This is a charming house/hotel a short, pleasant walk from a spacious square with cafes and the cathedral. We were three adults and two kids on the top floor room ‘Camomile’ and slept v comfortably in a wonderfully quirky set-up blending a four poster bed, a double and a single. We enjoyed the generous breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice, pastries, baguettes, yoghurts, teas/coffees and fruit. It set us up wonderfully to continue our journey south. It’s true that there isn’t a restaurant but we ate well at lunch and topped up with drinks and dessert in one of the cafes.

For the price, there was no drawback. The shower was a walk-in affair, but pressure was good and it was a very spacious.

Beautiful big rooms, 4 poster bed - there is something quirky in each room; we had a giant shower! Simple traditional French breakfast. Great courtyard, with both shade & full sun in different areas. Great swimming pool, kept immaculately clean

Nothing really - a little difficult that there are no English speaking staff, but it adds to the spirit of adventure !

This was the second time we stayed here. Both times, the rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included, so that's great. We were arrriving late, so I contacted the host and he gave us the code to the front gate and left the key to our room in the door. We ended last year's hike here so it was good to have a known starting point for this year's hike. Highly recommeded.

Everything was fine.

Stunning property with lots of period features and furnishings in a perfect location for the town and surrounding areas. The pool area is lovely with a very relaxed atmosphere, we were left to it which is perfect for us. We particularly liked the honesty bar which was good value in comparison to local bars so don’t forget to take some cash. Breakfast was fresh and adequate. The best bit, dog friendly :-)

There’s a kettle and fridge in the room but no mugs or tea/coffee so if you like a brew before you head out don’t forget to take some or ask at the hotel.

A beautiful bedroom very tastefully decorated with lots of pictures and object d'art. The shower space was exceptional. The location was great, short walk to the shops and restaurants.. The breakfast was excellent.

The creaky floor boards, but this was really a minor irritant.

Comfortable room in a lovely old property. A different sort of overnight stop. Excellent breakfast and we were able to have a swim in the outdoor pool. Free parking immediately outside the property.

Not the fault of the property, but there are very limited opportunities when it came to eating decent French food in Vitry le Francois. Fortunately La Grande Brasserie was open and we enjoyed a good meal there in a busy and lively environment. But it was shutting the next day for a month for annual holidays- disaster- where else is there to eat?

Lovely old French grand maison, with plenty of original features and a view over the gardens and pool. Lots of interesting art. The grand breakfast room was provided with a buffet of fresh baguettes, croissants, jams, coffee, and more, plus oranges to put through the fresh orange juice machine. Welcoming owner and free parking right outside. Vitry le Francois is a very pleasant place to walk around, too with lots of trees, some lovely old buildings and nice restaurants on the main square.

Nothing not to like.

We checked out of the Logis in Vitry (they only had availability for one night), walked over to the Manoir François 1er and were immediately let into our room ... at 10:00 AM! (See my previous review of the Logis for a comparison) Terrific! The room was huge, with a full-sized canopy bed. Very interesting decorations. There's a swimming pool available and a nice courtyard. I wish we had found it sooner.

The breakfast was very good and plentiful, the freshly squeezed orange juice was lovely. The swimming pool was great after a hot days journey. The rooms are comfortable and good shower facilities.

Being a summer month the rooms were hot and uncomfortable, zircon would have been a bonus but fans were provided.

The decoration was nice and cosy. It felt more like home than a hotel. Christophe was very helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed our breakfasts and the pool. There is a nice bakery around the corder and it only takes 10-15 minutes to get to the maine square. We highly recommend.
