ROOM: The room was decent size and had a small kitchenette, just like we wanted. LOCATION: The hotel is located right in front of one of the entrances into the historic Medieval city centre. However, getting to the main tourist attractions involves a good walk of 30-40 minutes, the first 20 of which take you through some less picturesque blocks inhabited with university students. But the area is very safe with people milling around late at night. There is a medium-size supermarket called Netty in the same block as the hotel that has a good selection of food in case one wants to eat in the room. If you travel by car you can pull up right to the hotel's entrance and load/unload the bags in a special drop-off lane along the sidewalk. And if the lane is already taken up by other cars you can stop in the driveway leading to the side of the hotel and unload right next to the metal side gate. BREAKFAST: Breakfast was pretty decent (eggs, bacon, muesli/cereal, croissants, pan-aux-chocolat, jams, cheeses, cold meats, apples and bananas) and it cost a reasonable EUR 13 per person. PARKING: I parked the rental car on the free city-run parking lot called Italiens a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I have seen reports of people's cars being broken into and stuff stolen from them, but one must be vigilant to seek out a well lit and highly visible location and to never ever leave anything that might attract thieves' attention in the car's salon. Best to take all valuables with you, leave the seats completely bare and put non-valuables in the trunk.

The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and there were plenty of facilities for cooking in it. The hotel's location was ideal for the city centre, which was about 10-15 minutes walk away. The city of Avignon is very picturesque. I was only there for 2 nights but would certainly visit the city again.

The hotel was on a main road and my room was on the third floor. I left the window open at night and the road traffic occasionally woke me up. Though there were safety bars outside the window, I would have preferred the window to have a restricted opening or have some further safety restrictions. In my opinion this would have made the room a little bit more safe. There was no space in the hotel's underground car park, they were all fully booked when I got there. Fortunately there was a supermarket car park next to it that wasn't too expensive. There is a free car park nearby but it's about 10 minutes walk away.

Room was pretty large and the kitchenette incredibly useful. Bathrooms were spacious as well, and all very clean. Location of this hotel is ideal as it is slightly out of the town which means it is quiet, but in walking distance to everything (and a gorgeous walk through restaurants and bars down to the centre). Reception were great with recommendations, and when they had a system issue to replace my cards they got in touch quickly and offered a solution.

The parking situation is unclear, you need to park in front of the hotel to pick up your keys and a ticket before you can enter the parking lot (which is on a one way street). Make sure as you come round the corner, you pull straight into the little dropoff zone in front of the hotel. Kitchen is pretty small if you are expecting to do any major cooking experiences.

We have just returned from a fabulous 7 day stay at ApartHotel Sainte-Marthe. The apartment had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, there was a coffee machine also, microwave and they even provided kitchen essentials such as washing up liquid/tea towel etc. We had very effective air conditioning. It is within walking distance of the centre of Avignon, lots of restaurants nearby and cafes. Staff very friendly and willing to help with any queries. Supermarket just next door too. A lovely hotel, we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

There is nothing that we didn't like. The tea cups in the apartment could perhaps be a big bigger, especially if you like a nice cup of tea, but we managed!

The air conditioning was much appreciated. We had everything we needed, and it was great to have a supermarket and pizza restaurant/take-away next door. We paid extra to have a balcony so were able to sit outside for breakfast before it got too hot. We were able to walk into the beautiful city centre for sight-seeing and restaurants, and there were good buses (some of them free) around the city and out into the countryside. My partner made good use of the fitness suite, which wasn't busy.

The furnishings were basic and the kitchenette small, but we had what we wanted most (a fridge and a kettle) - there was also a coffee machine and hob if we had wanted to cook.

Nice hotel, part of it is a dormitory, but it is well equipped and soundproofed. The room has a kitchen with equipment, a good bed and a good bathroom. It is close to the center, the shop is right in the building. Parking in the garage and in the parking lot. Access to the building and card area from all sides. In the corridor, a nice terrace with a view of the city.

When one is not yet accommodated, there is a problem with parking. That is, it is not obvious from the street. Even when leaving, there is nowhere to park the car for a while until I return the card. The garage is quite narrow, but that is apparently the norm in France. Otherwise everything is fine.

It's a great location to explore the city. There is a grocery store in the next building, a bus stop across the street, and the train station is not too far off if you've been sitting all day and didn't overpack. I found the staff very helpful and engaging.

I highly recommend you switch to the accordion-style shower closure, because I did not enjoy the curtain experience.

Perfect location if arriving with car! Staff was helpful and arranged a parking space for me, even if I forgot to make reservations for it. All historical sites are within walking distance from hotel, restaurants, fast-food joints and supermarkets are within 10min walk from hotel. Spacious room with kitchenette and utensils. A quite and neat place to stay at for a few nights.

The shower in our room could have been better and more modern A little more space in the bedroom would have been good but we didn't spend much time there.

The employees are very friendly, attentive, helpful, and speak good English. They let me park my motorbike and leave my stuff even before I could check in. The breakfast is ok, there's also a laundry room.

Be aware that you're expected to empty the trash can upon leaving, otherwise there's a 20 euro penalty. The hours of the reception are also limited in Mediterranean fashion. There are 1-2 sachets of soap, bring your own.
