The building is a little dated, but everything else about this hotel was great. The rooms are very spacious (especially when compared to other hotel rooms in Japan), clean, and neatly decorated. The front desk staff was kind and attentive. I especially enjoyed that they had hot chocolate at the tea station in the lobby. And they had just decorated for Christmas so it was quite cozy when you first walk in. The hotel isn’t too far away from Fujisawa station, but if you have a lot of luggage it may be a little inconvenient if you’re walking. I also found Fujisawa to be a convenient city to stay in with easy access to Enoshima Island and Kamakura as well as nice shopping.

The location is close to a bus stop and about 10 min walk from the train station and other shopping areas. The area where the hotel is feels safe and is quiet to walk around in even as a lone female traveler. Hands down the best part about this stay for me was the front desk lady, Muraura. From our first day, she helped us figure out local transit; and even explained the pick up points on a map. She was so thorough and patient when explaining things, and even made sure we got a taxi after we checked out. She was amazing and as first time traveler to Japan, I am so thankful for her help!

Nothing. I would gladly stay at this hotel again when in Japan, and have recommended it to all of my friends/family. The only minor issue I had was when a family friend came to visit me; they didn’t allow her to sit in the lobby without paying a small fee. She also wasn’t allowed to go up to our room. But again, something very small and I understand if that is their protocol. Also their dryer didn’t completely dry my clothes.

The Yen Hotel is my regular place to stay when I'm in Fujisawa. It's about a 10-minute walk from JR Fujisawa Station, but it's located in a residential area along the Sakai River, and it's in a safe environment. If you walk along the promenade along the Sakai River, you'll be able to reach the famous Enoshima Island. In spring, the cherry blossom trees along the Sakai River are also beautiful. It's a small hotel, but the service is above average.

Wonderful location which makes it easy to get to Central Tokyo within 45 minutes, the Shonan beaches within 30 minutes and Hakone and the onsens within a hour. The En Fujisawa staff are super helpful and the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

The wifi was very poor. I had several conference calls to make and the WiFi kept on cutting out. I had to hotspot from my iPhone---this made the work I had to do quite sressful.

The hotel staff was very friendly and it is located on a good location with just a small walk from the station. The room was clean and well equipped with TV, Waterboiler and other amenities.

The hotel was very noisy. The walls are thin so I could hear rooms well (could be a Japanese thing not hotel specific). We had the capsule bed. Although well equipped the bed was terrible. Good for people used to sleep on a futon but only a 2cm matras is not for me. The provided futon for our third guest was thicker and better than the capsule bed.

Always very clean and comfortable. More affordable than other hotels in the area.

The distance from the station / town centre may be an issue for some, even though it is only 10 minutes’ walk away. The roads are all very busy most of the time. (It wasn’t an issue for me as my relatives live practically next door.)

My kids loved the capsule room. A great way to experience a 'Capsule Hotel' without having to share amenities with others. The capsule was spacious that it can fit 1 adult and 1 child comfortably. Not too far from shops and station to Enoshima Island

Lift is in the garage, main entrance has stairs to go up, So a bit annoying with luggage. There is NO aircon in the room. There is a heater but would not recommend this place in summer. When I asked about how to cool the room down, opening a window was the only solution.

Staff knows english and allowed us to use the lounge for breakfast even though we didn't pay for the hotel breakfast

Room was smaller than expected, location of futon was not shown on the Internet, thus when we entered the room we realised that it was taking up most of the floor space, thus barely leaving any room to walk

Location is fine ..I can refer family and friends will comeback with the whole family in the future for sure .

My friend cant go to my room even she will not stay cause in La Pressa Inn in Ofuna at least she can help me w/ my luggage ..kind of strict she can’t even sitdown and talk to the lobby .

I always choose Hotel En when I'm in Fujisawa. It's a small hotel, but I can expect very good service and a comfortable stay. I'll definitely choose Hotel En again next time I'm in Fujisawa.

It's a little far from Fujisawa Station, but that's not a problem at all.
