The location is very good and they pay attention to what they offer. The staff is very attentive.

The Hotel is pretty old and you can t fight time. They gave us separate beds allthough we are a couple and we specifically asked for a one bed. We made the reservation 3 month in advance. When we adresed the issue they told that that this is the only option and we can take it or leave. To be told this after a 12 hours flight I don t think is something you expect from a 5 stars hotel. Allthough the rest of the staff was very nice, that front desk manager is a strong reason for me to never come back to this hotel.

The buffet is fantastic. Probably the best restaurant honestly. The location is terrific, pools and beach are awesome. They were having some issues with the building when it rained, but that didn't bother us too much. The italian restaurant with pizzas to go was a really nice surprise. Drink options aren't too bad.

We were a little surprised by the restaurants other than the Italian one with Pizza. The number of offerings outside the Buffet Restaurant were very minimal. Food at the bar by the pool is pitiful. There is a little grill next to it that has good food for a couple hours, but in general if you want something off hours, it's really dicey.

Great location beach access swim up pool bar. Staff was excellent and helpful. The room was beautiful with an amazing view. Bathroom was big and spacious waterfall shower was amazing and good pressure.

Coffee shop opening earlier then 7 am for the early birds

Honestly amazing property with everything you could possibly hope for. Because of the cost I had to point out a few short comings below because for a hotel in this price point near perfection is the expectation. The service at this place is second to none and if you don’t have a great time it’s on you because the Royalton just doesn’t disappoint.

The elevators are terrible! Small, slow and too much time wasted waiting. Only one useable power outlet in the room. The shower drain was slow and nowhere near enough seating in outdoor areas around pool and on beach. Must keep pools open after dark or tell guests in hotel description that pools are not open after dark.

We loved almost everything about the property. We’ve been to 4 different properties (Mexican beach resorts) in the past 4 years, and this was our favorite! Yazmin at the crepe stand is always full of smiles and takes great care of you. Anna at the “insomnia cafe” made my wife cry on our last day, by gifting her a handmade pair of earrings. Every street vendor, as well as anybody with some type of business/scheme in Mexico is always trying to get one over on you, and Anna wouldn’t even accept money. She’s the reason we love Mexico!

Elevators are spotty. You could be waiting awhile to get on. Room service food isn’t as good as the restaurants, and has very few options. Pizza window is awesome, but closes at 6pm. We want pizza until atleast 10pm, midnight is even better. Beach chairs are on par with other resorts, meaning if you don’t claim them by 9am, then you won’t get any. There’s signs saying that you can’t hold chairs, but it’s not enforced. We had a girl try to hold 6 chairs for her and her friends, when the 2 sweet ladies next to her said nobody had been there for over 2 hours. We sat there, and had to deal with her going crazy on us. Oh well!

I like everything about it. My butler David was excellent very attentive and would go above and beyond to do the things that needed to be done. My waiter from the buffet Jesus an older man was excellent! He would be very attentive and he’s such a wonderful man and human being . I always would look for him when I went to the buffet to sit on his tables. Also the lady named Yolanda at the diamond club check in serving food, was excellent always asking me if I needed something and made me a tea the last day I was there checking out because I got sick. I have been there many times and one of the last times wasn’t a great experience, but I decided to try it again and I will for sure return again…

The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff service was perfect. Great value for money. The property is clean, modern, has a beautiful private beach and multiple pools. The breakfast buffet is really good and so are the drinks at the different bars. The spa service was lovely as well.

Although the property itself was impeccable and the staff service was great, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this hotel to everyone. It’s definitely for people looking for a loud party from early in the morning to late at night and it can get quite tacky and uncomfortable to watch/hear. Some of the guests behaviour was quite tasteless/inappropriate . This is more to do with the guests than the hotel service itself - but something to keep in mind if you’re looking to relax. The breakfast buffet food was great, but the rest of the food in the restaurants in the hotel was very mediocre. The room service left to be desired as well, took ages even for a simple dessert and the food itself wasn’t good.

The facility is amazing, the beach was very clean and amazing the service was amazing.
