This was a wonderful experience. The home is centuries old but the bathrooms, electrical and kitchen have all been updated. The bedrooms have high ceilings and are decorated uniquely with antique touches. The owner greeted us each morning with a cold breakfast of cereals, fresh fruit and breads, homemade yogurt, juices, coffee and tea. She made restaurant reservations for us at a Michelin 1-star just 100 feet from her front door and advised about taxis, trains, etc. This B&B is right in the center of the historic places you want to visit.

This is a caution, not a dislike. There are two guest suites on the ground floor and three on the next floor up. The breakfast room is also on that next floor up. The family lives on the top floor and we could hardly hear them.

La Petite Saunerie os a gem, a beautiful family home where guests are welcomed warmly. Breakfast consists of home made yoghurt, cakes, bread and jams along with beautiful fresh fruits, all served at a large table in the family kitchen. The convivial atmosphere encourages guests of all nationalities to converse and exchange tips and recommendations for Avignon. Host Anne-Lise is welcoming and friendly, and keen to make sure guests get the best of their stay in this lovely city. Would highly recommend!

This is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast provided by gracious hosts. Spacious room, convenient location, superior breakfasts make this a special home away from home. We stayed 4 nights and would have been very comfortable being there a week.

We left our window open at night so we got the noise from the street below. Amazing how late some people stay up and how loud the are.

It was very special place, very nice and old house in the center of Avignon, closed to most of places we wanted to visit. We had a very nice room with a bathroom, we enjoyed original furniture which fit into the old house. Even thought the house was in the center, it was quite quiet during night. We had a breakfast in a kitchen of the hosting family with the rest of quests, which was very pleasant. Most of the breakfast, such as jams and different cakes were homemade. It was good that we could communicate in English without problems. We traveled with a car and even though it was not possible to park directly in front of the building, we managed to park in a parking place which was not far away.

We have not had any. The only warning for those who have allergies, in the family was a cat.

Excellent location, beautiful old building with many original features and sensitively decorated. Good modern en-suite and added benefit of seating area and fridge/microwave/coffee machine. We enjoyed the internal courtyard with a glass of wine and a few games of cards before going out for dinner. Hostess very helpful, excellent restaurant recommendations, all homemade products for breakfast in her kitchen. Excellent secure bike storage!

Only one of us got a hot shower, had we been staying a second night would have checked on how this could be improved.

It is a hotel particulier that has been wonderfully renovated, 5 minutes away from the Papal Palace. The rooms have been furnished in a delicate French countryside style, with taste and elegance. All the rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms have been refurbished recently with modern lighting. The owners are welcoming and friendly, open for a chat and flexible. The breakfast is a wonderful moment: fresh bread and pastries from the local bakery, cheese and homemade yoghurts, homemade marmelade and jams, organic fresh juice from a local orchard farm. We stayed only two nights but wished we could have stayed much longer! We will always go there from now on!

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this centrally located place, greatly enhanced by the excellent breakfast provided. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring a wide array of choices from fresh pastries and fruits to hot, savory dishes. Everything was delicious and well-prepared, providing a perfect start to our day. The hotel's central location made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city's main attractions, shopping, and dining options, all within easy walking distance. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our brief visit smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking quality accommodations in the heart of the city, especially if you're pressed for time but want to experience the best of the area.

Our stay at Saunerie was very pleasant. Anne Lisa is a friendly and caring hostess. For breakfast she serves homemade cakes 🙂. The room we occupied was comfortable and very nicely furnished, with great taste and good quality. In this historical house, wonderful elements of the interior have been preserved, such as marble fireplaces, wonderful mirrors, terracotta floors and many others. This gives this place a special atmosphere. Thank you for the opportunity to spend a lovely weekend in this beautiful place.

Historic building with lots of character in an excellent location in the medieval city - away from the tourist hot spots but a very short walk to shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious with a modern en suite shower room, large comfortable double bed and table and chairs. The high ceilings and narrow shady street kept it cool. Breakfast was with other guests with local and homemade produce. The rooms are part of the family home and the host was very helpful.

If you enjoy history you’ll enjoy your stay in this historic house in the historical part of Avignon. Anne Lise is a friendly and helpful host, with good recommendations for places to visit nearby. The breakfast with homemade jams, yoghurt, croissants and fruit including the most delicious strawberries was an excellent start to the day and our room was clean and comfortable. All the main attractions are within easy walking distance and there are good restaurants, wine bars and historical sights very close by.
