Not only will you enjoy a clean and comfortable bed, a terrace with a breathtaking view of the hills spread below and a generous and varied breakfast, but also the host of La Charmeraie, Georges Simonini, his wife and dog Tango. Georges is not only an attentive and warm hearted host - he is also a renowned sculptural artist with whom you can conduct a philosophical conversation about his works of art, life projects and the meaning of life. Everything at La Charmeraie comes from the heart!

The breakfast was very special.Local produce was used.There was a lovely fruit salad and homemade yoghurt,freshly pressed orange juice,lovely coffee,lovely local and homemade jams,honey,local bread and croissants,all in very attractive and cosy room. Our host welcomed us warmly and we sat outside to admire the view and were offered a drink.The bedroom was beautiful and looked out to the hills.The lounge/breakfast room was artistically furnished and very cosy.

The breakfast George provided was outstanding. This coupled with the amazing views from the private terrace made breakfast one of the highlights of our stay. The location was ‘magical’ - Montpeyroux is full of charm, historic interest, amazing architecture and magnificent views! The restaurants and shops were an added bonus. The bed was super comfy and the accommodation exceeded our expectations and was spotlessly clean. We intend to go back again!

We should have stayed longer !!!

The view was amazing, having our own terrace overlooking the countryside. Breakfast was incredible: croissants, jam, butter, baguette, cheese, eggs, cofee, fruit, yougurt...!! Charming sitting area next to the bedroom.

WiFi was spotty and not available in the bedroom or balcony. The owner tried to persuade us not to use the heating and said the blankets were sufficient, but it wasn't! It was a cold night and the radiator in the room didn't work for more than a few minutes.

The property was in a beautiful location with views over the surrounding countryside. The property was exceptional with more facilities than we expected: a separate lounge and an outside terrace. The decor and furnishing were of a very high quality. I would love some of the pieces in my home! The bed was really comfortable and it was quiet and cosy. There were restaurants near by and ample parking. The breakfast was delicious. We were made to feel very welcome.

The view of the surrounding countryside from the bedroom and the terrace is spectacular. Breakfast included home made yoghurt and jams, fresh fruit and delicious coffee., together with eggs and local fresh bread. The property is as its name describes, charming. As was the host!

Some instructions on how to navigate to the property by car would be helpful.

Normally you have a bedroom & bathroom but this is an exceptional suite, architecturally quite stunning. The breakfast was simple but lovely with freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade jams. There are two very nice restaurants within easy walking distance.

The chambre dote is quite difficult to find and even though it is signposted at the entrance to the town it could do with a much clearer sign at the property particularly when it is dark. The owner did however meet us when phoned to show us the way.

An incredible location, with a beautiful terrace overlooking fantastic views. The accommodation was so characterful, comfortable, well furnished and extremely clean. The host was very welcoming and even supplied me with a lovely cold beer on arrival. The breakfast was superb and very generous. I cannot recommend staying there enough.

Everything was perfect! The beautifully decorated room had a comfortable bed and a good sized adjoining living room. Super art work and every comfort we could possibly want. The breakfast was amazing. Possibly the best continental breakfast I have ever eaten with plenty of exotic fresh fruit, delicious home- made yoghurt, croissants, local cheeses, interesting jams etc. We had our own large private terrace with outdoor furniture, fragrant plants and lovely views. Our host was helpful and friendly. The attention to detail throughout was really impressive. This place was excellent value for money.

Everything was great

I honestly can not put into words how beautiful this accommodation and location is. The host is excellent and attentive with great advice on local restaurants and provided us with a superb breakfast. The small village is beyond beautiful and we ate at one of its exceptional restaurants in the evening. We only stayed for 1 night but could have stayed forever…..honestly.

That we had to leave.
