The break fast a full Jamaican, Caribbean breakfast is delicious and worth getting out of bed for.

The shower in the rooms could be a bit more up to date

The property is located on what is essentially a private beach, with every room offering ocean views. The rooms are spacious enough and the balconies are definitely a bonus. The rustic bar and restaurant by the pier adjoining the hotel is very convenient, especially since there's not a whole lot around outside of the property.

Check in and check out procedures at the property are lengthy and annoying. My room was missing a kettle for tea, etc., despite being advertised, and the free toiletries (the shower gel, specifically) had not been topped up.

This hotel is a real taste of Jamaica. The location, right on the beach, is excellent and we could walk out of our room and into the sea within a few steps. The hotel doesn't have a pool but that doesn't matter because the sea swimming is excellent. The food was some of the best we had on the island.

It's basic, compared to the All Inclusive Resorts - but we wanted authenticity and it had that in spades over the souless all inclusive villages.

Rooms all had spacious balconies with beach views. Complimentary breakfast was exceptional each morning. On-site restaurant was very good with a well rounded menu. Steps from the ocean and a good distance from the busy main strip of Ocho Rios.

Facilities were a little old but being gradually improved since repossession. The only real issue was the mattress being springy and a bit uncomfortable.

I like to start by saying the staff crew was exceptional 👌 and the breakfast was great, my hotel room was gorgeous and the environment was very welcoming. I would definitely spend another vacation at the establishment.. Sand and Tan hotel as been the best hotel I have visited since coming to St.Ann and I most say that you guys deserve all the stars 🌟 that make you guys a great hotel.

I have no complaint... All I have to say is that the hotel is the best of the best so far.. My money was well spent.

Definitely the best combo for us—gorgeous beach, views, lovely staff, and a simple breakfast for a very reasonable price. We would absolutely choose to stay here again! I really enjoyed the decor and the DIY aspects showed me that people put hard work into this hotel— beyond just pouring money into a hotel, they poured in their heart.

Google doesn’t know how to get you here. We ended up calling for extra directions, which got us there no problem. From the highway heading east, take Exchange Road and turn left into Old Road. You will drive through an area with a bunch of people who work on the river, and the hotel is just a bit further!

A Hidden Gem at San and Tan Beach Hotel I recently stayed at San and Tan Beach Hotel, and it was an incredible experience! While the hotel is reasonably priced, the quality of service exceeded our expectations. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. From check-in to check-out, they made us feel right at home. The food at San and Tan was another highlight. Each meal was delicious, with a mix of local flavors and international dishes that catered to everyone’s tastes. We particularly enjoyed the traditional Jamaican breakfast, which were both fresh and flavorful. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. The views from our balcony were breathtaking, making it the perfect spot to unwind with a drink as the sun set over the horizon. Overall, our stay at San and Tan Beach Hotel was fantastic. The combination of stunning beachfront location, friendly service, tasty food, and cozy accommodations made for a memorable trip. If you’re looking for a charming beach getaway, I highly recommend San and Tan—it’s a wonderful escape that won’t break the bank!

We liked the security staff he was so friendly, he advised us about the location what it has to offer. When we first arrived we drove up the road towards the hotel there are huts and people all around it can be a little overwhelming. Our driver told us not to leave the hotel until he arrived the next day which was as a bit frightening when we spoke to security they reassured us that nothing was going to happen and the people living outside the hotel are harmless. The next day we decided to go for a walk in the morning the people were lovely. The staff made the hotel the kitchen staff the cleaners,bar staff and security.

I didn’t like the standard of cleaning that was completed on our stay when we got to our room the room was lovely but with the Bach is right on your door step the room could have been swept and the coffee cups moved from the outside balcony and replaced so we could have fresh cups for the next morning instead of returning back to a sandy room (sorry cleaning staff)

Everything else was great! We stayed an additional night. Keep that chef! The food was some of the best we have tasted in Jamaica, The fish fingers were great, fish sandwich equally as good. The Jerk chicken was only available on one of the nights, which was a shame, but we know why... because it was divine. A must is a trip out with Ricky on the Wat a Bam Bam boat! Short drive to Dunns River Falls. Would revisit without hesitation.

AC unit on the balcony made it incredibly HOT to be out on. Making it impossible for one person to enjoy the balcony and the other be inside.
