The host Laurent is very nice and was very helpful in ensuring that our stay was enjoyable, from looking for a restaurant open on Easter Sunday to recommending what to visit in Normandy, and cooking crêpes. The rooms were very well appointed and decorated. The beds are super comfortable and quiet; we slept soundly. Centrally located, the Bayeux Tapestry museum is across the street. The town and river walk are charming. Parking close by. I used the free parking map.

Laurent was the perfect host and our stay at Camelia was delightful. The location was ideal for accessing the town on foot and it was a fairly easy walk from the train station. The accomodations were very comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water. Laurent ensured that we had super-fresh baked goods to go with a simple but delicious breakfast every morning, including our departure day where he served us breakfast very early in the morning to ensure that we were well fed before our trip. He thoughtfully recommended some excellent restaurants and was cheerful and helpoful throughout our stay.

We had Omaha Room, which was well decorated and spotlessly clean. The bedroom had two windows and the bathroom had another. The bed was at least king sized and was very comfortable, with good pillows and crisp white linen. There was also a small table and two chairs. The bathroom was well equipped and looked quite new. The shower was excellent. The location was brilliant for many great restaurants, the Bayeux Tapestry and the cathedral. Parking was free on the street. Breakfast was continental style and we even had enough to take some French bread, meat and cheese for our lunch. Laurent, the owner, is a gentleman and a very good host.

Our stay was superb. If we were to be pernickety, then the only thing to improve it would be some English Breakfast tea (there was a good selection of flavoured teas and Earl Grey), and some coffee pods for the coffee maker in the room. But that is very minor criticism.

The proprietor is very nice and helpful. The room is nicely appointed with good linens, comfortable bed, two sitting chairs with tea kettle, and a really nice bathroom with a full tub, towel heater that worked, and a large sink. The location is charming, as it looks out over the old, narrow city streets. We enjoyed opening our windows to the flower boxes and the fresh air in the morning.

There is no designated parking. It’s street parking, which was one night easy and one night difficult to find. Looking out on the street, though truly charming, also came with the problem that the bar down the street was loud until late at night. The windows were relatively soundproof, but we like to sleep with fresh air and were not able to do this.

Fabulous effusive wonderful host - we so enjoyed our conversations! Terrific breakfast every day but you might need to up your excercise regimen a bit (that circular staircase is not very forgiving) - but it is all worth it! You can stroll one block for tasty gallettes, go another block and you have 3-4 restaurants available and one block further puts you at the cathedral and the main shopping street ... couldn't have been a better location!

We came by car to Bayeau, and found street parking hard to find and very confusing. Our host helped us figure out what is available but it is not intuitive if you are a 1st time driver in France. We learned the best solution was to get a "Blue Disk" at the local Tabac (for about 3 euros) that can be used throughout France. This cheap investment allows parking in blue marked spaces per the locally posted hours/rules.

Location was excellent, within walking distance of train station and old city and Abbey. Owner Laurent was extremely friendly and offered different places to go in the region. Breakfast was a great start to the day. At checkout was able to store our luggage until time to take train back to Paris.Lots of free street parking for vehicle.

Very cozy hotel. Beautiful, clean, with very good energy. Very hospitable host. Many thanks for his hospitality. A hotel in the heart of the breathtakingly beautiful city of Bayeux. The room was big enough for a couple. We were staying with a great view of the street. The hotel looks very clean and charming. Nice furniture, plumbing, fresh flowers. Fresh linen, new plumbing. Everything is made with the soul of its owner. Each room has its own name. We had Chambre Gold Beach. The breakfast was very good. Continental. Fresh coffee, croissants, fruits, cheeses. Bayeux Cathedral is just a 2 min by walk from the hotel. The Carpet Museum is just a 1 min walk away. We liked everything in the hotel and in the city.

My only regret is that I would have liked to have spent more time in this lovely hotel and also in Bayeux

Camélia B&B is very central -opposite the museum of Bayeux Tapestry and easy walking distance to centre and places to eat. Camélia is tidy, modern, very clean, bright and well cared for. Laurent the owner is so helpful and cannot do enough for his guests. He is a great proprietor! Continental breakfast is a delight with lovely choices. We found plenty parking places in the street around the corner.

Nothing.

We stayed five nights in Laurent’s home. It was lovely. A perfect location, wonderfully renovated. A delightful breakfast each morning at a time of our choosing. We would recommend this property unhesitatingly and, in Laurent, it feels like we have made a new friend.

We were more than happy with all aspects. I don’t believe in looking for problems if there are none.

Location is amazing. Right next to the famous tapestry museum, just a few blocks from the stunning 1,000 year old cathedral, and plenty of food options. Also the host, Laurent, is very helpful and nice. We had fresh flowers in our rooms and a nice breakfast each morning. Comfortable beds. Very clean.
