Excellent stop off around the Reims area as we drove back to the UK after ski holiday in the French Alps. We needed safe car parking due to having skis strapped to the car, so the underground car park was excellent. This hotel is in the centre of town in Chalon en Champagne- great to have a few bars to walk to for a lovely apperatif in the sunshine, along with some restaurants too. We opted for 'Shop & Bieres' which was v popular for a drink, and then the fast food 'L' Hamburgerie' opposite the hotel as we were hungry & needed to eat fast! Teenagers + husband loved their burgers & said they were super tasty! Also fun to do in the evening is a lit up route taking you around the town (look out for the blue lights to follow on the pavements) - light shows are projected into bridges & buildings called 'Metamorph/euse'. Think you can also see it from a boat trip on the river. If you have time, also good is the covered market, selling lots of lovely food, honey, freshly cooked chickens, breads, fruit & vegetables all beautifully presented. Other shops which looked good were the award winning chocolatier, near the market - it was Easter, so they had some beautiful eggs (bit out of our price range, but nice to look at all the same!) A great stop off hotel & location - definitely recommend. Teenagers liked the small gym at the hotel too!

The breakfast in the hotel was absolutely fine, but not the best we've ever had. It was, however, included in the Booking.com price, so nothing really to complain about.

Hotel was central, with car parking, the staff were really pleasant and the room was very clean. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice . Being in the city centre there was a good choice of places to eat and drink and plenty of shopping opportunities, including a covered market selling local produce.

The pillows - one large one and another more like a cushion, both hard and lumpy. We both woke up with aching necks. We've stayed in several Ibis hotels over the years, but not had this problem before.

Perfectly placed for restaurants, bars, shops; we went for a low key Christmas market - perfect, right outside the hotel. Parking under the hotel for €10 a day was very convenient and breakfast was varied and well-prepared.

Quite cold in the room on arrival, upping the temperature of the air-conditioning improved it, but couldn't find a happy medium - either too hot or too cold.

Excellent location right in the centre of town. Rooms were comfortable, good bathroom. Excellent secure parking.

Breakfast was only OK - a bit basic. Ibis decor is hard to live with. After paying for parking, we ended up spending 150€ for 1 night - I thought that was a bit steep for an Ibis, though admittedly the location was fantastic.

Very centrally located in a beautiful part of town. Comfortable bed. Good quality secure parking - for a fee. Excellent breakfast.

Typical tiny roads around the centre of town near the hotel, definitely easier to navigate in a small to medium car. Or excellent driving skills.

Receptionist was helpful. Excellent location. Highly recommend.

We would prefer to be able to book a parking space when booking the room as we travel by Motorbike and require secure parking and on arrival were told there was no spaces left. We were still able to park as the motorbike did not take up a car space.

This booking was for one night during travelling home. I thought I was booking a typical ibis hotel - on an industrial estate, nearby grill restaurant - the usual. What a surprise! In the centre of Chalons en Champagne, by all the restaurants, bars and activity on a Friday night - excellent. The decor was attractive, a bit 'funky'. Very clean, excellent bathroom and shower. Parking was a worry at first because I hadn't realised I had to book it in advance (moral - read all the small print!). But the man on reception sorted it with their underground parking for 8 Euros - a daily rate. Breakfast was also an excellent buffet including freshly squeezed orange juice. The coffee was a bit bitter for our taste but maybe that is typical French flavour. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for location, facilities and style.

There was one niggle which could irritate some guests. It did irritate me. There were no instructions for working the tv. The remote control was missing. I went to reception and they gave me a remote. It didn't work. I gave up. Could do better on this one.

We liked the central location, the underground parking, the choice of breakfast, the simple but well proportioned and comfortable rooms ... our room faced onto the busy square which had a music festival going but we slept peacefully and comfortably thanks to efficient windows and black out curtains. Impressed.

It was all good. For an overnight stop it was perfect.

This is our third time staying at this hotel and it doesn't disappoint. It is in a fantastic location right on the central square of Chalons-en-Champagne. the rooms are good and comfortable and the breakfast, whilst being "canteen" style is plentiful. There was a concert going on the night we were there but our room was still relatively quiet. We arrived by motorbike and had the added advantage of being able to park right outside. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the square outside and they suit all budgets from Champagne bars to pizza shops.

Location and breakfast were excellent

The room was very warm , woke up several times too warm even though we turned thermostat down. Would have been nice to of been able to make hot drink of tea or coffee in room when we arrived and in morning. There was no English breakfast tea at breakfast .
