Best parts about this hotel are its proximity to the railroad station and its breakfast. It is literally feet from the Gare. Just turn right once you're out the door. If you walk to the street, you'll have difficulty finding the entrance. The breakfast is buffet and has a variety, including eggs, a plus for me. Others talk about the great view of the old city walls, but my view was of the railroad tracks, but that was ok. The room was large enough, clean, etc.

View, but no problem. Although hotel is very close to Avignon Central RR station, beware that Avignon has two stations - who knew? I found out when I was waiting for my train to Paris. Luckily, I had enough time to take a train that connects to Avignon TVG, where my train was leaving from.

Standard ibis format but above average in all respects. Superb location next to train station and across road from city wall. Rooms sound isolation from trains and traffic virtually complete. Interior sound isolation also excellent. Usual super comfy mattress. Clean. Fast wifi. Staff friendly and helpful. For Avignon prices good value for money when we booked.

Bed linen clean no smell. Why were all the towels washed in fragranced detergent. If towels clean no fragrance necessary. Increasingly most big hotel chains would not use these detergents. Irritating for many folk and the chemicals wash into our waterways.

We travelled by train from the UK and stayed at the beginning and end of our holiday. The location was perfect - a 2 minute walk to the station and car park. The room was clean and quiet with lovely views over the old city walls.

The room would be a little cramped if staying for more than one or two nights. The first room we stayed in was a bit stuffy as air con wasn’t great, the second was ok but the hairdryer didn’t work. I was offered another room but I’d already unpacked, all I wanted was a hairdryer but they didn’t have any spares so I used the one in my friends room.

The hotel is good but the cashback from Booking.com is still outstanding. It repeatedly sent emails saying that update of my credit card was required. I have checked with the card issuer which has confirmed that my card is in order. I have updated Booking.com with this card several times but no cashback has been made till now. There is no way for me to reflect to Booking.com but this channel. Please action immediately and do not use my card not in order as an excuse. In fact, Booking.com has made cash payout to me via the same card successfully few months ago

We picked the Ibis location because we planned to go to Pont de Gard aqueduct the next morning, on the bus located next door. The room was clean and the common areas were attractive. People at the desk were helpful and they stored our bags while we were gone. We were very satisfied with our one night stay.

The hotel is above the street level and the taxi dropped us about a block away.

The hotel is simple, but on the plus side, the interiors have been recently renovated. During our stay, the area was rather chaotic due to the reconstruction works of Avignon's central station. The historic centre of the city is a short walk away. The price of parking at the central station was acceptable for an overnight stay (12 hours cost 12 euros aprox).

The room we stayed in was small and the bathroom needs better maintenance to match the rest of the decor. The bottle of soap for hand washing was empty, only two very well worn towels were provided. The 1st floor is not easily accessible for wheelchairs due to the few steps to climb. The price/quality ratio is not convincing. There was no minibar, instead there were vending machines for drinks and food.

Brilliant location right next to the train station and across from the historic town walls. Comfortable, small rooms. Breakfast was the highlight of every day - such a variety of food and excellent quality. Bar staff were friendly and the happy hour prices very acceptable,

Re-construction of pathways made access a little difficult - NOT the hotel's fault - and it will be great when it is finished.

The location was perfect between Ty of the train station and bus station. Also opposite one of the entrances into the walled city of Avignon. Good choice of breakfast.

Not the most comfortable of beds. Twin room beds were so narrow. Even though was only myself .

Great value, comfy bed, good location. We actually had breakfast and dinner as part of our package, though dinner was hit or miss, and despite the language barrier, Karima who served us really did her utmost to look after us and she was just great!

Having arrived early, the receptionist lectured us because we had booked through booking.com. we couldn't check in until 3 pm. However, having then filled in forms and joining the Ibis scheme, we were given a room straight away! Because of building work, not straight forward trying to find main reception.

Although the rooms were on the small side, they were clean, quiet, and well-appointed. Comfortable bed, fabulous views of the old city walls, fabulous breakfast. If I'm ever again in Avignon I'll definitely book a room there!

It was a little hard to find the entrance, but after that, no problems at all!
