The view from our room was gorgeous. I could clearly see Enoshima Island and the sea from my room. They have a shuttle bus that goes back and forth to Shichirigahama Station. The ride takes about 5 minutes. If you decide to walk it, it’s about a 10 minute walk and you’ll walk right by a 7-Eleven and some stairs to go down to the beach. The location is pretty good and the restaurants in the area are local and family owned, no chain restaurants. Some staff speaks basic English, but I did not have a problem checking in.

The building sits on a steep hill. They do have an elevator which runs from the hotel to their banquet hall, which is at the base of the hill, but it stops working after a certain time. Also, their breakfast is on the pricier end and the quality is alright.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious, the view is great even from the lower levels.

The location is great for beach vacation and potentially a business event or a wedding (as the latter seems to be the main revenue stream), however, if staying longer than a night, any hotel closer to Kamakura is probably better since there is nothing else there except a 7eleven. The shuttle bus isn't running when needed.

It was recommended that we stay at Kamakura Prince if we wanted a good view of Mt Fuji. We were very fortunate to have a great view of Mt Fuji at sunset on the day we checked in. The staff was very cordial and helpful, the breakfast was okay, and housekeeping seemed to do the best they could with this property.

It is obvious that this hotel is very old, and that major repairs and renovations are not in their plans. The bathroom was so old and you could see MOLD in the rough grout. The metal overhead vanity light fixture showed a lot of RUST (there was no ventilation in the bathroom). It was not pleasant. Prior to Kamakura Prince, we stayed at three other hotels (Tokyo, Kanazawa, and Kyoto). Unfortunately, Kamakura Prince was the most expensive hotel, but the least desirable.

This was a very nice hotel and the view of Enoshima (and, briefly, Mount Fuji) was breathtaking. The staff was great and I enjoyed a pretty reasonably priced meal at the on-site Japanese restaurant.

There's a elevator that connect the hotel lobby to an event space down a very steep hill. It would've been nice to know that before I hiked up the hill to check in.

the beds were very comfortable, the extra wide double bed is a super king bed. the staff was very helpful with our request for a cot for our son. beautiful view on the ocean.

the hotel was a bit dated but well maintained. the cot was also a bit old but it worked. there was no a strong ventilation in the bathroom though. the in room dinner and breakfast were good but a bit on the expressive side for Japan

Great location, you can see the Fuji Mountain from the room window and the rooftop garden. The breakfast restaurant has a nice view as well, peaceful atmosphere. Bed and bathroom are comfortable. There is a big supermarket and some restaurants 5 mins walk away. !!Parking is 1000 yen a day!!

Some staff’s English is not good enough.

Calm quiet hotel in a handy location with seaviews. A lovely change of pace during a busy holiday in Japan Large bathroom with separate shower and bath. Room was clean, and spacious . .

Nowhere to sit in the evening and enjoy a drink. The same breakfast was served everymorning, with limited choice of breads and no fruit. Shuttle bus finishes early and should really run to Kamakura station.

Excellence view and welcoming employees. The room is also very good and the hotel is very close to the ocean.

I think the hotel is quite dark designed/ not very bright lights. The pool is only open June to August. There is a bus going from the station to the hotel only until afternoon, therefore accessing this hotel with suitcases and without a taxi is not a good idea.

We loved the room, we had an amazing view of the town and could even see Mt Fuji! There was also a shuttle bus to the nearest station that was offered, which we greatly appreciated. The station was only 10 mins away by foot but it feels much longer when you’re pulling your luggage! The bed was HUGE, and so comfortable. The staff were lovely, we had a lovely stay there.

The bathroom wasn’t as lovely as the rest of the room was, I think the design could be improved on if any renovations will be undertaken in the future. My partner and I thought the sink was blocked up, but realised that we just don’t know how to use the sink (there was a lever we didn’t know was a lever).

From the hotel's podium, you can enjoy a marvellous view of the ocean and Enoshima Island. It's a perfect spot for capturing stunning sunset photos. The hotel is just within 5-minute walk to Shichirigahama Beach and 10 10-minute drive to Enoshima Island. The Japanese dinner at Onzoushi Kiyoyasutei, located next to the hotel, is excellent but a bit pricey.
