Comfortable studio apartment room overlooking both the courtyard pool area and the lagoon. . Pool and bar/restaurant facilities are good and staff are friendly and efficient. The tuck shop and cafe is great too. The place is a hostel/hotel/apartment mash up so caters to a broad age group which is refreshing. Music is played from the restaurant/bar from the afternoon to midnight and is audible in the rooms, while this didn't bother me, it may not be the best option if you are looking for a quiet nights sleep. Great location but a slight spruce up of the rooms across the board would be beneficial overall.

While comfortable, the room was in need of some upkeep as the decor and building is tired and looks and feels very "used". There was a significant gap between the door frame and wall, and the door didn't fully close without being forced shut. Windows thin - the Extractor Fans from the on-site kitchen were loudly audible through to late in the night as they were located below my window. Location is the best aspect which makes this place cost effective, close to the main nightlife from Cancun hotel zone and in the border of the Laguna with some incredible view (just watch out the crocodiles). Common area of the hotel and the pool are pretty nice and beautiful. And the free classes they offer are also something outstanding. The vibe of the people and the place are just amazing! I haven't got any but the tattoo shop is something really interesting.

Cleanliness of the accommodation (floor, fan, ac, bathroom) is something they got to improve but nothing disgusting. And also the condition of the lockers is something that should be hard to control but can also improve.

Friendly staff, clean and specious room. In the hotel they have very nice parties!

The facilities exceeded my expectations! The pool was fun to hang out in, and the layout of the hostel had a decent sized walking path. The location right across from the beach was perfect. The mattresses were comfy, and I could barely hear any nightlife from the beach. Staff was very helpful and nice!

We had some trouble with the AC, and it was beeping quite often throughout the night. Plus, a few small cockroaches in the bathroom. Never found any in the bedroom though! But even with both of these minor issues, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others! Just wanted others to be informed.

I was highly impressed with the lovely setup and the immaculately clean rooms at the Salina Cancun Laguna. We did not stay in the hostel bunk tooms, because of my daughter's age, we rented a room with a private bathroom. And it was well worth the money. The bed is amazingly comfortable, great pillows and linens, there were absolutely no bugs the entire stay. Not one! There is strong AC in the rooms, great water pressure, beautiful decor, and an amazing pool setup with lit up foot bridges and beautiful stone work, and a fun little bar at the end of the property near the lagoon. The staff was the best part though. They go out of their way to make sure your trip is amazing. And even have scheduled daily activities where they take you out in groups and help show you around and how to use the bus system. they had art activities and scheduled fun that my daughter joined in on, including candle painting and bracelet making. They did daily outings to local beaches where they helped you find hidden gems. Do not waste money on taxis and Ubers, the bus is 12pesos and they come by every 4 minutes! And there is a small cafe and espresso shop in the front lobby that has food and mochas extremely better than Starbucks and way cheaper. The Selena is just a couple minutes walk from the supermarket and every amenity you might need, and within walking distance of the famous Coco bongo night district if you want to party.

I seriously have zero complaints. The Selina was the highlight of our several week stay in Cancun.

My friend and I we booked this Hotel as it was in a really good location and for the price. To be honest we didn’t expect much, but once there I have to say that has been incredible. Staff were so nice, from the Bar Staff from Reception and more. They helped with any concerns that we had and helped us all the way there. I would love to come back to Mexico, and if I do so, I will be staying on the same place. Also the swimming pool helped us to go trough the warm and having cocktails right beside the pool and the Laguna watching the sunset was so nice. Breakfast is a must, as they have a menu and they prepare it on the exact same instant.

The laguna area is quite chill and relaxing with a great view. I had breakfast there and it was amazing! The exterior and pool area is quite modern, I liked to hang out in the garden and pool area. Kitchen area was also great, you can share with other guests. The friendliness and support of the reception team was incredible! All reception team were patient with the guests and solved every problem occurred. And for my problem with the bedding, the manager Fernanda was great to help me and support me in every way with a great customer services approach. Definitely will stay again! Thank you for everything.

The property is very large, there are many places to hang out and walk around. The view of the laguna is great. The free drink was a great touch. I got upgraded to a room with fewer beds. The girl at the reception was very helpful and friendly. The location is great, because it’s close to everything, yet secluded enough to avoid the noise at night.

It seemed like a military unit was staying there, it was weird to see so many of them, especially since some of them were on patrol. The kitchen needs a good scrubbing. It had a bad smell and it wasn’t just someone’s cooking

For a hostel it was very beautiful and well priced for the hotel zone!! Glad I was able to stay there in my budget. My friends and I had a private room it was perfectly up to standard with great facilitys and aircon. Friendly staff, especially at the front desk and at the cafe. Would stay again.

A bar tender at the pool bar decided to choose his own tip instead of giving me an option like other staff memebers and I didn't notice until after paying. Be aware of being over charged! I always tip but don't appreciate it being added to my bill without me choosing it myself it's simply rude. Pool also could be cleaned a bit more regularly I had rubbish floating in there with me, but hey you get what you pay for!

The hotel has a coffee and mini market inside, the location couldn’t be any better! It has a great pool, a restaurant and a pool bar. It was really really great.

The only thing is if you are really picky and appreciate comfort on top of anything, maybe this isn’t the place for you. It was an ok room. Our room was particularly very dark, if it was more luminous it would be much much better. Our friends room was right beside ours and was much newer, much more comfortable and bright, their room was a 10, ours was a 7 - and it was exactly the same room and price selected, which is a bit weird, this gap difference.
