A beautiful quiet location on a quiet street. The hotel is immaculately clean and designed, and the staff are super helpful and accommodating and seemed to speak a variety of languages. There was a possibility to leave our bags for the day after check out and bikes to hire. The room itself was very comfortable and always felt like it was at a perfect temperature. The shower was fantastic (!) and we had a variety of amenities. Could not fault the hotel at all.

The hotel was a little difficult to find initially as it is not on the main street as expected but round the back on a little alley. But once we realised that it was easy to find and well signposted. The room was quite a bit smaller than expected but perfect for our needs.

The location is perfect. The room was beautifully designed, large and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was great and useful. The stuff was friendly and helpful. The coffee machine in the lobby was a great bonus

The only downside was that the windows don't open. It limits the ability to use the kitchen and I like fresh air. Also the room is very expensive.

Spacious rooms that are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The staff were very helpful in addressing an error in the room we were assigned. The availability of parking on site was very convenient.

The entire area around the hotel was surrounded by one way streets blocked by multiple constructions. Although outside the control of the hotel, a heads up would have made it less of a challenge.

Really nice hotel with the perfect location. It’s very central, but in a quit and local area. Very easy to check in and out. Very friendly staff at the hotel, everybody is really nice. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to come back.

The room was really small, difficult to store our clothes and stuff in the small closet. No space around the bed. Sad that it is so expensive to rent bikes and parking when you stay at the hotel. It should give an advantage when you already pay a lot to live there, but it was considerably cheaper to rent both parking and bicycles other places in the city.

Cozy, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches I stayed at Citadines Canal Amsterdam for three nights and truly enjoyed my stay. The studio-style apartment was very cozy and well-designed — with a comfortable bed, a dining table with chairs, and a fully equipped kitchen area. Everything I needed was there: plates, cutlery, and all the basic tools to prepare meals. It felt like home. One of the highlights for me was the delicious breakfast — simple, but very tasty and satisfying. I also really appreciated the self-service concept based on trust. At any time of day or night, you could take snacks, drinks (like soda, wine, beer, or juice), write down what you took on a piece of paper, and enjoy — no staff members needed. It made the stay feel very relaxed and respectful. There were also free coffee and tea stations both in the lobby and in the breakfast area, available all day. Plus, there was free filtered water — you could refill your own bottle anytime, which was so convenient. And finally, the location was perfect. The hotel is in a quiet, peaceful area, which gave it a warm, almost family-like atmosphere. At the same time, it’s just a short walk from major Amsterdam sights — the best of both worlds. I would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed staying at Citadines Canal Hotel! I loved the interiors in our room, as well as the interiors of the rest of the hotel. On the day of our arrival there was some construction happening on the main street and the room they gave us, our window was facing that particular street. When requested to change, they were eager to find us a room with a window facing a quieter street. I really appreciated that! Breakfast was also very decent and the amenities of the building such as the gym, were very good! Location wise is in a walking distance from all the main sights of the city. I also enjoyed the snack bar, where you could get anything you wanted in your room...from chocolates and drinks to bars and coffee at any time.

In the room they gave us, the 3 ceiling lights above our dining table were broken. As a person with attention to detail, I would have preferred if they had paid attention to that and change them.

The property was quite modern and looked nice. It was nice that they had a water dispenser at reception. Service was great!

The location wasn’t that great. Quite a distance to get to most attractions. The room I stayed in was quite small and the layout was quite odd - think a rearrangement of the room would help. The toilet seat was placed at the entrance of the toilet and had limited room to walk through to get to the shower/sink. Perhaps, a super single bed might be a better choice for this room as compared to a queen size bed. It felt really hard to move around especially with a luggage.

Upon check-in, we were informed that we had been given a free upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment. The apartment was very well equipped and clean, and the location was excellent. The beds were very comfortable, and the temperature of the apartment was constant without being suffocating. The ability to drop your bags before and after check out was a definite plus. Staff on reception were informative and polite. The general lounge area was great, with access to drinks and snacks on an honesty basis.

The "double" bed was, in actual fact, 2 singles pushed side by side, each with their own bedding.
