being on a cloud! We were staying since we had tickets to the Eras Tour - the location was fantastic for getting to La Défense as well as into the city easily, and after the concert, it was brilliant to come home to a plush bed for a well deserved rest!

Please be aware that the walk down to the hotel from the Esplanade de la Défense station is not well lit at all. I was fine with this as I'm well travelled, but for some people this can feel very discomforting & off-putting. Not the hotel's fault at all, but something to note, especially if you're solo. Also, the hotel wanted to take a deposit against the room when we arrived - €150, which seemed excessive when we'd already paid almost €800 for our 4 night stay. There was no note of this deposit system anywhere before we arrived to check in (unlike with city tax which I knew about) - I don't mind hotels taking a deposit but just let your guests know ahead of time.

We had two connecting rooms, for ourselves and our two sons (4 & 8 y.o.) This was very practical and nice. Two bathrooms, hallway and enough space. Everybody had a good sleep. The design is quite sophisticated, but not as spectacular as the first Mama Shelter we stayed, in the east of Paris. Still very nice! Breakfast on the fourteenth floor was very good with nice view over Paris. Coffee was made by a barista. Great atmosphere.

Water-pressure in shower was quite low. The surrounding area was not very exciting, but some restaurants were there.

If you want to go to a concert on La Defense Arena , the location of the hotel is ideal. The area seems safe, but very little animated, the hotel has a surprising interior design but manny unnecessary and even annoying feature it's close to metro station and close to the Mall.

The elevator with the controls on the outside, the hotel's exit , no shower gel or shampoo, just some soap, the rooms were cleaned in the afternoon when we ussualy want to rest.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff with an excellent breakfast that surpassed our expectations and not to forget the daily view of the city/Eiffel Tower from the penthouse bar/dinner/breakfast area. Tip: the hotel is situated in the business district, however, if you care to take a walk in the neighborhood you will be surprised to see that it is also a residential area with some nice restaurants. L'Angle restaurant is around the corner from the hotel for some drinks and dinner and has very friendly staff.

A bit to our surprise the room didn't have a water cooker. Would have been nice to be able to drink a cup of tea in your room after a long day of walking/metro/sightseeing in Paris. The simplest/smallest of devices would have sufficed to give us that little bit of extra comfort.

With mama shelter you can’t miss! Always a pleasure to stay at mama shelter with my family! The room was very clean and the bed was wonderful.. We had a nice few on the Eiffeltower. Housekeeping every day is also very nice. The breakfast buffet was well organized and had everything you would like to have for breakfast. We hadn’t had the change to come for dinner but it was nice to see that they had 3 different kind of restaurants amazing! The kids absolutely loved the game hall! enough parking spots also for the electric cars! We had a wonderful stay Thank you!

Unique decor and so refreshingly different. Modern technology right down to the lift. The masks in the room made me smile (I got Thanos) and the Apple TV was great. Clean room and bathroom and the bed showers were white and crisp. The beds were super comfy and supportive. I want to bring my daughter here asap. My autistic son attended this visit and he loved the games! The mama diner was belting and the club salad was delicious.

If I absolutely have to find a problem it would be the air conditioning in the room. Unfortunately it did not cool the room, however it was 35 degrees outside.

The Staff took real great care of my brother & I. First, they upgraded us to a big suite and the day that we left they didn't charge us for parking which was 30 eur. We went there for the Paul Mccartney concert and it was very close to the Hotel a brisk 20 min walk. Breakfast was also very good with a special view of the Eiffel Tower :). Will go back there for sure!
