The hotel is in a great location, very short walk to everything, including the bus station and local train station (not TGV). The room is very attractive and a nice size; the bathroom is big. We do wish there was more room for our clothes. We had the breakfast once during our 5 night stay and it was terrific. The breads were freshly baked. There was a nice array of cheeses, meats cereal, eggs. We thought it was an good value if you like to eat a few items for breakfast. The staff was all very nice and helpful. All in all, we highly recommend the hotel and will stay there again if we return to Avignon.

Our suite was exceptional! Just like the photo of the room I booked, but even better in person. We loved the three sets of French doors to the terrace, as we used it daily. The bedroom was very nice and large; but, that bath was amazing!! We loved the separate tub. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The staff in the lobby/bar were wonderful and very accommodating. The location absolutely perfect. We could see the Palais de Papes and Notre Dame from our terrace. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Avignon!! This was my favorite hotel in four cities for an almost month-long stay in Provence!!

There was a question about lighting: the room was a little dark, even with all of the lights on; but, we just opened the drapes and doors, so it was fine for me.

We stayed 1 night only on the way back to north, from south coast holiday. Hotel is in the restricted car zone, but the secure city carpark is close by and it was easy 3 min walk, even with some luggage, which in hotel was handled by them. It is lovely renovated property, in the heart of the old town. Very comfortable room, especially the bed. We were too tired to go out and ordered room service, which was very tasty. Staff went out of their way to assist and are real asset in this hotel. There is lots of comments about the showers, so we were aware and didn't get caught by surprise. The bath is obviously a design feature and it works. The only missing thing is a rail to hold onto when getting out. Decent breakfast buffet.

The hotel is located just 5 minutes from the Avignon Centre train station and is very close to nearby attractions. The room is equipped with air conditioning, which is ideal for summer travel. The reception staff are very friendly, and the beds are comfortable. The hotel offers nice amenities as well - nespresso machine, toiletteries, plush towels, bedroom slippers etc. We felt especially welcomed by a thoughtful note and a gift that awaited us in our room. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting Avignon.

Nothing, it was perfect!

This property is central Avignon. Very handy for access if you are arriving by car (local car parking facilities right across the street) or by train (train station a few minutes walk). Its main rooms front the Rue de la Republique which afford a lovely view of Avignon. A perfectly situated hotel. The staff are warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable. They provided recommendations for dinner which didn’t disappoint. Recommendations for parking when we hired a car, and even provided umbrellas when it rained. The Palais du Papes is a 5-10 minute walk. An ideal base for a city break in Avignon or as a base to explore wider Provence. We were also very fortunate to be upgraded to a suite which was a really lovely surprise

Breakfast is pricey at €18 per person. This is fine if you are someone who eats a lot of breakfast but if you just want coffee and pastries then any of the patisseries will fulfill your needs for less than half that price

Location was excellent. We took the train to Avignon and it was a short walk to the hotel. It is also a comfortable walking distance from all of the sights. Our room faced the back, so it was very quiet. The hotel has a modern decor. The front staff was always helpful. Everything was clean and the bathroom is quite large.

Our room felt a bit small. We had to move the chair around to be able to get out of bed easily. (Not all the rooms are the same layout though.) One thing to note that some (all?) the rooms have a glass door to the tub/shower and sink area and there is a large window (with a dark curtain) right next to a bathtub, so if privacy is an issue for you, you should check this with the hotel prior to your arrival. Also, the bathtub is quite high, so someone with limited mobility might find it difficult to get into.

The location was incredible, within easy walking distance of all the sights. The hotel was much nicer than I expected for the price--we visited during shoulder season so I imagine we paid less than others might during the summer. The room was clean, spacious and well decorated. There were many wonderful restaurants nearby, so we never tried the one in the hotel.

The elevators were small and somewhat slow, so my sister and I often took the stairs. It did give us an opportunity to see the beautiful decor, though. There were no laundry facilities, though you can have your clothing sent off for cleaning (a little more than I wanted to pay, however).

The location was perfect for a first visit to Avignon. Walkable to all the sites and the train station but in a quieter area. The property is a beautiful looking property in all ways . The external look, the public areas and the room itself . The room is large, aesthetically beautiful, quiet, had a very comfortable bed and great bathroom with a window. The quality of the buffet breakfast and breakfast room and service was very good.

Small things. A bar fridge and the reading lights could be brighter and the shower could have a grab bar.

Our room had been well renovated and featured good facilities: chrome cast tv, tea and coffee maker, very good silent air-conditioning, large windows overlooking a small garden and providing natural ventilation.

A criticism is that the shower cabinet is in the centre of the room and is transparent so no privacy when showering. The room (308) was rectangular with cramped living space and also no wall space to hang wet towels.

The hotel is in a very nice looking building on the Main Street of Avignon, about 500 m. from the palace. The room was tastefully appointed and comfortable. The view from the room was quite spectacular.

I wish the staff had told us to not try accessing by car when we called ahead. There are strict restrictions in the city center and it is better to just park and carry bags instead of negotiating passage by car. Also, a couple of hours before arriving, we attempted to contact the hotel by phone for over 30 minutes! We tried 3 different times and got the recorded greeting each time. Even after waiting over 10 minutes each time, no one picked up. We ran into problems in the city and walked to the hotel to ask for help from the employee who did not pick up the phone! And he was as unhelpful as one can get! When confronted, he was not apologetic and offered no explanation - in fact the phone ring had been muted.
