Comfortable, clean, welcoming, quiet and efficient air con,, restful courtyard offering shade. Excellent buffet breakfast, which most guests took in the courtyard. One day we had good simple breakfast at a cafe bar about 200 m away - about half the cost of hotel breakfast Location just inside old city wall ten minutes easy walk from SNCF Station ( to and from which there are frequent trains to TGV station). Arriving at TGV at 9.20pm we took taxi to hotel 23 eu) but took train on departure which was cheap and convenient. Old city is easy to walk around. From hotel to Papal Palace and the Bridge on opposite side of the walled city took 15 to 20 minutes.

No lift so if that is a problem ask for a ground floor room when booking

This hotel is an absolute delight, if you are staying overnight in Avignon you owe it to yourself to stay here. An incredible value, the staff is wonderful, the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, the bathroom modern and well equipped. There is powerful air conditioning and the room was chilled for us by the time we got there. The breakfast is included and you can eat it in the shady, romantic courtyard. Walking distance to the entire old town, about 3 minutes walk to the the incredible farmer's market and a fantastic bakery. The Papal Palace is about a 15 minute walk.

It couldn't have been better, it was a dream, I am in love with this hotel!

We had a triple room on the ground floor level. The room was a good size and had a great bathroom. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is near the train station (about a 10 minute walk), and just inside the city walls. There are restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, and it is not too far to walk into the heart of Avignon. There was a nice communal outdoor area where guests could sit to chat and have a drink etc. No parking lot as Avignon is mainly pedestrian inside the city walls, but the hotel can organise parking (we didn't use this, but heard it being offered to others).

Nothing to do with the hotel but some of the surrounding streets are very quiet and not well lit at night. If you go out to dinner, I would recommend that you walk back to the hotel along the main road outside the city wall (the hotel is right next to an entrance through the wall).

Gorgeous little room with ensuite in lovely hotel overlooking a courtyard garden. Comfy bed, sparkling clean. Fabulous breakfast and coffee, close to everything. There was a car park (for a little extra) and the hotel is on the edge of the walled city with ease of access to the countryside if you plan on doing some touring. The staff could not have been more helpful. I decided to extend my stay.

There was a bright light on the stairs next to the room that stayed on throughout the night, and a thin curtain over the window, so the room was not dark. I was grateful for my eye mask!

The hotel is at an excellent and practical location, very close to the main train and bus station, and barely a 5 minute walk to the centre. It is on a corner, but most of the rooms look to the courtyard (very nice and shady place where you can sit and enjoy your coffee), so they are quiet. The staff at the reception and breakfast room were very helpful and nice, thank you!! The rooms are large, with a lot of light. Nice place to stay!

There was this little mosquito that drove us crazy :-))) but we managed to find it soon enough. That is the downside of the nice inner courtyard I guess.

The hotel was wonderful. The room and common areas are spotless and even spacious for a room in France. There is shelving and drawers to unpack two suitcases. Both of the women (sorry to forget their names) at the reception desk were extremely welcoming and helpful with activity and restaurant suggestions and making local calls for us as we do not speak French. The hotel is just at the edge of the old city. Literally by the wall. You do have to walk a bit (10 or 15 minutes) but you can easily access serval different plazas and restaurant areas.

Good location, just inside the city walls. Away from the hubbub, touristy area but still within walking distance of things to do/restaurants. Also close to bus and train station and can book parking if needed. For the price an excellent, little hotel with friendly staff. Smallish room but all had amenities, spotless and nice bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay here, perfect for three nights in Avignon.

Great location close to the train station, the old centre and many restaurants. Comfortable beds, good AC and nice showers. Staff were kind.

The restroom in my room had quite a few ants and by the last day I did notice some in the main room and on the bed. Every time you left the hotel you had to leave your key, and more than once I came back and had to wait at least 10 minutes until staff were available to give the key to get into the room.

1. The bed is good. 2. There is space for a good bath and the shower is good. Well organized bathroom. 3. The location is good. There are bars and restaurants nearby. It is a short walk to the historic center. 4. The staff is very kind. I liked it and I will probably stay at the same hotel again. But I'm not going to put the car in the garage.

There's no refrigerator in the bedroom, and I like having a refrigerator in the room. The floor in the room looks like plastic, it looks cheap. But the furniture is good, solid, with good structure The hotel is a 2 store building without lifts. But there are rooms on the ground floor. The garage is in another place and it's hard to park.

The outside area along the sidewalks and buildings on the main street side that runs along The Wall were dirty and cluttered with litter, but that is the city's responsibility - just not the high end part of the city No elevator - makes larger suitcase lifting and maneuvering more difficult especially on curved staircase ( but the curved staircase adds to charm of place and the staff help get our luggage up to our room- so nice!) Not near the main square ( Popes' Palace area) so very limited shopping and eating ( found a wonderful French pastry fairly close by though)
