Excellent location to stay for visiting the 1944 Normandy Invasion beaches.. The ground floor room was fine and had a little outside area for sitting in the sun which was provided with a table, two chairs and a lounger. Easy access to all the Invasion beaches from Omaha to Juno and to some good eateries in Courselles and Luc-Sur-Mer. Bayeaux is a short drive away for those visiting the Tapestry and also has excellent Intermarche and Carrefour hypermarkets.

Adjacent to the rear of the hotel is a work site where, during our visit, a tractor was left idling all day when it wasn't being worked for moving items around the site, causing diesel fumes to enter the room if the door was open and also prevented us from sitting outside. This wouldn't be a problem if the person managing the site could be persuaded to turn off the engine when the tractor isn't being worked.

The hotel is in a great location, and great access to the surrounding areas. Secure parking is great, and very friendly staff. Rooms were always kept clean apart from initial opening of the kitchen section in the room. Having stayed nearby previously this was a really good place for a few days stay. Extremely close to the beach as stated which was great.

Disappointed about an additional charge to use the kitchen facilities in the room as I booked a family room thinking it was all included. This needs to be highlighted better so people are aware. Wi-Fi is stated as unlimited however this barely worked in our room and was extremely slow. This isn’t a huge issue as didn’t go to surf the internet but when you are planning next day trips it made it difficult.

A very convenient hotel to all the WW2 beach areas of Normandy. Marie the receptionist was extremely competent, friendly and went out of her way to make us welcome. Very useful to have a fridge in the room.

Air conditioning would have been preferable, however Marie managed to obtain a fan for us. To have a room with a kitchenette requires pre-booking and this is not clear from the booking.com site.

Ideal location for visiting the d-day beaches. Walking distance to Gold beach and a short drive to the British Memorial. Excellent pizza place right next door. Carreforre 10 minute walk. Very spacious room with fridge and kettle for your snacks. Excellent water cooler in the corridor which also has sparkling water! Also little patio area and sun lounger.

Needs a bit of updating and slight repairs, like a big crack in the bathroom but nothing major.

Location was perfect for my purposes. Free WiFi was exceptional. The property was clean,comfortable, efficient, secure and friendly. Secure parking.

An English speaking news channel would have been welcome but this is not a negative just an observation. A kettle in the room would have been a nice touch, but hot water facilities were available in a lobby.

Central position, good base for touring.

The room we booked had to replace the key as wouldn’t open, came back after several change of keycards and gave us a different room. Late at night they again locked us out of the room. Room was a little tired didn’t venture up the stairs to the top bed as was told stairs just been fixed be careful. breakfast was ok, the gentleman who did t breakfast told us he had to serve us , which he did the first morning and then the second morning he told get it yourself . Instructions for access we received by email they didn’t work. The two girls at reception were really helpful.

Booked at the last minute for an overnight stop to Calais with my mum and 2 dogs. Lovely big comfortable bed,with a tv,bath and shower with lots of hot water and a garden area to enjoy the sunshine in. Plenty of parking available and close to the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful .

My only criticism was the kitchen area.The utensils are kept in high cupboards above the sink area which I could reach as I am tall,but my mum had no hope of reaching anything as she is only 5ft tall.

the location was excellent, maybe have tea and coffee facilities in the room, no restaurants open in the area was disappointing if i'd had known that at time of booking i would have stopped and fed my family prior to arrival.

It was close to the beach and the village centre. Young girl on reception was very helpful. Room was okay size with a door to a garden area, and it was clean.

Shower water wouldn’t go down and poured out all over the floor.

Great location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast and gated parking, which for me was important as I had a 1942 Jeep. It gave me peace of mind knowing it was locked in at night.

Lift was often full of bed linen and you couldn't use the lift. Ok for me, but not if you needed it.
