The Cit'Hotel Le Montreal is located in/near an industrial area. Therefore, it was quiet in the evening as almost all of the working and shopping people had gone home. There are some restaurants and fast-food establishments within walking distance (less than five minutes). Parking was protected on-site at night. Everything was clean and the staff were very interested in making our stay an enjoyable one. The room was small. It did include a small desk where one could do some light work. The bed was nice and comfy. During our stay, we had some hot days. Surprisingly, our room was not baking like I thought it would have been. Interestingly, I did not see any AC vents. Therefore, the breezes that were made from open windows was sufficient. Breakfast was small but ok. It was enough for us to start our day without problem. The pancake machine was enjoyed.

There were some difficulties with finding plugs in our room. For all of our reliance on our phones, this meant we had to be judicious in our charging. While breakfast was good, we did run into a small problem with a lack of places to eat in the breakfast room. This was largely due to an event in the surrounding area that brought in a lot of people. While not a problem for us, this hotel is away from the city center. If you want to go there, you need a car or take the public transport. For some, this might be a deal-breaker.

Excellent location, spotlessly clean, really handy access for an overnight stop on way down France. Excellent value for money. It is on the outskirts of the town and so you do need to drive into Chalons to eat but it is only a few minutes and what a lovely town Chalons is, well worth a wonder around.. Could not fault this budget hotel. Rooms are small but spotlessly clean and made much more 'fun' with the wood cladding in all the rooms giving the inside of this bog standard 1970s building the feel of a chalet.

The only thing to be aware of is that there are no hairdryers in the rooms so if is important make sure you have one with you.

We travelled from Calais so the place is easily accessible from the A26/A4 motorways. Checking-in was good and the room on ground floor was quiet and spacious enough for us, with a comfortable bed and facilities for tea/coffee making (shower would be a little cramped for larger people). A door opened onto greenery at the back which is a plus in summer season. We had a short walk to the Italian restaurant nearby, where the food was good. We enjoyed the very varied and copious breakfast as before in the very colourful wooden decor that makes the Montréal special

Everything was perfect for me. I know the reception closes during the day, but this did not cause me any issues as I was there for one night only. The hotel is very pretty and very clean, the breakfast was enough and the staff was very professional. I would recommend it for solo travellers.

I had only one medium-sized suitcase and the place to place the luggage in the room was quite small. A large one would have been too big to put it away.

Arrived late, using as a stop over. Receptionist very nice and helpful, pointed us in the direction to a nice restaurant within 2 mins walk away, Walking distance to a few amenities. Quirky hotel, nice funky details, they had clearly made an effort, room small but nicely done, clean and warm. Great breakfast with a lot of choice and good quality. Ideal spot for us as stop over as close to get back onto main road.

For a one night stop over this was fine, for a longer stay would need a bigger room with a bigger bed!

The hotel is very pretty and unique. There was only the desk clerk that we dealt with, but he was friendly and helpful. The room was small but adequate for one night and everything was clean, well maintained and seemed new. I highly recommend it as a great value with excellent facilities for this price range. Secure parking and building access.

When we arrived we were met by a very friendly member of staff who made our check in very easy. The hotel was very comfortable with a small bar to quench your thirst after a long day on the road. there was a small restaurant just a short walk away with very good food. Overall a good experience.

Too far out of town to walk.

The hotel was very quirky and cozy. Like stepping back in time. Much effort in the decor has been taken to make the inside extremely cozy.

The Bar shut at 9, we booked so we could sit in the lovely Arm chairs and finish our holiday with a glass of wine we were happy to pay for. A man was also waiting to purchase a drink, It was 8.55 so we had enough time to get a drink but the man was on the phone and told us with hand gestures that the bar was closed. He then carried on his phone conversation. We were disappointed as would have loved a drink. Wr did sit in the lounge area with our won drink but the other man was also disappointed he couldn’t get some drinks. It’s a shame as that Bar is a great money maker for the Hotel.

Very convenient location - easy to reach from motorway and not far from centre (30 mins on foot). Large supermarket very close. Very good secure parking. Late check in was easy. Room was simple but ample space for luggage. Kettle in room is very useful. Shower worked well.

No hairdryer and only one socket in main room.

Clean and comfortable room. Bed was great and good selection at breakfast.

Room was quite small. Window Outlook wasn't great but that was down to location. From the photographs on booking.com, it didn't look like the hotel was located in what looked like a retail park.Bit of a walk into the centre of town.
